Gonzaga looks very out of sorts in the first half. West Virginia’s two bruisers down low have really taken Drew Timme out of his game, and it’s impacted their entire offense.

Gonzaga freshman point guard Suggs’ ankle(?) injury hurt them, as well. still, as poorly as they’ve played, Gonzaga is only down 5 at the break ...

BYU won again. Glad to see that as we always root for them. Back to the Gonzaga Game.

D. Timme had 17 pts, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.
C. Kispert had 19 pts, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot.

Gonzaga stays undefeated and their two potential all americans led the way!

Timme and Kispert woke up in the second half, but give credit where it’s due: the Zags prevailed tonight due to balance, tenacity (the Zags kept attacking and fouled out WVU’s big bruisers which helped GU pull away late), and the contributions of Florida-transfer Nembhard and the Frenchman Ayayi. those two boys played VERY well.

also, WVU did what they do, which is physically maul opponents in hopes that A) they wear down the opposition, and B) the officials swallow the whistles enough to give them an advantage for their “physical”
style of play. this theory is much like what the Seattle Seahawks secondary did for several years in the NFL with pass interference; they gambled that they would get away with pass interference often enough (and get penalized infrequently enough) to give themselves a HUGE advantage ... and it worked. it usually does for Huggins’ teams, too. fortunately, tonight Gonzaga was good enough to win despite playing an ugly game.

BYU has 10 out of 12 of our guys. Four of our guys are starters and the best player in my honest opinion is Alex Barcello their leading scorer.

Barcello scored 20 pts in the win tonight while dishing out 5 assists and pulling down 3 rebounds. He is a transfer from the U of A Wildcats and as a
senior gives the Cougars some much needed leadership at the guard position. He is very athletic and he reminds me alot of Grayson Allen. Hoping that
if he has a big year the nba will take notice. I wish the University of Arizona would have treated him better as he wasted too much time there. So many of
out athletes in basketball and football just need a coach to believe in them. I hope Alex Barcello proves all the doubters wrong this year!

Luka Garza and the Iowa Hawkeyes are currently putting a knot on the heads of the Western Illinois Leathernecks. with over 5:00 left in the first half, Garza already has 25 points and 7 rebounds.

it says a lot, not only about the big man’s game, but also his teammates’ unselfishness to keep getting him the ball.

edited to add: Garza ended the half with 30 points; Western Illinois finished with 26. wow!

I’ve been watching this game while waiting for Air Force football.....

Garza is a beast......I’d love to see the Mavs grab him in the draft......

Thanks for the heads up. Just switched over. Marquette has blackened up.
that’s one way of saying it, icsept. Marquette doesn’t have a single White player in their rotation this season. that’s a far cry from just two years ago ...

Take a step back from the ledge Bucky, it will be alright.
That was bad though.

That was idiotic of the Badger kid taking that charge with one second left....
The other kid had no chance of getting a shot off......Just terrible.....
Then there wasn’t that tip in..
They won’t beat Iowa......

Wisconsin got in foul trouble early and never appeared to find their rhythm, outside of a short burst to start the second half. (black player) Ford really disrupts their balanced offense, because he dribbles too much and is a chucker (in my opinion). i thought they looked better without him on the floor, although he is obviously talented. addition by subtraction, in my view.

Marquette was very handsy, much like West Virginia, and it benefited them. they also attacked the rim more aggressively, and that paid off in the much higher number of free throw attempts they had than the Badgers.

Horrible way for Wisconsin to lose. Even as bad as they played they still should have pulled out the win.

Duke bounced back with a big win. Matthew Hurts scored 24 pts, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Texas Tech won big behind 20 pts, 5 assists and 2 rebounds.

So far, Mac McClung’s transfer to Texas Tech is looking great. Through 4 games, he’s averaged 18.5 points, shooting 53% from the field, 40% on 3’s, and 81% FTs. He’s the unquestioned leader of the 17th ranked Red Raiders. Obviously, he will need to go through the Big 12 gauntlet before he gets the appropriate national credit. He’s definitely fun to watch.

Damn I zoned out and missed Wisconsin vs Marquette?! That's how you know 2020 has thrown me off. Sports sort of pushed to the back burner.

Oklahoma is a good team to watch. They’re 2-0. Their two leading scorers are seniors Austin Reaves and Brady Manek. Freshman guard Trey Phipps is also significant in the rotation.

Virginia is a team to keep an eye on. they had key contributions from 3 White athletes in a blowout win.

Michigan State started 3 White athletes yesterday, including their two leading scorers.

Gonzaga takes on Kansas today in a matchup between expected juggernauts. Gonzaga, a longtime favorite of mine, is loaded for a run at a possible national championship. two White athletes should be key figures on that run with postseason award possibilities (Kispert and Timme), with two others coming off the bench with lots of talent but unknown expectations. will Zakharov and Arlauskas become mainstays or afterthoughts? only time will tell ...
Speaking of Michigan State, this is probably their most “White friendly” team in many, many years. The 5-0 #8 (and rising after their Duke win) are lead by redshirt junior Joey Hauser. In yesterday’s win, he had a career high 24 points and 10 rebounds. He’s a physical player with range as evidenced by him knocking down NBA range 3-pointers. Junior Thomas Kithier starts at another forward spot but doesn’t get too many minutes or too many shots. Junior PG Foster Loyer started the first few games but now comes off the bench. Either way, he’s a key rotation guy and a good shooter and distributor.

Watching the Big 10 with Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Michigan (Wagner and freshman sensation Hunter Dickenson), Purdue (Stefanovic, Edey and others) and Northwestern will be a treat this year. Even top 25 Rutgers has 3 White athletes in their rotation.

In about 30 minutes we have Iowa playing North Carolina on ESPN. This should be a good game and both teams are ranked in the top 25! I'm rooting for Iowa all the way. Hope some of you guys here get to watch it as I will be tuning in!

Alright just tuned in to see Iowa with a comfortable 13pt lead.

Heard one of the announcers talking up Tennessee. Lol, I swear one of the most overrated College Programs there is!

Not a bad double header. ESPN has Duke playing Illinois next. I really like watching Matthew Hurt on Duke. He is a very talented player inside or outside.

I'll be checking in on that as well. I've yet to see Hurt play!

Hawkeyes cruising to a victory! Wieskamp, Bohannon, Garza, and Frederick leading the way. Looks like all 4 will end up with 20+pts.
