I think it's far more important which team takes Nelson rather than how high he goes. I'd much rather see a team like the Bengals take him in the 3rd than a team like the Redskins go for him in the second.. .

The NFL wants another batch of "raw" Sumos. But if even a couple of them perform half decently they'll be annointed Pro Bowlers for life.

If Gruden doesn't go WR, his days are numbered. Barbers getting old, so he'll probably pick a corner.

Every single black lineman drafted so far except for one is the exact same size as Jake Long.

Hopefully Jake can lose all that fat. Sumos like him can't play.

Is it possible that ESPN is speeding up its highlights of the individual players after they are selected, particularly the running backs? It looks to me like the plays they're showing arespeeded up just a bit, maybe 10 percent or so.

No WRs taken in the 1st. Could this mean Jordy Nelson drops to the end of the 2nd to a team with a good passing offense? I sure hope so!

Smart move by Green Bay. Rodgers is in his 4th year, and we need a good back up, so I'm hoping Brohm will be there.

Edit: I can't remember when Rodgers broke his foot, and I just don't think he can finish an entire season, that's why I'd like to see Brohm as a back up.Edited by: Capt. Larsen

Go Pack Go!!!

Packers selected Kansas State WR Jordy Nelson (6'3", 217 lbs.).

The consensus All-American shattered school and Big Twelve Conference season-records in 2007, hauling in 122 passes for 1,606 yards (13.2 avg) and eleven touchdowns. He scored twice on five punt returns for 264 yards (52.8 avg) and registered a school record 140 points.Edited by: Capt. Larsen

Pros: Packers have been much white friendlier under McCarthy and this continues the trend.

Cons: Are deep already at WR with Jennings, Driver and Jones. McCarthy never gave Boerigter a chance and never lets his two white FBs touch the ball.

Hopefully Jordy will be groomed to replace Driver though he is a better deep threat and big play guy. He should be a lot better than Jones and will probably outshine Jennings as well if given full opportunity to develop in the NFL.
