The Panthers are on the clock, and for the first time I felt like there were too many prospects to fit into the 10 slots, so please feel free to add by voting other and listing the player in a post in this thread.

8. TOM ZBIKOWSKI, S, Notre Dame
Zbikowski has deceptive quickness, mostly because he keys and diagnoses plays so quickly. He likes contact and has some pop. I wonder how he will do in space when NFL offenses isolate him one-on-one with athletic tight ends. He does show up at the ball most of the time, and he has a knack for making a play. He plays faster than his estimated 4.58 speed, and he gets off a blocker with ease.

sadly enoug this made me laugh. i think genius pat kirwan wrote this. zbikowski is a freak athlete.

when i saw that an offensive lineman from boise state had a chance of being a high first rounder, i KNEW he was gonig to be black before even seeing a picture of him. i mean, they have white lineman all the time, those are just the talentless overachievers.right? but the minute a black lineman comes in OO BOY AN ATHLETIC FREAK! at least the whites have the excuse of being white for not getting recruited to the major college programs. whats the overrated clady's excuse? these things just sicken me.

Flacco had a great Senior Bowl Week of practices. Was the #1 rated QB by almost all of the scouts. I think the top half of round 1 is still probably a bit of a stretch, but in the past stellar Senior Bowl weeks have propelled guys to high slots (Kevin Williams comes to mind off the top of my head). If he has a good combine I could see him making a move to be the #3 QB (I'd say he is already 4 and closing fast on Woodson).

Yes, unfortunately the Walter Jones/Jonathan Ogden/Orlando Pace type Offensive Tackle seems to be preferred by NFL scouts and G.M.'s. When you look at this years draft class the top of the Offensive Tackle board is loaded with Ryan Clady, Gosder Cherilus, Chris Williams, Jeff Otah & others. Clearly the successfull O-Linemen continue to be the Whites that will be drafted a notch below these affletic specimens. Its always funny how guys trend down after the season ends and before the draft if they are White O-Linemen and they trend up if they are black. I look once again to the Vikings (who are the only NFL team I feel confident to speak of) where Bryant McKinnie has been given a pass for over half a decade at the Left Tackle spot despite poor-average play game after game. Any White High Draft pick with his results would have been forced to play RT or OG by this point, or possibly even let go. Instead McKinnie gets an extension.

This is from Tony Pauline on CNNSI (I believe he is affiliated with Scout.com as well), he lists Flacco as his #1 riser from the Senior Bowl. And for the record I do think that this pick would be a reach for Flacco at this point, but its definitely something that could happen.

"Joe Flacco, QB, Delaware: Scouts were almost unanimous in their praise of Flacco this week, most claiming he was the only first-round quarterback in attendance. He displayed all the physical skills necessary to lead a team at the next level and flashed brilliance on a number of occasions. Flacco's biggest problem all week were fumbled snaps, something that happened quite often and was the result of the shotgun offense he played in the past two years. NFL insiders feel if Flacco played for a big time program the past two seasons he would be a top 15 selection."Edited by: reclaimsocal

Flacco made a believer out of me watching him light up the Salukis. Now granted the Salukis are just a FCS team, but Flacco looked like a man among boys. I am really hoping that we go OL in the first round and then happen to have him fall to us in round 2. It would be nice to have QB like Brohm or Ryan, but or OL is so bad it has to be addressed.
