So far the defensive news has been depressing. Here is some good news:

Browns edge Porter Gustin is in. Never a question of talent with Porter. Injuries have been the issue.

Posts regarding White players cut and not cut should go in the White Purge thread.

Wow, bucs keep Scotty Miller, Justin Watson, AND udfa John Hurst all on the active roster. Great news, rare to see 3 receivers on one team

However hurst is supposedly going to be put on IR for a short amount of time, a few weeks, before coming back to active roster

I thought at the strike of 4:00 all of our questions would be answered. Apparently that is not the case so we may have to sweat things out as news dribbles in.

The Dolphins just traded to picked up an overrated all purpose RB/KR Lynn Snowden from the Raiders who I think is a rookie from Kentucky. This might affect Patrick Laird?

If Laird gets lopped off what a dirty late minute move. But not sure what will happen here. I'll hold my fire for the time being.

They waived Salvon Ahmed and it looks like they're using this guy strictly as a KR so Laird may be safe. I'm more worried about Chandler Cox as Chan Gailey's offense may not elect to use a FB.

Rogers is getting what he asked for good and hard with this receiver crew, outside of Adams expect his WRs to not run the right route, drop it when they get it in their hands and or fumble the ball. On the other hand Bears fans will get great satisfaction from watching Rogers give his exasperated look on TV. I read the stats on Kumerow, saw the field the least of any wideout on the team last year, fewest targets and fewest catches of any of the WR or TE. But something must have impressed Rogers because on Thursday of this week he was still praising Jake. Been a Packers fan since 1972 when they made the playoffs behind a strong running game only to lose to the Redskins, but thanks to caste clowns doped up on Critical Race Theory and the big bucks paid for morons who don't rock the boat like Gutenkunst I can now safely say I watch football for the players not the team.

If Nall sees the field in any appreciable amount I will probably watch the Bears over the Packers, or I might even watch the Raiders, OMG WTF has happened? FTR I'm old enough to have watched a load of Steelers and Raiders games back in the 70s on NBC since our local CBS had to broadcast the usual 4-6 win Bears teams.

Also the Milwaukee paper in its draft cutdown article mentioned the measurables for Kumerow's replacement "4.4 40 36 inch vertical" and used "upside", what garbage

And for the Packers 2020 1st round pick he is third QB behind Tim Boyle. But think of the praise that idiot Gutekunst received for spending other people's money on a virtue signal. Imagine how unpolished ill prepared Love must be for him not to be 2nd string in this year.

Yes the practice squad lists are dribbling in. Here are some key names. Many of them are remaining with their teams. Will indicate different team when it applies.

Gehrig Dieter-Chiefs

Tommy Stevens -Saints

Cody Thompson-Seattle

Derek Tuszka-Broncos

Alex Bachman-Giants ( I don't like the idea there are three other WRs on the squad too but he might get called up at some point)

Jake Kumerow - Bills ( different team)

Joe Bachie -Saints

Nate Stanley-Vikings

Nathan Cottrell- Jags as predicted

Great moves for alot of these teams. I really like what Jacksonville is doing getting elite caliber athletes that have a chip on their shoulder.

Tampa Bay is smart too as Rosen can learn so much from Tom Brady and the coaching staff. If Rosen progresses there, he could be the starter in two more years. Plus with Bradys age he could get hurt.

I thought the Titans were going to keep Kinsey. I just want to say both Kinsey and John Hurst who Tom Brady calls "crazy legs" are from the Adam Thielen school of ignored small school talents albeit Hurst is on the Bucs roster so that may not apply. But neither was drafted.Wouldn't it be great if both of these talented players became starters within a couple of years?

One name still missing on the PS lists so far? Ryan Switzer. I hope the Steelers internet beat writers are proud of themselves. They did everything in their power to destroy him. So far at least it looks like they have succeeded.

I have had it up to here with these beat writers beating the living shite out of white players like it is some sort of sport. They think it is cute to play sniper all day when it comes to white skill players.

Looks like the Saints are turning Tommy Stevens into a TE?

More PS signings.

Clay Johnston - Panthers ( ironic to think he ends up with his college HC after all)

Trent Irwin-Bengals

Eli Wolf -Ravens

‘Ryan Switzer not expected to sign with steelers’

some speculation that he’s annoyed about not making the squad and is choosing not to stay with Pittsburgh.

Last years horrible NCAA WR and TE shortage I felt was more than offset by LB’s. Yet Weaver and Woodward ( concussions?) are no where to be found. Those were my top 2. Good to see all these surprises make the teams and Practice squads. Rosen can go jump in a lake of fire though.

Three DBs that should be on rosters or practice squads are Anthony Cioffi, Chris Johnson (remember him?) and Jake Gervase. As far as I can tell they all remain FAs with no teams interested.

I'm surprised Josh Rosen wasn't signed onto someone's 53 man roster. He must have looked really bad in training camp.

The Vikings claim Ryan Connelly.
There’s a reason why the Vikings are consistently a playoff team and the Giants have averaged 4 wins over the last 3 seasons.

Overall, the cuts weren’t too bad. The Giants were by far the worst team. They were close to being in our good graces. Then some injuries hit with Mayo and Sills. Then they foolishly cut Bachman and Connelly. They’ll be more palatable but definitely not a CF favorite this season.

6th Rd pickJake Lutton to backup Minshew nice.

Good spot for Connelly. Once he's healthy he can pick up where he left off.
