McDaniel, McGrew, Carney had absolutely terrible games. Groshek had a nearly invisible game. Not a WR or TE having a game to write home about either.

Then there is Plumlee who looked real good considering it was Alabama. Looks like a hell of a runner putting up 100 yards. And even then some true freshman afflete comes in on the last drive and completes back to back 30+ yard throws.

Quite a few guys had good games on defense and a lot of the friendlier teams are near the top of the rankings. But this is as bad a year as I can remember in college. Gonna need to have some of these talented freshman produce next year to avoid a complete purge of white skill players.

First glimpse of Ole Miss true freshman quarterback, John Rhys Plumlee, looks like a star in the making. Elite athlete.

John Rhys Plumlee looked incredible running the ball today against one of the best college defenses year after year. I hate Alabama but do admit that they are pretty good on both sides
of the ball. Especially on defense for the last decade or more. Despite this, John Rhys Plumlee ran for over 100 yards today. He looked like another Johnny Manziel. Let's hope Ole Miss
remains patient with him as he is only a true freshman. The kid is a stud and might just make a run for the heisman in the coming years. Watch this kid play. He runs a 4.39 in the 40 meters! You will thank me later!

We might have Jordan Taylor 2.0 in the making. Taylor played for Rice and now they have a new receiver (JR) Brad Rozner who is about the same size as him (6’5” 195lbs) and he has been impressive so far this season for a 0-4 team. They are mid-game right now but he has 5 catches for 64 yards, which puts him at 20-314 for the year. He has yet to score a TD but he could end up with 700+ yards this season if he stays healthy and continues to get targets.

Minnestoa QB Tanner Morgan set a new Big10 completion percentage record today going 21-22 for 396 yards and 4 TD’s against Purdue. Congrats Tanner!

Frost needs to reassess the QB position. Adrian Martinez is the most overrated players in the country.

Grant Gunnell will start for the U of A Wildcats tonight. K.Tate is hurt. This kid broke many Texas State Records in high school. Will be exciting to see what he can do! :)

I wouldn’t call it a good week for our WR’s but it was decent considering how disappoint the previous 4 weeks were. I hope the UCLA duo can do what they did last week.

North Texas slot receiver Michael Lawrence had his best game of the season so far going 9-120. TE Jason Pirtle went 4-88-3 in the season opened and either didn’t play or didn’t record a catch since then, he changed that today with a 6-57-1 stat line.

Purdue’s Jackson Anthrop caught 7 passes for 66 yards today. The guy he backs up is super hyped up Rondale Moore who only had 2 catches for 18 yards, not sure if Moore got injured or if Anthrop just played a lot.
** looks like Moore was injured, unfortunately Elijah Sindelaar was also injured on the same play. Both did not return to the game.

I have been hyping this guy for 4 weeks now but as a true freshman he WAS third string behind a sophomore and redshirt freshman but Idaho's Nick Romano ran for 15 carries for 137 yards and a td. I know Idaho is no longer D1 but they play 2 FCS schools this year and against Eastern Washington which produced Cooper Kupp. He is now first string and averaging 7.7 yards a carry. His high school video is limited but this kid is really elusive. He is not as powerful as McCaffrey but he has got the Laird, C-MAC, Shipley shake that seems to elude a lot of our runners. I wish Max Borghi would juke like he did in high school but he just cuts instead. Romano is good enough to be a late round draft pick in a few years though I don't know what his athletic stats are at the moment.

Sorry 22 I did not see him up there. I don't know if was in garbage time but SMU has another true freshman rb besides McDaniel. Tyler Lavine ( a Brian Leonard type ) had 6 carries for 12 yards and a td. He originally was supposed to go to Army but rescinded and is now with SMU which has 3 true white freshman rbs on scholarship. To bad McDaniel has been sent back down to earth. If the NFl weren't so biased RB's like Borghi, Romano and Ryan Graham would have a chance at playing on Sundays.

Thanks TwentyTwo and other posters for pointing out good games by white WRs because I was on the verge of giving up everything relating to sports. The WR situation is still grim but at least a few signs of life. It has mostly been big breakout games by black WRs and that spells doom for all of the white WRs when it comes to the draft.

Two trends which might become staples in the NFL and if it does I am retiring from my sports hobby.

The Alabama offense against the Ole Miss defense along with the Oklahoma offense against the Texas Tech defense. Wretched defensive play and especially by the black DBs the so called greatest athletes in the world. All black defenses getting shredded in every which way as mobile black QBs and black WRs put up gigantic numbers. I hate to say it and we are more than half way there but this could very well be the future look of the NFL and I want no part of it.

How fast is Idaho State WR Tanner Conner? My guess is very fast.

And WR Ryan Cragun of Penn had his second terrific game in a row with a 8-128-2 stat line. Just a sophomore I hope he follows in the footsteps of Justin Watson. Penn is 1-1 on the season.
