Big 800m run coming up in the women’s hep.
Annie Kunz is 2 points down. She is a nice looking athletic girl(5-11/157) with great genetics. Her Dad Terry was an NFL tailback with the 1976 Super Bowl winning Oakland Raiders. It says he was a backup to legend Mark Van Eeghan.

Not according to many articles including this one. Someone could have 1% black in them and in this country they would call him black. They celebrate blackness in America. Read this article and stop being arrogant or you will ge banned!

Cole Hocker wins the US Men’s 1500m. He has a chance at a medal.
Laird doesn’t make Olympic Team. The kid who did make it went high school to pro, something Boiling should have done.

Fred Kerley was in third with 5m to go and let up at the wire, dumb guy. Erington caught him lol Laird runs 20.15 guess he is not super man after all. Hocker wins the 1500m but I think he won’t get chosen even though he beat Centro the Olympic champ. Never seen mcgloughlins mom before but I suspected she was half white. Two races in a row where Engels let himself get boxed in essentially killing his chances, still got up for fourth.

51.90 :eek: - Sydney McLaughlan's 400 hurdles world record ... we (i.e Australia) only have one woman who can manage that without the hurdles. Will be great to see Femke Bol have to push it along to match the Americans. Will Bol still look smooth and unfazed? Great opportunity for her.

The men's 1500 showed one of the most determined kicks I've ever seen by collegiate Cole Hocker ... and poor guy doesn't even have the OG qualifier yet - he'll have to achieve it in the next week or so

and in the men's 200 the skinniest of 17 year olds blasts to an OG ticket with 19,84.
He's demolished Usain Bolt's under 18 and under 20 world times times.
Guliyev is still world number 3 under 20 year old of all time

so disappointed in the British mens sprints....such poor high school level results...

Bol is going to have to run sub 49.50 to even get a sniff at the medals, however she is an amazing sprinter and her technique is very similar to Allyson Felix's style of running.

right, her pb for 400m is 50.37 her pb for 400mh is 53.44, she could make 3rd in hurdles with a faster time and her 400m is possibly finals level. Given good conditions, no niggles and favourable lane draw with fast competitors she could quite possibly go much faster in both events. I truly hope so!!

We are all awaiting some more track meets and the Summer Olympic Games at the end of next month for the track competitors.

While that's gonna be great I'm also excited to see the World Under 20 Championships chich is only about a month and a half away. It's always good to see
the future stars of track and field on both the mens and womens events.

GB athletics team for Tokyo announced - Adam Gemili is the only competitor for the 200, but he AND Richard Kilty are listed in the men's 4 x 100 squad. Great news, i thought Kilty had retired - I guess this will be his last hurrah. He must be running OK


I see Kilty just ran a 200 in 20.88 (-1.7) 3 days ago, 6/7 weeks before the relays are due . So it seems he's practising for that 3rd leg bend run where he's so good. Let's hope he stays healthy for that time when he should be peaking nicely and possibly score another major championship medal.

The indoor 60 world championship in 2014 was the icing on his cake, but loads of major championship relay medals were his strong point. And his 10.01 in 2016 was oh so close to that sub 10 (a 10.05 in 2015). 2013-2016 were his peak years but he'll be turning 32 a month after the games and it only gets tougher

Denis Almaz ran a 10.30 today with very little comptetition. Not a great time but the guy has races so little this summer. Not sure as to why but maybe he has had nagging injuries.

Henrik Larsson was originally supposed to be racing in the 100 meters but must have pulled out as he wasn't on the start sheet.

Glad to hear about Gemeli and Kilty being on the team. Hopefully Kiltys son can enjoy watching his dad run on the Worlds Biggest Stage one last time.

Shunsuke Izumiya, just 21 yrs old, broke the recently established Japanese 110m hurdles national record, with a time of 13.06.
If he can replicate that time at the Olympics, he will be in the final.

Christopher O'Donnell of Ireland clocked a massive PB of 45.55 to take second place to Wade Van Niekerk in Luzern today. This is a great sign for ODonnell moving forward. We need more
talent in the 400 meters from our guys.

This is fantastic news. The guy from Texas (Lamont Marcel Jacobs) running for Italy is getting all of the press for breaking Tortu's 100 Meter National Record and for winning the Italian Nat'l Champ. which Tortu didn't compete in. I would love
nothing more than to see Tortu outshine him in Tokyo. I'm also hoping for a new p.b. It would be great to see both Filippo Tortu and Rohan Browning both go sub 10 legal and make the 100 meters finals. :)

faanntastic! after 25 years ......... we were sort of expecting it but never know when it'll happen.
That's 3 seasons running he's managed 46s.

Time for a 44.0/400 soon?

His PB of 44.87 for the 400 was set way back in 2017. He should be due to smash it.

How about Ajla Del Ponte today in the womens 100 meters races in the Diamond League in Olso. Despite the negative wind she finished in a seasons best time of 11.16! With a postive wind she easily goes sub 11.10 or more. Del Ponte has a wind legal p.b. of 11.07 from this season. She seems to be in very good shape and I'm hoping she can smash that barrier soon. Sad to see Hana Basic regressing but so many Aussie Sprinters struggle outside of the country with having to try to peak twice. It's very difficult but it can be done. She was still trying to get that Olympic Qualifying time.
