I think Tomlin has made critical errors the past few seasons see Don's post above. His lack of trust in his albeit shaky defense has caused him to over compensate and take foolish risks that have back fired. And yes he isn't the greatest game manager out there that is for sure.

That said he is on the precipice and his once cozy job could be in jeopardy in the not too distant future after next season. Once a player's coach who let the "black brigade" dictate the locker room perhaps Tomlin is seeing the light in those terms. The recent moves to pick up an outstanding edge player in TJ Watt and to secure his return game with a heady player like Switzer who he even incorporated into the offense at least tells me he isn't going in the wrong direction.

Now an "older" coach and hopefully more mature and confident in himself, Tomlin ( I agree with Rocky and others) must get rid of baby Brown. PERIOD. JuJu could easily slip into the number one WR spot. Tomlin did display some maturity when it was mentioned that Brown's agent wanted to "negotiate" Brown back into the starting line up the last game of the season after the last ( of too many) incidents and Tomlin told him to bugger off.

They have not won a Super Bowl with Brown and even if they had this putrid ******* must be removed by all means necessary. Tomlin is getting too old to be one of the brothers and he needs to start putting his foot down. Enough is enough.

And here is a news flash. They will be fine without the cry baby. Perhaps finally win another Super Bowl.

Hilarious that Weenieworld can post stuff like this in a serious manner. Terrell Owens as your mentor? lolol What could possibly go wrong when your mentor is a child-like prima donna who was a locker room cancer everywhere he played and who refused to go to Canton after he was elected to the pro football hall of fame? No wonder Brown is such a screw-up. Owens is Exhibit A of how the ethics of the NFL and society in general have gone straight downhill since the agenda became pandering to black dysfunction at all costs. If Owens (or Brown) had played before say 1968, there would have been White teammates who would have beat the crap out of him if he tried to pull any of the antics he regularly did during his career.

Terrell Owens confirmed that Antonio Brown wants out of Pittsburgh. The former wide receiver has been a mentor to AB and claims the two spoke often throughout Brown's tumultuous 2018 campaign. "He wants to move on," said Owens, who cited Brown's deteriorating relationship with Ben Roethlisberger as a source of tension. "I think Ben owes him a lot more respect than he has given him." Owens, who wore out his welcome at almost every stop in his NFL career, is an odd person to ask for advice, though apparently he's become a trusted resource for Brown. T.O. also noted that A.B. has inquired about San Francisco, where Owens spent the first eight seasons of his career, on "several occasions." Brown's ongoing saga will be one of the most compelling storylines of the offseason.

Would be nice to see AB and Bell gone in Pittsburgh next season. Steelers draft David Sills and keep bringing along Switzer in the Slot. Big Ben deserves better at the end of his career.

On defense Watt is a Star and Chickillo IMO would be a solid starter when given the chance. They also signed DT/DE Conor Sheehy to a futures contract. After Pit starting 3 DL depth is weak. Be nice to see another white DE crack the rotation.(miss the days of Keisel and Smith!) Matakevich racial apprenticeship going on what year 4?!

There is no 2020 Steeler thread, so I’ll throw this here....
Robert Spillane has crushed taking over for DBush....
He’s had a few splash plays (stoning DHenry at the goal line, Pick 6, etc)
Just plain steady work...
He was beaten on a few coverage routes, most notably a big gain last week while covering a slot guy.....Safeties do the same.....Now that Pittsburgh got that linebacker from NYJ, I’m curious to see if he’s for depth, or to spell Spillane during passing downs????

Don.....If you read this, what are you hearing?
I listen to 93.7 from Florida once in awhile....
The DWF gang, of course, think the new guy is an upgrade.......

The consensus among the Pittsburgh media is that Williamson will start off as Spillane's backup but will become the starter as soon as he's up to speed on the playbook. As Mark Madden wrote, Spillane "has no pedigree."

Nationally, almost all the media reports instantly crowned Williamson the starter. Spillane has to keep having huge games to keep his starting position. A bad game or a couple less than perfect angles on tackling attempts and the howls for Williamson will become deafening from the media and the mindless DWF clapping seals. Given the way Matakevich and Chickillo were treated the handwriting is on the wall.

Wasn't Spillane's grandfather a Heisman award winner for Notre Dame? Didn't he play for the Steelers? Could of sworn I heard that mentioned during the broadcast. I guess that's not pedigree though.

Don if you have the link to that article by Mark Madden I'd love to get it and see if I can call him out.

Here's the article: https://triblive.com/sports/mark-madden-steelers-need-to-make-a-trade-to-keep-up-with-ravens/

Pertinent paragraph:

Spillane is just some plug from the MAC. He is a special-teams guy. He did OK while flushed with adrenaline during last Sunday’s rout of Cleveland. But he is not good enough to start. His shortcomings are great, and they are many: too light, too slow, no pedigree, etc. Spillane may do OK against Tennessee because he’s not afraid to be physical. Or Derrick Henry might make him roadkill by about 1:30 p.m. The Steelers need a better player than Spillane. They need a proper starting inside linebacker. Spillane isn’t.

What's Madden's story? Not a Pittsburgh native so I know nothing about him. Is he just the typical local sportswriter caught up in the caste mindset?

I've posted about Madden on CF on occasion. He's a mix of good and bad; pretends to be a SJW on race, but at the same time he'll rip black Steelers like LeVeon Bell, Antonio Brown and James Harrison a new one, even current Steelers like JuJu and James Conner. He also makes derogatory comments about White athleticism. He loves hockey and hates basketball and dislikes many things about the NFL, so he's far from all bad. He had a national announcing gig for a while on a televised wrestling show and comes from that background -- alpha, tough guy personality though he's morbidly obese. He loves strippers and takes regular trips to Vegas to indulge (pre-"pandemic" of course). He treats most of his callers like dirt and used to call some of them on to the radio station to fight him; he even used to call on some Steelers. He's a talented writer and I suspect he's more hip to how things work racially than he lets on in order to protect his salary.

I read Madden's twitter and argument. It's a typical hatchet job on a white player.

He credits Madden's success in his first game to adrenaline, not football skill. Ridiculous. He says Spillane has no pedigree to attack what Spillane definitely has - a pedigree. He advocates defensive backs replacing him. Ludicrous. They'd get run over.

He ridicules the time honored philosophy of "next man up" as a cliche, because it benefits a white player in this case. Nowhere in the article does he give any credit to the job Spillane did in the game. Nowhere.

He "knows" Spillane can't cover from one game and the fact that he ran a 4.77 40. 4.77 isn't a bad time for a middle linebacker.

He talks about Lamar Jackson running a "4,34." Where? When? As far as I know Jackson didn't run the 40 at the combine or at his pro day.

Madden's article is just anti-white hackwork.

When Blacks test slow it's no biggie, they have game speed, another elusive quality for White Players I guess.

It's time to let the 2018 Steelers thread rest and start a Pittsburgh Steelers General Thread. ;)
