Cristobal Huet went 11-2 as the Washington Capitals' goalie during the last month of the season. Acquired near the trading deadline, he also played well during the 7-game playoff series against Philadelphia.
Early this week Huet rejected the Caps' offer to return for three years to DC for $5M per year, electing instead to go to Chicago for a 4-year contract at a modestly higher pay rate. The sports media and the two teams' GMs say that Huet took the obvious road -- more money and more time. Local hockey fans know of a different reason.
In a number of "blogs" and word of mouth, it was well-known that Huet's wife, also of European birth, did not like living in the Washington DC area. The horrible traffic, crowded suburbs, and the prominence of thousands of violent Negroes in the downtown area near the hockey arena were unacceptable to Madame Huet. This contributed to the goalie's decision to go to Chicago.
The Huet family somehow thinks that Chicago will be better than DC. Indeed there are homestead options in the Chicago are that are superior to DC, especially this one: It is possible to drive one's personal car to the Blackhawks' stadium and practice facilities, then drive back to the suburbs (North or Northwest) without having any face-to-switchblade contact with local unWhite criminals. In DC, only the Metro subway is available for transport, as the Caps' stadium has no parking and is only accessible via the subway, whose stations are universally infested with Crips, Negroes, MS-13 thugs, and other denizens of diversity.
So the Huet's were smarter than I thought. And the press won't touch this story. Doesn't fit the agenda.
