I like "Sasha" as well but he will not beat Klitschko. At 6'2, 220 he is too small.

I too am a big Povetkin fan, and I also think he isn't ready for Klitschko yet. However, I don't think his size has anything to do with it. It's his style, and defense. It's true that big heavyweights are very "in" right now, and a big skilled fighter will almost always beat a skilled little fighter. Manny Steward himself said Chagaev would be the worst fight for Klitschko. Chagaev is also the smallest of all the title holders.

That being said, in a few years time, Povetkin has the potential to be one of the best of all time. Either way, white fighters are continuing their dominance of boxing!

Be careful what you wish for Povetkin, I admire his courage though and of course his business sense. After all, a multi million dollar payday awaits win or lose. That's always worth a beatdown when you are young and can take it. I think Povetkin has a shot at beating him but not much of one, maybe a 20% chance.

I dont give him much of a shot at beating Klitschko. The Wladimir from several years ago he would stand a better chance but not today. Emanuel Steward has Klitschko spitting fire out there. I think Povetkin would beat Chagaev, Ibragimov, even Valuev. Hes that good.

For him to beat Wlad he will have to take a beating and still be standing after 4 rounds. If Wlad is gassed at that point he can win. Otherwise he will get badly ko'd. I also think he beats just about every other heavyweight.Edited by: white is right

Wlad only gasses when he's drugged.

Povetkin is one hell of a warrior. However, from the fights I have seen he is very susceptible to straight rights. Needless to say there in noone alive today (including Povetkin) that will be able to survive more than a couple straight flush rights from Wladimir Klitschko. I see this one ending early fella's. Wlad by KO inside 5.

Only if Sasha is willing to step aside. Even then the IBF could force another paper contender on Wlad. Wlad hasn't had a mandatory defense of his IBF belt since the "Rain Man".

So Sasha might duck this fight because "I didn't get enough money". He said he was eager to fight and apparently so is Wlad. I'm hoping Wlad takes care of his IBF mandatory or it is somehow cancelled so he can fight the Valuev fight winner or better yet Peter if Vitali cancels or loses.

If Wlad were to beat Peter he'd have "The Ring" belt and three of the four big belts. He'd have to be considered undisputed heavyweight champ then right?

I'm pretty sure if Povetkin falls through, everyone will want to see Haye/Klitschko. If neither of those two fights come off, I'm sure Wlad will be ridiculed even more than now, even if neither is his fault, he will be "ducking" his two main threats.

Povetkin is IBF #1. If he falls through, Dimitrenko is next in line, but I highly doubt he would take the fight yet. Really everyone the IBF has rated is either busy, just fought, or has one soon. The first availabe name is either Chambers or Golota.

If the Povetkin fight falls through lets hope Eddie Chambers or Golota isn't forced upon Klitschko. By the way doesn't Eddie Chambers have some papers to deliver...

It seems negotiations have progressed and resumed.

I think if Wlad were to fight one of the other 2 major belt holders after dealing with the IBF defense, no one will accuse him of ducking Haye. He can always fight Haye later.

What is this about Eddie Chamber having papers to deliver?
