I would prefer that Clueless Hue does not get a win. Hopefully they lose by like 1.

It looks as if Baker Mayfield is doing well against a decent Jets defense.

There are plenty of wideouts that should be on rosters right now.....
This game is terrible.....Jake Weineke may be a half step slower than some of these jokers, but dude has ball skills.....

Baker Mayfield was only put in because Taylor was injured. Clueless Hue had the decision made for him.

Now Mayfield's played very well and brought the Browns close to victory.

Looks like a sumo got a penalty on 3rd and 5 making it 3rd in 10 in a must score drive.

Looks like Hue won! Now his job is safe for another 3 seasons at least.

Mayfield putting on a show after Taylor left with a concussion. Browns fans on Twitter thinking the same thing I am...how in the world did Hue not see this during the Summer and in the pre-season? In this particular case I don't think he was clueless, he just wanted to start a black QB over a much better White one. It's obvious.

Taylor 4/14 for 19 yards

Jets are pretty damned awful at the skill positions too. Darnold will take his lumps this season. Mayfield looks solid, looks like Idler Arm is done as a starter but nothing surprises me anymore.

So the Browns win. I wish they had lost because of Hue Jackson being an AA head coach but I'm glad Mayfield had such an excellent game, bringing the Browns back to win.

Yes he looked like a ten year veteran. You have to temper that with this was the Sharks(West Side story reference). If the Browns make a run under Mayfield, Jackson may get an extension.....

Mayfield has the "it" factor. He knows what it takes to win in the black NFL and will. Darnold is going to succeed hopefully, but is being babied way too much. Too much dinking and dunking. Even Derek Carr has been turned into a dink and dunker so far. Dink and dunk = a cure for insomnia.

Baker Mayfield played his way into a starting position today, and Thyroid Taylor played his way out of it.

Also Joe Schobert with the critical interception. DWFs call him "boring" because he's "just" a tackling machine, but he makes big plays too.

Yes the Browns DWFs think Pro Bowler Joe Schobert is mediocre. They talk about him being replaced by - you'll never believe this (sarcasm) - various black players.

The idea that white people are "boring" is promoted by anti-whites as a planned strategy. It's designed to demean white people.

Baker saved Clueless' job tonight. Baker has as Don stated the "it" factor. Solid skills and ability and uber swagger. If Hue wants to remain in the NFL, Baker stays as the starting QB.

Fine performance by Mayfield. Very accurate not to mention his affletes were credited with 3 drops.

Schobert off to a great start. 25tkls, a fumble recovery and 2ints through 3 games. So boring, if only he had a room brightening smile.

Props to Troy Aikman, who was quite complementary of Schobert's athleticism. Troy's the good soldier and earns his paycheck, but gotta believe he would rather have been in a honky tonk joint somewhere rather than watching that borefest. If it wasn't for Mayfield and Darnold that would have been among the most unwatchable NFL games ever.

It won’t be long before tynog tells a reporter he believes racism was behind him losing another starting job.

As mentioned above Troy Aikman is a true pro and along with Joe Buck they offer a professional broadcast. On the other hand the new ESPN Monday night crew is pretty bad. I can't imagine someone who doesn't like Jason Witten as a person but he just doesn't have the pro chops and speaking tenor for such a prime time slot. Joe Tessitore as Truth mentioned above is too shrill and better suited for late night Utah State vs. Arizona State. But at least he has some pro chops. Then they have this "Booger" character reporting from a bunker and essentially interjecting enough to be the "third" man in the booth. All he does it just pile on the obvious and makes things even worse.

ESPN went on the cheap and it shows.

But back to last night I have to admit for me the biggest reason to tune in was to watch LB Joe Schobert and he did not disappoint. He has the two most important interceptions this season so far. His pick against Pitt should have sealed the game and last night he closed the curtain on the hapless Jets. Schobert is rangy and active. I place him just a notch below Kuechly and Lee because he doesn't quite have their read and react smarts but he is young so look for improvement in that area.

The lack of white defensive players is bewildering and I find it very difficult to watch football games where there are no white defensive players. Even before I started rooting for white players where I was a big fan of black RBs and WRs I always had an infinity towards terrific white defenders. Go figure.

This was a very good game for us. Not only was it highlighted by Joe Schobert making the game winning interception, but the debut of Baker Mayfield could not have gone any better than it did. I'm hoping the Mayfield hype train speeds up and slows the Mahomes hype train down. On another positive note, this should be the last we see of Idler Arm Taylor as a starter in the NFL.

DE Henry Anderson saw more action with the Jets this week than he did in his first two games. Hopefully he can keep getting more snaps. (Anderson is the player who was accused by some Caste clown of having "tight hips and boring feet.")

Absolutely agree Tannehill17, fantastic day, I thought Mayfield would be brilliant and it looks like he might well be. You need that ego and self confidence which he oozes to succeed in a pressure situation like the browns. Think he will be a big fan favourite. His shirts are flying off shelves when I googled Mayfield earlier.

The Pats are truly a head scratching organization and one that becomes increasingly hard to support.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots nearly completed a deal to send Rob Gronkowski to the Lions back in April.

The Patriots and Lions were deep into trade talks leading up to the draft. Despite the presence of GM Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia, both Patriots alums, Gronkowski had no interest in joining the Lions and even threatened to retire if the Patriots traded him. Gronkowski was contacted repeatedly by the Lions while trade talks were going on, but wouldn't answer their calls. This prompted a sit-down meeting with Bill Belichick, which eventually led to a reconciliation between Gronk and the Patriots. Already on a Hall of Fame trajectory, the 29-year-old's 77 receiving touchdowns rank third all-time among tight ends.
