Are you guys aware that a movie about the life of Jim Braddock is coming out? Stars Russell Crowe.

``Cinderella Man'' (opening Friday), Russell Crowe gets worked over and worked out as Depression-era boxer Jim Braddock.

Crowe picked up a special keepsake to remember his role as Depression Era boxer JIM BRADDOCK in new movie CINDERELLA MAN - the receipt the US Government gave the boxer for paying back his unemployment "relief."

Proud Braddock insisted on returning the cash given to him while unemployed - and handed over a portion of his winnings to officials, who gratefully gave the boxer a receipt of his payback.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?
Braddock was an average fighter who was able to beat a lazy Baer.

I will see the movie but i hope they dont over dramatize the Baer fight. If you have seen the fight you know what i am talking about.

No, I'm not saying you're 'wrong' about Braddock. I'm saying you never
have anything good to say. Or did you not read the question?

The movie isn't about a fight. The movie is about a guy living in the
era of the Great Depression doing everything he can to put food on the
table. In this case, the hero of the drama happens to be a boxer.

I imagine you thought Hurricane and Ali were great movies though, since
they so obviously portrayed the lives of two black fighters so
accurately.

Hurricane stunk and Ali could have been better. The Ali movie had gross incosistencies. The Hurricane was a piece of sh*t movie .

If they are going to make a movie about a past fighter the movie should be made as acurratelly as possible. Thats why Raging Bull was the best boxing movie ever made even though the movie makes Lamotta seem like a monster puncher which he was'nt it captured his character well.

According to the new Cinderella man movie Baer was a sadist who liked killing men in the ring not true.

Braddocks life makes for a good story but let us seperate fact from fiction.

That's a fair observation about Baer pugnus, but that sort of thing always happens when Hollywood gets aholt of something.
