Everson Griffen is back with the Vikings after dealing with “mental health issues”. I’m no fan of Chad Kelly, who has some real issues. But, Everson Griffin allegedly threatened to shoot people at a hotel and tried to break into a teammates home. He will probably be lauded as a hero for dealing with mental health problems. Chad Kelly will be a pariah.

No doubt about it. You can add Zay "Baff Salts" Jones to that list as well. Here in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area, there have been numerous articles written in praise of Jones overcoming his "mental health issues" after that outrageous escapade he engaged in last offseason. The articles have been even more numerous in bashing Chad Kelly(as well as the chatter on sportstalk radio) and not just relating to this latest unfortunate incident, but stretching back almost 5 years !!!

I have defended Chad Kelly in the past, but there is no doubt that he is a drunken idiot who probably would've been starting for the Broncos sometime in the next few weeks had he not blown it. That being said, outside of 2 episodes of alcohol-fueled stupidity, most of the venom directed his way has been unwarranted. Kiko Alonso had a similar incident of drunken foolhardiness to Chad's latest while at Oregon and was branded a burglar and out of control thug by some in the sports media. In the meantime, scumbags like Crab Legs Winston and Scam Newton are "just kids who lacked maturity". Behold, the stark reality of how the Caste System operates.

I agree Tom Iron. If you look at number of ACL injuries, even in the 80s to now. Huge increase. The numbers don't lie. Few years ago SI had an article discussing the matter.

agree +1 . In soccer, the number did increase too, people nowadays chasing "explosiveness" too hard, they thought that is everything.
Black kids steadily "occupy" youth teams of soccer clubs, we are no stranger to the reason why, but in real top levels soccer you don't
see that much percentage of them.

In spite of his issues the Bills should pick up Kelly. Allen needs to sit awhile before starting and Kelly could be a good stopgap.

Clueless Hue (finally) sacked after amassing a 3-36-1 record
I knew something was up when when Hue was pondering out loud about taking over the play calling duties from Haley. Why did the organization bother to bring him back, if his leash was going to be this short, but this is the Browns, so....

PS. Call this a 2 for 1 bake sale as Todd Haley was given a pink slip too. He only lasted less than half a season as Hue's number 1........http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9301/todd-haley

He should have been fired after going 0-16 last season. Only his black privilege saved him. He's one of the worst head coaches in NFL history.

Will the Browns hire another AA head coach? The owner, Jimmy Haslam, has already hired in the past two incompetent AA GMs in Sashi Brown and Ray Farmer as well as Jackson, an incompetent AA head coach. My guess is that Haslam will push for another AA head coach, whether he's qualified or not.

Montgomery ran out a kickoff after being told to take a knee. He fumbled and the Packers lost.

The way it looks to me the Packers need to cut him immediately.
Yep, if he were white, he would not even be let on the plane back to Wisconsin. Before his bonehead fumble, he threw a fit on the sideline because he was pulled from the game on the previous offensive series.

Josh Gordon already showing his true colors. This is his 5th or 6th chance in the NFL now.

Josh Gordon was reportedly tardy at least twice this past week leading up to Monday night's game in Buffalo.

The Athletic's Jeff Howe earlier reported Gordon was late for the Patriots' Sunday trip to Buffalo, and Kevin Duffy of the Boston Herald reported Gordon "showed up late to a meeting last week." Things suddenly seem to be trending in a bad direction for Gordon. These reports come one week after Tom Brady effusively praised Gordon for his football IQ and mastery of the playbook.

Also the Patriots are rumored to be interested in Demaryius Thomas and Golden Tate. A real fall from grace for the once model franchise.

What are the rules nowadays? Can teams fine players for being late?

Packers trade Montgomery to BAL after his meltdown! Perhaps opening up a spot to activate Kumerow? Slim chance but that would be awesome!

Pack not done trade away HaHa good riddance.

Our fine in HS was a verbal lashing coupled along with a possible benching at least for a quarter. My HS Coach was a better Disciplinarian than Teacher. But always ingrained in us to be early for your job!

Now Fowler(BUST) traded to Rams. Guaranteed Longacre to the bench now.

I haven't paid much attention to this, you mean they aren't howling for Kraepernick??
No Buffalo has a large community of veterans and any time his name is brought up, many call on mass to the local all sports station and howl against the signing. A signing of him could be a pr disaster.

The Jaguars sign Landry Jones to back up Blake Bortles. Smart move. Jones was pretty impressive in Pittsburgh in limited play behind Big Ben. He may or may not be a capable starting QB should Jax decide to move on from Bortles at some point, but he deserves a shot if they do.

I'm locked out of the Milwaukee Journal site for the month, so I'm not sure of the skuttlebutt about Montgomery being sent down the road. IMO he had a load of black privilege, he has a fit on the sideline, instructed to take a knee, ignores that and somehow just fumbles the ball away, but I suppose management played it cool and sent him down the road for seventh round pick.
