Finland World’s Best Country

On yahoo news, it says a recent Readers Digest study shows that the best place to live in the world is Finland, followed by Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Austria. All the bottom nations were African.

I've never been to Finland, but it is one of the top places I've always wanted to visit. Their music is great too!

I just got back from a business trip to Sweden and the country and people are beautiful (tall blondes everywhere), but there is no way that I would want to live there.

The overall tax rate is about 80% of annual income. If you get a beer at a pub it is around $15, gas is about $8 a gallon, and a decent lunch will run your about $35. The median income is $40,000/yr, so there is not much disposable income for the average person.

Because of the socialized services and jobs available, people are pouring in from Eastern Europe. The immigrants will work for less than half of the money than the Swedes, driving down wages (sound familiar?). The extra burden on the social services has caused people that can afford it, to pay for their own medical care rather than be in the government system, yet they still have the high taxes. When an employer hires an employee, the employer must pay the government 30% of the employee's income out of pocket to pay for the government paid 5 weeks of vacation per year.

In addition to the tax burden, Sweden has political correctness everywhere. For example, one of my colleague's spouse works for the police dept and they aren't allowed to display the Swedish flag on their uniform.

It is socialism run amok.

So all the best nations were in Northern Europe and the bad cesspool nations were in Africa. I though all men were created equal? The article also said the dirtest cities were in Asia and the cleanest in Northern Europe!!Africa always seems at the bottom of anything worthwhile. Why don't the overhyped overpaid colored boys from America help there hungry brothers in Africa instead of buying German cars?
Are all men equal? Is a poor bum living in a shack equal with Ted Turner money wise? Is some dummy who can't read or write equal to a college professor with a Doctorate? Is some naked brown man in Kenya equal to a Swiss men who speaks 4 languages, has a lap top computer and drives an expensive German car?
In all of recorded history the negro has done nothing and now he even needs affrimative action in boxing because he can't beat the tough men from Eastern Europe. Hey Spike Lee the only way a black man can gain a world title is for his Russian opponent to get hurt and then give the negro the "championship belt.".

Yes, but is that Swiss man civilized simply because he speaks four languages, owns a lap top and drives an expensive German car?

This is probably off topic, but people from these Scandanavian
countries tend to be extremely attractive in a physical sense. Like
everyone over there is trying to sell you CK sunglasses or something.

The farther north you go the higher levels of hyper altruism you will see. I live in MN with Swedes and Scandis of all persuasions and it can be very painful.

You will notice on the caste identity boards there were very few if any pure Swedes or Scandinavians in general

I think I read somewhere that half of the communists in the US early in 20th were Jews and the other half useful idiots- made up ALMOST entirely of Finns and Swedes..Edited by: voice
