Pretty weak calls, too, imo. Colts are moving the ball well but you can't be within scoring distance three times and come up with only six points and still expect to win against the Patriots. All that work and then a drive later the Patriots are winning anyway.

Manning looks pissed on the sidelines, too.

Patriots D looks too timid, tentative, and evensomewhat slow at times. Stupid play call by Pats going for long Hail Mary type pass. Didn't need to risk that in that situation. Colts havethe extra emotional zip that home field advantage generates. KInd of boring game so far. As usual inhugely hyped games, the anticipation far exceeds the event.

Pats need to ride the horse that got them this far. Short/medium passes to WELKER!!!!

Welker was the difference, running back punts and making big catches!

Someone said the Patriots were penalyzed 10 times for a franchise record of 146 yds.On the other side of the ball the Colts had 4 penalties for 25 yds. Quite a disparity for a game of this magnitude.

Welker is quicker than a hiccup and elusive as a straight answer from a politician.

I thought the same thing, Bart. A couple of those interference calls on the Pats were reeeeaaal questionable, if you get my drift. Conveniently, the announcers said this particular officiating crew is 'known' for calling offensive pass interference more often than other crews.

I think Belichick should start filming the officiating crew and Polian to steal their signals. I wouldn't have cared too much, but I hadmoney where my mouth was and in danger of losing bragging rights to my in-laws and a reprobate brother who is a contrarian.

Good to see the Pats turn to Welker to be the difference maker. They even put him in to return kickoffs. Something they need to do more often. He could really do some damage on kick returns, more so than punt returns.

As I look around, it seems more and more likely that the teams that are QB'd by blacks will either not make the playoffs or if they do they'll be gone quickly. Interesting. Also, it's my opinion that teams like Jacksonville and Tennesee are at high points and won't be able to improve from this year. Next year will be down years for both of them.

Despite there being no clear-cut white player of the week as in weeks past...I did see two very good things happen yesterday.

#1: John Madden said something intelligent during the Eagles-Cowboys game when he said: "If this were the Patriots, they'd say they're running the score up." Madden was referring to the way Dallas was man-handling the Eagles and continued to throw downfield very late in the game. Perhaps Madden was saying that the black Cowboys are allowed to blow any team out, but the white Pats are ridiculed for making black teams look pathetic.

#2: Ultra-Buffoon "Ocho Cinco" (Chad Johnson) and his delinquent-loving coach Marvin Lewis were made to look foolish by the white Bills defense. Chad was god-awful, dropping many easy throws despite the ball being forced his way countless times. Eventually Chad was taken out on a stretcher. I don't really hate Chad Johnson as much as I do the actual criminals in the NFL (Ray Lewis, Leonard Little, Tank Johnson, Mike Vick, etc), but I do find him quite irritating because he never shows up when it counts.

BTW, I loved that move Welker made on his catch with about 2 mins left when he quickly hit the ground to keep the clock moving...very smart!

Incredible play. That play was everywhere in the news this morning. The toughness of the white athlete on display. There seems to be a abundance of talent and toughness at the White tight end position. Shockey, Witten and Heap are fun to watch.

this catch was NFL.com number 1 "can't miss play of the week"!

An ESPN desk jockeyreferred to Witten as a "hockey player" after showing the play, which I thought was an appropriate and complimentary analogy. White football players do play tough as nails just like hockey players. Wish I could say the same aboutblack NFL players, but too many of them play soft. The Caste System has made it easy for highly paid players to give less than all-out effort and get away with it. Even Chris Berman interjected a couple comments last night duringhighlights on"The Blitz"pointing outparticularly horrific non-tackling attempts by black DBs. Edited by: Don Wassall

Last year many of us including me were hoping Manning would get the monkey off his back and do well in the playoffs and Super Bowl. He and Dallas Clark did very well and made us happy. I would still choose Tom Brady over him based on Tom's uncanny ability to make plays at the end of big games dutring crunch time. Nobody does it better.

I don't know who the 2nd DB was on came in on Whitten but boy what the f*uck was that monkey humpin b.s.? I mean this DB actually kind of jumped on to Whitten and tore off his helmet. WTF ever happened to tackling players larger than you(which Whitten blantently was) lower than the waist. I guess it looks more dramatic to lunge at a player's head and grab the helmet off his head. Only in today's NFL...
