Yeah I am pulling for the virtually all white Rockies. But what do you wanna bet if they were to get to the World Series the stories would start poring in wondering where their black players were.

The Rockies have La Troy Hawkins a black middle reliever. He's the token black guy so they can't say anything.

The Rockies sweep the Phillies and have now won 17 of their last 18 games.

I do admire Ryan Howard's consistency however. After setting the single season strikeout record, Howard ended Game 1 when he struck out looking. Game 2 ended when Howard struck out looking. In Game 3, losing 2 to 1, backs to the wall, Howard watched an obvious strike go by looking and made the first out of the ninth inning.

Speaking of choke artists, how is A-Rod doing (again) in the playoffs?

Poor Lou Pinella is going to hear all winter long about pulling his ace pitcher who was coasting along only to have the reliever get whacked and take the loss. He yanked him after 85 pitches to save him for game four. Guess not.

Hey, I am a Phillies fan not necessarily a Howard fan. yes, he did choke in the playoffs and regular season. Yeah he had 47 HRs (I believe), but big deal. I hope the white studs stay in tack next year (Burrell, Utley, Rowand, and newcomer Dobbs). BTW, I like Jimmy Rollins too, but he too choked in the end just like the white boys and Howard.

Finally, the Phils were able to sweep the Mets (twice I believe) and the Braves, but the Rockies gave them heartburn all season. The Rockies were the team to beat this year...hands down.

Glad the yanks went down. Now I'll enjoy listening to all their smug fans crying all winter on the radio.

Yeah, the Rockies are going to be fun to root for, though I'm disappointed that the Phils did not win at least a game.

When the white sox won 2 years ago that was fun because there were so many whites on that team. The problem was that their manager was an official caste "Latino", so that received all the attention.

We won't have that problem with the Rockies.

The whiter teams won each of the divisional series (big surprise). Seems like a Boston-Colorado World Series would be the whitest.

I hope the White Sox try and get Rowand back. He was the heart and soul of the team.

Even though Cleveland is majority non-white I'd rather see them go to the World Series because the Red Sox have become America's corporate team. Their main promotions are Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, and Daisuke Matzusaka but Beckett's been clutch and their team fell apart without Varitek last year.

At least the Indians have a home grown team mostly even if non white. This will show that big money doesn't make a winner if they both make it, it takes heart and an organization philosophy starting in the minors like the Orioles did when they were a Baseball team in the 60's and 70's.

The fine White players on the Boston Red Sox team were a joy to watch,Dustin Pedroia,Kevin Youkilis, and J.D. Drew, performed as we all knew they could.

Sports Illustrated wrote:,"David Ortiz carried the A/L trophy to the mound and planted it as if establishing new territory, the crowd came to an immediate HUSH,as Ortiz spoke"...!

Daisuke Matsuzaka, and Hideki Okajima posed with a Japanese flag as GM Theo Epstein looked on!....nuff said!Edited by: LabMan

The Rockies get attacked, not for being too white but for being too Christian:

Just one more good reason to root for the Rockies. The sarcasm in this guy's column was unmistakeable.

Both sides started 6 whites tonight(they are using the DH this year). The Sox have a white pitcher while the Rockies have a Dominican. Depending on who is pitching each night, the two teams are 60-70% white.

Moreover, the non-whites are Asian or Hispanic (though 2 of the 3 Dominicans from the Sox are all or partly black). Nary an American black among 'em. Yet these guys are supposed to be the best athletes.

Well remember, MLB as a whole is 60% white. Your starters are normally
non whites while the pitching staff will be prodominatly white. So the
rockies are probable about 80% white and the Red Sox about 75%.

I suppose the fact that the author of the anti-Christian hit piece you referenced, Dave Zirin is a Jew is mere coincidence.:

http://rksbaseballbookshelf.wordpress.com/2007/10/02/author- profile-dave-zinn/

In the article on the site, I just gave you can find Mr. Zirin being quoted as saying:

"I grew up in a house that revered Sandy Koufax, and I heard the story of him ducking out of the World Series [in 1965] because of the High Holy Days, For me, being a proud Jew and big sports guy, these [concepts] were never seen as antithetical."

Huh? Koufax's refusal to start in outright rebellion against the wishes of the L.A. Dodgers was not antithetical to the desire and intent of his employer? His refusal caused the Dodgers to have to start their ace righty, Don Drysdale in lieu of their ace lefty. The result was an opening game loss in the 1965 WS. Koufax's dedication to his religion wasn't antithetical to Dodger baseball? Am I missing something here?

It seems Mr. Zirin is quite OK with Jews practicing their religion publicly, but when Christians do it, Mr. Zirin, according to the article you referenced seems to have a problem with it:

"But for those of us who believe that freedom of religion also should mean freedom from religion at the ballpark...Religion and sports: it's a marriage in desperate need of a divorce."

Has anyone seen a hit piece by Mr. Zirin against the practitioners of Judaism in baseball, e.g., Shawn Green, Hank Greenberg, Harry Eisenstadt, Morrie Arnovich, Phil Weintraub, Al Rosen, Jake Pitler, Gabe Kapler, Jesse Levis, Jose Bautista & Norm Miller?

Me either! I suppose the marriage of Judaism with ones favorite team is something to cheer to Mr. Zirin since he did say he is a proud Jew.

Am I the only one that smells a vendetta here?

No you are not; there are two kinds of people in this
world: those who admit the role Jews play in our
plight, and those who believe it but claim not to.
Everyone knows that the primary agitators behind the
various anit-white policies pursued by the Western
(and that means US) governments are Jews. By this I
mean that those individuals in the power structure,
who have the means to realize their ends through the
State, are very disproportionately Jewish, and
motivated largely through ethnic loyalty (although
there are also material, financial interests at play).
(I leave aside the tricky question of the extent to
which ordinary Jews, as rank-and-file citizens, who
share the ethnic chauvanism and neurosis of their
overclass brethren, contribute to the furthering of
Jewish interests.)

However, the fact that a website (this one) supposedly
devoted to contributing to the white race chooses to
downplay this fact, says more about them than us.
