MM thanks for the video of Liz Clay running 12.72, that is a time which is knocking on the door of being a top 10 contender worldwide and shows potential to crack into the low 12.60's. Mucci is about as lean muscled/ripped as a female can get. I had a gf in the last 10 years that had similar physique which was amazing and has ruined it for me for plumpies. What place did Mucci come in?

Mucci was second 12.98, little Abbey Taddeo was 3rd in 13.06
....... leaving the model, dancer Michelle Jenneke to 4th - if this doesn't make her decide to get her ass into gear and not compromise her athletics nothing will. This is her only chance for the Olympics, regardless of what she wants to do after that.
But when Brianna Beahan hits form there'll be 5 Aussies capable of sub 13.

Never have we had such depth - great for helping field a relay team, even if they aren't 11.14 sprinters like Sally Pearson was. They are still tough and won't weaken over 100.
Mucci did recently break 11.50 though so, again, heptathlete strength seems a boon when you put aside the multi and concentrate on maybe two events.

so far early this season for 100 flat:
Beahan 11.45, Mucci 11.47, Taddeo 11.63, Clay 12.03 (how? after that 12.72 hurdles?), Jenneke no 100 time yet

Mucci is very talented not to mention a very beautiful lady. I love watching australian mens and womens track & field athletes.

I noticed Jack Hale ran a 10.34 a couple of days ago. Very sad as he seems to be regressing. Hope he just had a couple of off races and that he is still in good shape in this olympic year.

I'm very happy even with the Covid making all sports alot harder to stay competetive that so many european mens sprinters are shining regardless.
Look at the European Mens 60 Meters Leaders with most of our guys standing out! :)

Note ...kranz has to perform at the Europeans .....only then can he be considered real quality ......when non Germans are around him ....it should be interesting .....good to see obratzsov back .....and Jacobs and van Jool are very competitive .....for me the euros over 60 are wide open in the men’s .......whereas in the women’s it’s Poland vs England

i’ve had the pleasure of seeing Jewell run (and long jump) in person at the Arkansas high school Meet of Champs. he was simply in a league of his own there, despite coming from a small school. despite being far and away the fastest kid in the state, he ended up running track at a non-Division-One university. “weird,” huh? it’s good to see him continuing to run, although it looks like he pulled his hammy in the final (see video below). Jewell and Webb beat some big names to go 1-2 at this meet.

Wow, he gets going for such a lithe man. Hope that hamstring isnt too severe...

I agree. I have never seen either of these young sprinters until now. I'm very impressed. Not only is their athletecism elite but they don't panick under the spot lights. Excellent showing by both of them. Hope Jewell only has a minor injury.

Marybeth (Sant) Price ran in the women’s 60m (see video below), and she had a fine showing. she equaled her season best (7.28) in a race where she led for 55 meters before getting nipped at the line in a very close finish to ultimately take third. her start is explosive, but she struggled to open up to the higher gear in this particular race. good to see her still running and putting up nice performances against some of the world’s elite sprinters.

I wouldn't be too concerned yet. They are trying to step carefully regards qualifying for the Olympics. Many meets to go yet and another in the ACT (Canberra).
Australian Championships in Sydney (I'll be there) 12th April so 7 weeks to go yet

I will admit to enjoying Felix's running style and she is not a juiced up looking negro female sprinter BUT Price is so tiny and slender in comparison to the other three. She is still struggling to find her form of pre injury, 7.28 is slow in todays world. In many views of the race it looks like Price almost shutdown(panic?) with 5m to go. Just my observation.

yes, she's so small it's crazy.
I have lots of respect for Felix' ability and her attitude ... her minister dad taught her respect and humility early apparently ... that "gifts" aren't something to be proud and arrogant about but thankful for. I liked that.

Thanks for the videos Jimmy.

I don’t know if he has been mentioned. KC Lightfoot USA PV 6.00m. He is only 21. Actually about a dozen or so hours younger than Mondo Duplantis. The PV looks to be the best it’s ever been. Mondo has some future competition to push heights even higher.

Germany currently has 2 of the top 5 fastest sprinters over 60 meters in all of Europe! Kranz and Wagner but there is alot of other young sprinters I am keeping a close eye on. One in particular
is 22 year old Marvin Schulte. He is a tall lean sprinting machine over 60 & 100 meters. His 200 meter times are not that great as he lacks speed endurance & stamina at that distance. Regardless
this kid ran a personal best times in the 100 meters of 10.18 wind legal as a 20 year old in 2019 and he also ran a 10.12 with 2.1 wind so it was barely over the wind legal amount of 2.0! So Covid
killed everyones summer last year. Schulte reminds me a little of Lemaitre with his long strides although not as talented. He has run 6.64 indoors this year. I just have a feeling that this kid could
be special over 100 meters in the next few years. We will see if I'm right or not. German Sprinting is really run to watch with so many talented young sprinters! :)

yah I like Schulte as well, I have also had my eye on him the last few years as well. I think he has a legit shot at low 10's not sure if he can crack the 10 second barrier but he is hungry. As far as Hale's time goes from his last race I got to say he seems to be stuck....I see that over the past few years he has added a few pounds of body-weight and muscle and gotten slower. He is only 5'9ish I would say so he needs to be careful with the weight/muscle. I will say his sprinting style is exciting to watch and he always looks like he is going "warp 9"

Matthew Boling runs a indoor 200 time of 20.37 in the prelims of the SEC Champs. He also had a personal best in the long jump.

(Below is posted from the trackandfieldnews.com message board)

Abby Steiner 22.41 in her semi, just missing Gabby Thomas' collegiate record(22.38). Sure looks like there's a lot more there for the final(not to mention NCAA).

Steiner is absolutely the best sprint technician I have ever seen. Her head doesnt move a single centimeter when she's rolling.

That’s a great time for Matt.
20.37s is the 16th fastest time in the world over the past 20 years.

White American Kevin Little had a pb of 20.32s.
Little won a gold and three bronze in the 200m at World Indoors, gold in 1997.
Haralobos Papadias won gold in the 60m(6.50s) in 1997.
