Maxx Crosby finishes his rookie season with 46 tackles, 16 TFL, 10 sacks, 4 FF, and 4 PD. Put him in DROY conversation. What a season by the best steal in the draft!

2019 has been a good year overall, the emergence of certain black quarterbacks and the accompanying incessant media hype not withstanding. A proper conclusion to this regular season would be the 49ers defeating the plantation tonight with a big game from George Kittle and sending the worst DWFs in America home for good this season (no more home games for this odious bunch).

I’m not too bummed about what happened to Patriots. The Chiefs have the best chance of defeating Baltimore anyway so let them get the bye. And as far as the AFC playoffs are concerned, I’m in the “anyone but Baltimore/Lamar Jackson” camp.

Not a bad season at all. While watching LSU throttle Oklahoma last night the thought crossed my mind that the way to beat the Ravens is to get up on them early and take them out of their comfort zone of being a run centric team playing strong defense. If they are forced to play from behind their play calling will change and expose flaws in the offensive system.

I have Maxx at 9 sacks for the season. Just fell short but a great year nonetheless. I saw Hunter Renfrow's late TD live on the Red Zone. Worth noting the Red Zone is shut down for the season and Hunter caught the last Red Zone TD. Renfrow finished with a 6-102-1 stat line which included at least two spectacular catches. The last two games he has been doing a Fred B. impression.

The two early games I watched were the Packers ( and Pats) who were sluggish but Aaron Rodgers as usual had a few tricks up his sleeve. If Seattle wins the Pack have the number one seed but it is tough to root for them. I agree with posts above. The Pack and their fancy named young black fast wide receivers are terrible. Never on the same page as Rodgers you should have seen the expression on Aaron's face after yet another flub up from Marquise Valdes whatever his name is. And yes Don TE Graham might be the slowest player in the entire league. Good grief. In this day and age you need a TE who can scoot.

I am truly shocked no one has mentioned this unless I missed it. Julian Edelman secured two catches in the final seconds which gave him 100 on the year. I thought all hope was lost but Brady tossed the final play of the game to Julian who started off the hot potato game. Tough loss for the Pats but hell I see them beating the Titans at home and does anyone here think the Chiefs are a slam dunk if they play them? I know this is not a vintage Pats team but I still can't discount them off hand. They are getting older and it is harder for them to get up every week but now it is big boy time.

The Cooper Kupp "problem" got turned around. I am not overly worried about him although I am concerned about Thielen.

I am warming up to the Miami head coach. He isn't a look at me flashy type ass wipe and he doesn't panic and yank Laird even though he has struggled to gain rushing yards. But he makes up for it in the passing game. And while TE Gesicki's numbers won't knock anyone out it seems unlike the previous regime he understands his talent and of course the hyper athletic TE sealed the win with the winning TD. And Andrew Van Ginkel kept flashing the entire game. Another terrific Wisconsin LB. Ho hum. Been missing most of the year.

I was a huge Sam Hubbard fan when he was at Ohio State so it is nice to hear he progressed this year with the Bengals and had a very fine season.

Lesson for teams who were hoping for things to turn out right today calling Cowboys and Raiders. Win a playoff birth the old fashioned way and earn it.The Cowboys coach I predict will get fired any minute. Nice man he will find another job.

Saints Taysom Hill mentioned above had a nifty 45 yard TD reception. No one will mistake him for Paul Hornung but he averaged 5.7 yards on the ground and caught 19 passes for 234 yards which I believe included six touchdowns. Not bad for this exciting "gimmick" player. I think we would all like to see him on the field more often. Also mentioned above their LB AJ Klein is having his best year ever.

Under the radar player no one mentions in the media? The Bills edge player Trent Murphy who had two sacks today.

Pats play Titans and Bills travel to Houston for the AFC playoff openers.

I speculated that Crosby could go as high as the first in the draft. I thought he would go at least by the second.

Nice to see I was more right about him than NFL talent evaluators. Some of the denizens of CF can evaluate talent better than the NFL teams can. Not necessarily saying I can but I think some guys here can.

Yep, Crosby, Nick Bosa, and Josh Allen all have extremely similar stat lines. Maxx Crosby was a top 10 talent just like those other two. All the scouts said he couldn’t stop the run but his 16 TFL is 6th in the NFL I believe.

Burlsworth Trophy winner Hunter Renfrow with a nice game over the century mark. That nifty lateral he made one a nice catch and run looked like a chest pass. I wonder if he played some point guard back in his high school days.

His first catch was at the start of the game and an announcer seemed puzzled that they would throw to him on first down. You throw to him on third down the announcer sniffed. I don't get that one.

Anyway a pleasure to watch another draft steal do well.

George Kittle needs only 10 more yards to break 1000. Ertz would’ve most likely gotten it as well today giving us 6 whites, if he hadn’t been hurt with a lacerated kidney.

Austin Hooper would of also eclipsed 1ooo yards if he did not get injured. The dominance of white TEs in pretty remarkable.

Kupp and Higbee both had big games. If the Rams gave those two guys that many looks in every game they'd probably be in the playoffs.

Great job by Wentz getting it done and adding one more White QB to the playoff list.

Kittle is now comfortably over 1000, easily abusing the plantation defenders along the way, both with his receiving and blocking.

With Kittle eclipsing 1,000 yards today, 2019 is officially the most successful receiving season for white pass-catchers in NFL history. Never before had five (5) different white players achieved this milestone. This is a truly great day for our cause!

As others mentioned, players such as Thielen, Ertz, Hooper, and Beasley might’ve also hit this milestone if not for injuries and game flow.

Regarding Kittle, I believe he could be every bit as great a TE as Rob Gronkowski. He has superstar ability with a flamboyant personality to match. The 49ers winning the Superbowl (with George leading the way) would be quite palatable.

Great way to cap off 2019 regular season! This coupled with CMac 1000/1000 season makes for a record breaking year!

Due to some weird stat keeping error Crosby had a strip sack in the game but it was not recorded as a sack. I think after the game was long over the mistake was corrected so yes indeed Maxx did hit 10 sacks for the season. A nice milestone for any player but especially sweet for a rookie.

Seattle's secret all these years are their strong second halves where teams start getting lazy and Wilson starts getting into gear. In order to beat these snakes you have to chop off the head and don't let them linger around.

That said I sense the 49ers should win but I have seen too many of these games to be at least a little nervous.

Wilson and the plantation making one of their patented 4th quarter runs that make me nutz. 2 minutes left with the ball down by 5. Bet they win.

Oh man... Is magic about to happen? 49ers should have put it away sooner.

Kittle had a nifty run, he moves well for a big dude.

57 Greenlaw made the tackle of the year for the 49ers. Wilson almost pulled his majic again. LOL

Wow, Russell Wilson heroics would’ve certainly ruined my week! So nice to have them lose this way on such a close play!

If it weren’t for that delay of game, Marshawn the thug would’ve run it in from the 1 and the whole place would’ve erupted. There’s a God after all.

Correct call but the play before the refs jilted honky Hollister when he clearly got mugged.

That said this performance by the 49ers does not exactly inspire overwhelming confidence.

At the end of the day does anyone here think there is a no brainer great team that is a clear favorite to win the Super Bowl? I can't find one? Anyone willing to stick their necks out and name a team or two?

Someone will of course win it all but with the Patriots on a bit of a downslope there are no top tier teams anymore in my mind. Every team has flaws especially on the defensive side which are heavily black with one or two whites sprinkled in but some teams in the playoffs field all black defenses.

helluva game, I'll be rooting for the incomparable Drew Brees to win a second Super Bowl. The Saints are the strongest team going into the playoffs, not that it means all that much, but Brees at age 40, almost 41, is still playing great.
