Getting ready to fill out my bracket. Trying to pick White friendly teams. Virginia and Wisconsin look to be two of my favorites. Duke has turned pretty black with the Zion mania, but White and Alec O’Connel are on the floor a good bit. Syracuse has a couple of exciting tall blonde kids on the floor. St. Mary’s could post a couple of upsets in the early rounds and become the Cinderella hope. Michigan has Ignas and John Teske. Marquette has the Hauser brothers, but that black ball hawg who was 1-15 the other night. What other teams do y’all like in the tournament?

Very White friendly Belmont has knocked out the all black Temple squad. I don’t know how far Belmont can go but they at least live to fight another day. Job well done!

Yes indeed Freethinker! Maryland better being their "A" Game vs. Belmont. Them white boys like being underestimated!

Some of the message boards are ridiculous ....but they are getting some blow back!

Watching ‘Sports Center’ and one announcer just flat out said Belmont would beat Maryland.........

I watched the entire game and Belmont won despite their best player Dylan Windler having an off game although he was double teamed and helped in other ways. (14 rebounds)

It was a see saw affair but Belmont had a late surge and pulled away. I will miss their next game which is Thursday afternoon against Maryland. Darn I wanted to watch it.

Grayson Murphy their PG is clever and has a lot of get up and go. Just a freshman.

Easily one of the most entertaining teams in the big dance and if they sharpen up and play at their best they will beat Maryland and perhaps beat even a few more teams. They are that good.

And good for their 64 year old coach who is finally getting his day in the sun. Nice program. They play a fun brand of basketball.

Hey guys,

Sorry I've been a bit late on the brackets. If anybody has time to write-up the other two regions, let me know. If not, I'll try to have them done tomorrow sometime.

East Region

#1 Duke:
Coach K continues his infatuation with hyped freshmen. This year's iteration with Zion Williamson may be the most over-hyped of them all, and is the perfect reason to NOT cheer for this team. The 6th and 7th guys, guard Alex O'Connell and forward Jack White, aren't enough to cheer for this team. O'Connell is a great shooter who can shine when given time, and White has had his minutes whittled down from 30+ per game to around 10 per game, in part due to his shooting cooling waaayyy off. Forward Joey Baker, who inexplicably had his redshirt burned for a total of 10 minutes this year, and senior Antonio Vrankovic round out the players who'll get time in the first round game.

#16 North Carolina Centra/North Dakota State: NCCU is all-black and not worth your time. North Dakota State has three white starters, and a bench player, but none of them are in the team's top scorers nor rebounders. Plus, the Bison aren't as good as they have been, and made the tournament due in part to South Dakota State choking. Playing for the right to be cannon fodder against Duke.

#8 VCU: I've not watched these guys, but they're despicable as usual. They've got a white starter in forward Sean Mobley, but he mostly just runs around and makes "hustle" plays in his 20 minutes per game, as he averages 4 points and 2 boards per game. Pass.

#9 UCF: Are all-black and the only reason they are known to anybody outside of hardcore basketball fans is because of their 7'5 center Tacko (that's not a typo) Fall. The only good news about this matchup is that whichever one of these abhorrent teams wins will be destroyed by Duke.

#5 Mississippi State: A generic all-black SEC team from the Deep South who'll likely be done by the second round? No thanks.

#12 Liberty: The nearly all-black Flames upset CF favorite Lipscomb to make the tourney. They've got one white starter, but forward Scottie James is the Flames' best player, leading the team in scoring and rebounding. Guard Keegan McDowell sneaks in at the tail end of their rotation. Pretty sad, but out of their quad of teams in the bracket, they're the most white-friendly.

#4 Virginia Tech: Sweaty Buzz Williams coaches this team. That's all you should need to know about how many white players see the floor for them. Hint: No white players see the floor for them.

#13 Saint Louis: Got hot at the right time and won their conference to get in. They're all black. Given how the conference tournaments turned out for us this year, it's not shocking. Another team to not pay attention to, and another one who'll be gone Friday.

#6 Maryland: All-black (I've been saying this a lot lately...). No reason to watch this team of mouth-watering upside except...

#11 Belmont: they're playing Belmont!! The Bruins are a CF favorite this year, with NBA prospect Dylan Windler leading the Bruins. They beat Temple in the play-in game, and will look to continue their exceptional play against the Terps. Windler is the Bruins' best player, leading them with 21 PPG, and 11 rebounds per game. Freshman Nick Muszynski is fairly healthy, and is key to Belmont's success. The 6'11 Muszynski is OVC freshman of the year, and his presence around the rim is crucial. Freshman Grayson Murphy is the team's starting PG, and is a good player in his own right. Big man Seth Adelsperger and guard Adam Kunkel come in off the bench. The Bruins are a great team to support, and will be a trendy upset pick to knock off Maryland.

#3 LSU: Black to normal with this write-up. Their head cuck (ahem, coach) has been suspended for cheating, so hopefully that means an early exit for this all-black abomination.

#14 Yale: The Ivy League rep is mostly black, with one white starter and one off the bench. Forward Blake Reynolds is a nice player for the Bulldogs who'll get some looks. Guard Eric Monroe will come in for some time off the bench. This is another potential upset pick.

#7 Louisville: Spot-up shooter Ryan McMahon comes off the bench for the Cardinals and is their only white player of note.

#10 Minnesota: Richard Pitino has continued the storied tradition at Minnesota of only recruiting in-state blacks to play for the squad and ignoring the many talented white players from in-state. This squad is no different. It futures some form of three white players coming off the bench near the back of the rotation for somewhere between 3-8 minutes per game in guard Brock Stull and forwards Michael Hurt (who was recruited, it seems to me at least, for the sole purpose of trying to lure his more talented brother to the squad) and Matz Stockman. Blah.

#2 Michigan State: The Spartans have a nice white contingent, starting with starting two guard Matt McQuaid, who had a career high 27 against Michigan in the Big 10 Championship game. Forward Kyle Ahrens was playing big minutes off the bench, but he'll be injured for the tournament. Freshmen PG Foster Loyer and big man Thomas Kithier have been playing a lot recently. Hopefully, this means Izzo will be using them more in the future, as they're good players.

#15 Bradley: 1 white stater in forward Luuk Van Bree, who's barely used, and spot up shooter Nate Kennell comes in off the bench. Done.

West Region

#1 Gonzaga
: The Zags have two white players who'll be seeing time in close games in forward Corey Kispert, who's a great all-around player who'll be seeing a bigger role next year, and Killian Tillie, coming off the bench due to missing most of the season due to injury. If Tillie can't go, Filip Petrusev, an impressive freshman, will see some time. The Zags have four white recruits out of six coming in next year, and likely a lot of their black players leaving, so they'll be more of a rooting interest next year.

#16 Farleigh Dickenson: An all-black squad who's time in the Dance will be over after this game. Next.

#8 Syracuse: The Orange feature two white players who'll play a bit in forward Marek Dolezaj, a long and lanky athlete, and freshman guard Buddy Boeheim (the coach's son) who has been starting the last couple of games due to injury. Boeheim is an excellent shooter and has been hot recently.

#9 Baylor: The watchability of Baylor from a CF perspective is dependent on the health of PG Makai Mason (who ironically knocked the Bears out of the tourney a few years ago). If Mason is healthy, he's the Bears' best player, if not, they're done. Guard Matthew Mayer hasn't been playing as much lately, but he's one to watch in the future.

#5 Marquette: The Golden Eagles would be a lot more enjoyable if ball-hog Howard (who's been cold recently) didn't take every shot under the sun. Marquette is far better when they get others involved, including their two white starters, the Hauser brothers. Sam, a small forward, is the team's best overall player, and can score at will when given shots. Sam is second on the team in scoring at 15 PPG, and first in rebounds with 7 per game. He's lethal all over the floor. Joey Hauser is more of a big man, but can step outside as well. These two are fun to watch. Lead guard Joseph Chartouny, a grad transfer from Fordham, has seen his playing time fluctuate, and can play anywhere from 4-20 minutes per game. Matt Heldt is barely used as a backup center.

#12 Murray State: Featuring the most overhyped player in the Dance besides "Zion" in rail-thin Ja Morant, the Racers don't even let white walk-ons sit on the bench to boost the team's GPA. The sooner this team loses, the better.

#4 Florida State: Racist Leonard Hamilton goes 11 deep, and not one of his players who regularly sees the floor is white. One of those "athletic" teams that often teams cannot shoot to save their lives.

#13 Vermont: The Catamounts were only of the most white friendly teams in the country, routinely starting at least three whites every season. That changes this year, with only white player guard Ernie Duncan, consistently starting throughout the year. In fact, the only whites who see consistent time are the Duncan brothers, with two of them coming off the bench. Forwards Ryan Davis and Bailey Patella may see action here or there. Sad fall for Vermont, but what else can you expect from the most communist state in the country?

#6 Buffalo: All-black, but they're loaded with seniors, and could make a run for those interested in a sleeper pick.

#11 Arizona State/St. John's: All-black vs. All-black. I'd rather watch paint dry than this "talent" play.

#3 Texas Tech: An interesting team, due to the fact 2/3 of the Red Raiders' starting backcourt is white. Combo guard Matt Mooney, a grad transfer from South Dakota, has played very well this year, and is the team's leader in steals. Combo guard Davide Moretti, a sophomore from Italy, is another starter who's been on fire from three lately. These two play over 30 minutes per game and are the second and third leading scorers on the team, so go Red Raiders.

#14 Northern Kentucky: Drew McDonald (Horizon League POTY) and Tyler Sharpe are the Norse's two white starters and top two leading scorers. Big center Chris Vogt gets in off the bench. This game should be fun to watch.

#7 Nevada: Eric Musselmann loves constructing all-black teams of transfers and misfits from other schools. They've got experience though, and could make a run.

#10 Florida: They're from the SEC, so they're all black. They've been wildly inconsistent this year and will likely be bowing out fairly soon. Moving on.

#2 Michigan: A CF favorite, the Wolverines start two great whitej players in stud freshman Iggy Brazdeikis and dominate big man John Teske. Brazdeikis leads Michigan in scoring at 15 PPG, and is loads of fun to watch. Teske has improved by leaps and bounds the last couple of years, and averages 9 and 7, as well as leading the team in blocks, with over 2 per game. He controls the paint. Big man Collin Castleton had his redshirt burned late in the season, but has found a role off the bench for about 5-10 minutes per game. A team to cheer for to cut, and one that's a threat to cut the nets down.

#15 Montana: I've not seen the Grizz play this year. It looks like they have one white starter, and 2 guys who play consistently off the bench. But all of their main players are black. Hopefully Michigan blows them out.

Belmont looking really good early! Windler has bounced back and has already hit down a couple of shots.

*On a different note. It will be interesting if Duke's poor Free Throw Shooting and 3Point Shooting will finally come back to haunt them. I doubt NDSU gives them any trouble in 1st rd, but you never know.

Negroes have an average IQ in the US of about 85. Some of these goons that masquerade as college students are likely even dumber.

In the Auburn vs New Mexico State game, the low IQ of the 2 coal black teams was on full display. Auburn had a comfy lead but in the last minute and a half but did every stupid thing possible to allow NMSU back into the game. With Auburn up 2 and seconds remaining, the NMSU guard beat the defense for a wide open layup. At the last second, he kicks it out to his teammate for a 3 pointer. The dopey Auburn negro, then fouls the shooter. The NMSU negro misses 2 of the 3 free throws and they lose. :crazylick:

Geez Maryland coming out strong in 2nd half..

Windler is up to 20! Belmont down 3 with 16 to go. 48-45 Terps.

@Freethinker they're called FREE throws for a reason. What a bum for NMSU. Would have rather had them knock out caste SEC squad in Auburn .

Great job on the write -up Jack, as always. I have hardly watched any college basketball at all this year and would be totally lost without this writeup. Too bad Belmont lost, but Michigan State pulled it out. Marquette is down 10 early in the second half and better unfu#k themselves.

I didn't see the game but Belmont lost 73-71 believe despite a gallant effort for Windler who poured in 35 and had 11 rebounds. Hope that helps put him on the NBA radar now since he has all but been ignored for the most part.

Damnation. I was looking forward to watching them Saturday. Must have been an exciting game. CRAP.

I have to admit I am not overly charged by this tournament this go around and with Belmont exiting my enthusiasm just went down another peg.

Michigan State held on in a tough one with Bradley which I was able to watch. That Matt McQuaid is unbelievable. He hit two three pointers at the most critical junctures. He is also one of the best if not the best one on one defender in the country. Like a blanket.

He might just sneak his way into the 2nd round of the draft. He has improved by leaps and bounds and is now really hitting his stride,

BTW ace A plus write ups by Jack Lambert I concur with above post.

It is so unbelievably difficult to watch the all-black CBS March Madness crew. I actually don't mind Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Clark Kellogg most of the time. They are actually pretty good at what they do. But just the principle of it, and the endless commercials featuring blacks in a nation that is 13% black, is nauseating.

Just came across this article written an hour ago! Worth a read. Jay Bilas compares him to a quicker Left Handed version of Gordon Hayward!!

Today was just my 2nd time seeing him play and came away thoroughly impressed.

I really don't like the 30 second shot clock in college basketball. The game is so rushed and frantic now, too much like the NBA. Having a long shot clock is one of the things that used to make the college game unique. Patience and strategy used to be important. Now not so much.

Wofford and Purdue both looked great tonight. It's too bad Belmont lost or we would have won all three tonight. I love watching the tournament since I was a kid. Win
or go home. So exciting.

Man, I had to go to bed or I would have watched Wofford and Purdue. Well now I get to see them on Saturday.

Good to see Michigan win also! But what is up with those feminazi pink shoes? Puke.

Not mentioned yet was Makai Mason’s performance against Syracuse. Mason lead the Baylor Bears with 22 points in their win. He also chipped in 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. He seems like a clutch player in the NCAA tournament and maybe can lead the Bears to an upset over Gonzaga with another huge game.

On the other side of the court, Syracuse could be a team to support next season. Slovak forward Marek Dolezaj will be a junior, guard Buddy Boeheim will be a sophomore and sharpshooter Joe Girard III will be joining. If the prodigious HS scorer Girard cracks the rotation, that would be 3 White athletes getting major minutes.

After a not-so-good start with Belmont losing, it was a fun night! Wofford is so much fun to watch; Fletcher Magee, have yourself a day!! It was great seeing him getting the all-time 3's record. When Seton Hall got a one point lead late in the second, it was amazing how Wofford blew them out something like 17-0 until a Pirate basket in the final seconds. This team is dangerous, and hopefully they give Kentucky a run.

It's a shame Belmont wasn't able to win off the back of a great performance by Dylan Windler.

Anyways, I see that nearly all of the games today will be on the right side of the bracket, so I will write-up these regions!

South Region

#1 Virginia:
One of the best teams in the country, Tony Bennett and the Cavaliers have three white starters, with one more getting good minutes off the bench. PG Ty Jerome and two guard Kyle Guy make up 2/3 of the best back-court in the country. These two are some much fun to watch, and both can take over a game. Jerome is a fantastic point guard who can create some great opportunities for his teammates, as well as create for himself. Guy can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor. Mammoth center Jack Salt provides toughness and rebounding down low for Virginia. Jay Huff has been getting more minutes off the bench for Virginia as of late. He's much more of an offensive threat than Salt, especially from deep. He's also more of a shot-blocking rim protector, being the longer and more athletic option. In short, the Cavs are my pick to cut down the nets this year and avenge their first round upset last year. Go Virginia!!

#16 Gardner-Webb: An all-black team who's going to get throttled today.

#8 Ole Miss: The "Rebels" have one white player, part-time starting center Dominik Olejniczak, who's time has decreased to 15 minutes per game. Watching him screen and rebound during his time in isn't enough for me. Pass.

#9 Oklahoma: The Sooners have a good white starter in home-grown forward Brady Manek. Manek has been very inconsistent with his performances this year, but is averaging 12 and 6. Manek has had some big games in the past, and he should only be getting better. Matt Freeman is the only other white player who consistently gets in, and he doesn't do much other than screen and play defense.

#5 Wisconsin: The Badgers have had a nice rebound year under Greg Gard, and are led by their senior All-American candidate, Ethan Happ. Happ is an absolutely terrific talent who leads his team in scoring (17.5), rebounding (10.1), assists (4.6), blocks (1.3), and steals (1.1). Happ is also comfortable dribbling, and is a menace around the basket. Combo guard Brad Davison starts in the back court, and also averages double figures. He plays great defense (second on the team in steals) is a very confident offensive player, a threat to score in every way. Nate Reuvers has developed nicely this year, and is an effective forward when he's in the game. Two guard Brevin Pritzl is instant offense off the bench, converting from beyond the arc at a 43% clip. The Badgers have all the tools needed for a nice NCAA run, and I'm hoping they'll be able to get past a surging Oregon squad today.

#12 Oregon: The Ducks are surging into the Big Dance, having won 8 in a row. The primary reason for this turnaround has been the play of their point guard, Payton Pritchard. Pritchard has been on a tear lately (against Washington in the Pac-12 championship, he had 20 points, 7 assists, and 6 boards), and will look to continue his play into March. Other than Pritchard, there's nobody else to root for on the Ducks.

#4 Kansas State: They are likely to be without their best player, Dean Wade, for their first few games. Wade is the Wildcats' only white player, and thus ends our interest in this putrid team.

#13 UC Irvine: The Anteaters tore through the Big West to get into the Dance. They've got 2 white starters, and a couple more who come off the bench. Stanford transfer Robert Cartwright is the team's PG, but may be going back to the bench with the return of their actual starting PG. Tommy Rutherford is the other white starter at forward. They've got one other white player in Collin Welp who comes off the bench. Welp is instant offense, as he's third on the team in scoring.

#6 Villanova: The defending national champs have been a bit under the radar, but they still managed to win the Big East this year. They've got one white starter in PG Collin Gillespie, and he's a good one. Two more whites come in off the bench at times in Albany grad transfer Joe Cremo, and freshman forward Cole Swider.

#11 St. Mary's: The Gaels have three white starters in PG Tommy Kuhse, a former walk-on who forced his way into the lineup, SG Tanner Krebs, who can hit some big shots, and C Jordan Hunter, who was big against Gonzaga. Estonian freshman Mathias Tass comes off the bench for the Gaels, the 6th man in their 7 man rotation. Tass is an intriguing prospect for the future.

#3 Purdue: The Boilermakers have three white starters, and have been surging as of late after a not good start to the year. Two guard Ryan Cline has greatly improved this year, and has had some nice games. He's got a quick shot, and is deadly off screens. Grady Eifert (the brother of NFL TE Tyler), a former walk-on has held down the PF spot, despite calls from DWFs for more affletic alternatives. He's a great role player, and can knock down the open shot. Matt Haarms, the Boilermakers' 7'3 shot-blocker in the middle, has responded well after being benched earlier in the year. He's been a different player since forcing his way back into the starting lineup. RS Freshman two-guard Sasha Stefanovic has been getting some good minutes off the bench; forward Evan Boudreaux, a grad transfer from Dartmouth, fell out of the rotation after being injured. This team would be great to root for, but ball-hog Carsen Edwards tempers expectations.

#14 Old Dominion: All-black and going home.

#7 Cincinnati: There's three certainties in life: Death, Taxes, and a Mick Cronin coached team playing exactly 0 white players in competitive games. That does not change. Cincy is likely the same as usual, very athletic, but severely lacking in basketball fundamentals.

#10 Iowa: Iowa has been on the downturn since February. The Hawkeyes start three whites, and will often have five on the court as once. Jordan Bohannon is a great PG who knocks down big shots for the Hawkeyes. Freshman wing Joe Wieskamp is a nice athlete who has a bright future for Iowa. He can knock down shots from anywhere. Luka Garza is a nice center who's got range, but who I'd like to see be more assertive at times. Connor McCaffrey has been a great alternative option off the bench for Iowa at PG, lifting some pressure off Bohannon's shoulders. Nicholas Baer has been awesome as the 6th man for the Hawkeyes again this year. He's a great athlete and energy guy who does a bit of everything. Ryan Kriener gets in as a reserve forward.

#2 Tennessee: The Vols have had a great season, but have no white starters, and only forward John Fulkerson off the bench.

#15 Colgate: The Raiders have four white starters, including leading scorer and rebounder Rapolas Ivanauskas, who averages 16 and 8. Will Rayman also averages double figures and is second on the team in rebounds. Freshman guard Tucker Richardson and senior center Dana Batt round out the Raiders' white starters. They've got a couple guys who come in off the bench. I'd love to see them upset Tennessee, but I don't think it's too realistic.

Midwest Region

#1 North Carolina:
The Tar Heels have had a great year, and Luke Maye, their only white starter, has continued has excellent play. Maye is averaging a double double (15 and 11), and can somehow keep in front of "more athletic" players on defense. Maye is a great story, especially since DWFs deemed him "not worthy" of a scholarship. Sophomore guard Andrew Platek will get a few minutes off the bench as a sharpshooter most games. The Tar Heels have been playing great, and are a danger to cut down the nets.

#16 Iona: Who cares? They suck.

#8 Utah State: The Aggies and first year coach Craig Smith have had an outstanding season!! Picked 9th, the Aggies won both the regular season and tournament championships in the MWC. Sam Merrill, leading the team with over 21 PPG, is a stud. He scores at an efficient clip, unlike certain ball hogs in the tournament. I love watching this guy, and look forward to doing so. Former walk-ons Quinn Taylor, a starting forward, and Abel Porter, the starting PG, are excellent roll players who know what to do. Porter righted the PG spot upon starting, and Taylor averages an efficient 8 and 6. Brock Miller can knock down the threes. Diogo Brito, of Portugal, is a great player, and often ends up with 30+ minutes per game, and is a good combo guard. Justin Bean is a forward who comes off the bench. The Aggies have been playing with confidence lately, and can definitely make a run... go Utah State!!

#9 Washington: Who cares? They're playing against a nearly all-white team! Hopefully they get blown out.

#5 Auburn: All black. Next.

#12 New Mexico State: Nearly all-black, except they love going international to find their precious diversity. In an upset, NMSU was the whiter team in this matchup, with forward Ivan Aurrecoechea coming off the bench. Still not sad to see they lost, though.

#4 Kansas: Nearly all-black with the exception of Mitch Lightfoot, who gets 10 minutes off the bench as the "energy guy."

#13 Northeastern: The Huskies have two white starters, including outstanding PG Vasa Pusica. He's an excellent player, and makes the Huskies go. Bolden Brace is the other white starter, and forward Tomas Murphy (the brother of Alex and Erik) comes off the bench.

#6 Iowa State: Michael Jacobson is a great forward for this team, and their only white player.

#11 Ohio State: The Buckeyes have two white players who see time off the bench, freshmen Justin Ahrens, who can fill it up from three, and Kyle Young, a great athlete at the four spot. They've been in freefall lately.

#3 Houston: All-black. Next.

#14 Georgia State: All-black, but crappier than the team above them. Next.

#7 Wofford: The Terriers tore through the SoCon undefeated, and are the hottest team in the country right now. They are led by Fletcher Magee, one of the best players in the country and the all-time leader in three-point buckets in Division 1 history. Magee, averaging 21 PPG, is mesmerizing with his unorthodox shot release, able to get his shot off from any angle. Nathan Hoover is a fellow back-court starter, and has some "swag" of his own. He can knock down shots from anywhere on the court. Hoover is third on the team with over 13 PPG. Storm Murphy is the third member of the Terriers' all-white starting backcourt, and is a great PG for this team to have, and is pretty good himself. Off the bench, guard Ryan Larson and forward Matt Pegrem see some time. Go Terriers!!

#10 Seton Hall: Nearly all-black like usual, with the exception of big man Sandro Mamukelashvili, who averages 8 and 8 on the year.

#2: Kentucky: In a surprising twist, the Wildcats best player may be one-and-done white two guard Tyler Herro. Herro is simply a stud. He's been filling it up lately, and is the best defender on the team. The rest of the team is all-black, but Herro at least makes them interest.

#15: Abiliene Christian: Don't care. They're mostly all black and suck.

Iowa played very poorly in the first half but are only down 5 at the half. Hopefully they find their groove and send Jungle Fever Mick and his street ball squad home early.
