This is off the subject, but Nolan Cromwell was one of my favorite pro players when he played for the Rams. I think he played at Kansas, great athlete.

In some decent news Ourlads has Jeremy Fejeledem a soph. cb for Air Force is listed as a starter going into fall camp. He is obviously the brother of Casey the starting safety for the Bungals.

Ourlads also has the starting rb as Nolan Eriksen a sophomore for Air Force. He is the younger brother of senior rb , Ian Eriksen from Eastern Michigan. 2 very athletic families here.

Nolan had some nice carries last year backing up Tim McVey......
If Ian makes it to any scouts’ 2019 draft analysis websites, it will surely say he’s a “lunch pail” guy.....That is Ian to a tee......Works hard, average speed, etc......
I wat he’d a lot of EMU and Air Force the last couple years.......
Air Force has a couple tough fullbacks to contend with, as well......

2 must see teams for running back lovers......

I’ll make a list of running backs to watch this season sometime this summer for all the new guys.......McVey was the only senior last year. This year should be better than last year.....Who will be the new Patrick Laird and surprise us?......Josh Hokit of Fresno???....A lot of us were in agreement about Nall coming out early. I’ve changed my mind. I’d much rather see him shoot for 1000 yards in the PAC 12 than warm a bench in the NFL. Did he really think the new coach would not start him over some one with a fraction of the talent???.....Wouldn’t surprise us....

Was about to say possibly BYU ex-QB Austin Krafentzis who played Tailback toward the end of last season (5.5 avg per carry) had 98 yards rushing vs. Hawaii...but was he moved to Defensive Back.

If & when the opportunity is given..someone will emerge...like Laird it maybe because of injuries.

Joe Burrow Transfers to LSU
Burrow has an impressive skill set....good for a couple of extra victories. Plenty of Buckeye fans thought he was better than Haskins; shown in the Spring game.

Joe Burrow Transfers to LSU

I was hoping Brennan would be the starter as he was the best QB by a longshot on the roster. The two black quarterbacks on LSU are a joke. Hopefully Burrow comes in and takes the starting job for the next two seasons. I hate to see Brennan pushed aside - hopefully he transfers.

Burrow got the caste treatment at the QB position at OSU. He lost his spot due to injury and as TwentyTwo mentioned - Burrow showed he was better than the OSU black quarterback. Hopefully Martell takes the job from Haskins at some point.

In a move that defines the caste system perfectly. Arizona St. RB Nick Ralston is switching positions to LB. This after Arizona St. just saw it's two RBs at the top of the depth chart leave for the NFL.

Arizona State redshirt junior RB Nick Ralston transitioned to linebacker in the spring.

Ralston (6'0/221) rushed for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 2016, but saw just four carries during the most recent campaign. He wasn't realistically going to be an integral part of the offensive attack this year, making his shift to linebacker a logical one. Look for Eno Benjamin to handle the bulk of the work out of the backfield down in the desert as the team looks to transition from the outgoing Kalen Ballage and Demario Richard.

Unsurprisingly, 5-star QB Hunter Johnson is transferring from Clemson. Northwestern and Purdue the mostly likely transfer prospects.

The best thing he could have done. He was only going to get some clean up reps with Dabo.

He should of never committed to Clemson. I wish he chose Notre Dame. He squandered his freshman season - at least he will have three years of eligibility. Let's hope he makes the right choice.

Just a few things from Athlon ( which was my favorite time of the year when the college football preview came out before the internet ) has redshirt freshman ( whom someone said started in Nebraska's spring game ) Ethan Cox, is listed on the 2 deep at corner. True freshman Matt Martinez for Charlotte is looking for early playing time at corner. Justus Price (mentioned here many times ) is listed as the starting corner/nickel back for Texas Tech. Twins Hunter and Tyler Hayek are 1 and 2 on the 2 deep at wr for Rutgers. Johnny Durham might be an all star candidate at corner for Kansas State as he is going to be tested all year because of the color of his skin. Athlon has him starting but Street and Smith has him number 2. Wr Brittain Covey is back at wr for Utah after a 2 year mission is listed as second string but we know that will all change from game 1. UAB fredshirt freshman corner , Grayson Cash is listed as 2nd string at NB. And true freshman wr Chase Cota for UCLA is already being penciled in as a starter.
On the bad front rb B. Bisharat isint even 2nd string for Colorado even after Phillip Lindsay is gone. Washington Sean McGrew should be 2nd string but is not listed and Illinois rb M. Epstein though listed as the starter was mentioned having to share duties now with 3 other black scrubs and there is no mention of Michigan rd shirt wr Oliver Martin on the 2 deep. He should be starting.

Hopefully this move works out. The SEC obviously does not want any whites starting at DB (or any other position) so Miller was relegated to a WSTD type roll. It would be great to see him have a breakout senior year at the FCS level and maybe get some positive draft buzz. The NFL needs more white DBs.

Redshirt senior S Reid Miller is transferring from Arkansas to Montana.

Miller is a graduate transfer, so he wouldn't have had to sit out even if he had transferred to an FBS school. He instead will head to Montana; one of the very best FCS programs in the country. Last year, Miller made nine tackles for the Razorbacks, and he's played mostly on special teams in his time with Arkansas. He should get more time with the Grizzlies in 2018.

A couple of new rule changes for 2018:

The first rule change is that transfers may now leave without asking their current school for permission. Under this new “notification-of-transfer” model, student-athletes will have their names entered into a national database, and coaches from other programs can then reach out to gauge interest.

The second rule change is nearly groundbreaking in how it reforms the redshirt standard. Previously, players were given five years to complete four seasons of eligibility – meaning one of those seasons had to be spent without participating in any games, often during a student-athlete’s first year on campus. Now, a redshirt freshman can “participate” in up to four games in their true freshman year and still take a redshirt.

OU quota signs with the Oakland A's as first round pick with agreement to play one more year for OU before playing baseball full-time. Redshirt freshman, Austin Kendall, now with good chance to become OU's starting QB going forward.

In the spring, Murray competed with redshirt freshman Austin Kendall to replace Mayfield but Sooners coach Lincoln Riley said it was "neck-and-neck" between them and hasn't yet decided on a starter.

Transfering to an FCS school? Wait a minute...a player is finally taking my advice. Amazing. "He's played mostly on special teams in his time with Arkansas"- which means he has wasted his playing time there at Arkansas.

I’ll see your “upside” “generational player” “athletic freak” descriptions and raise you this gem from bleacher report

2019's No. 1 CFB recruit, Kayvon Thibodeaux, rarely watches football. He can’t tell you what channel ESPN is. That hasn’t stopped him from becoming
a once-in-a-millennium talent

This guy was a beast in high school and couldn’t get a scholarship.....Preferred walk on at Washington.....Maybe he and McGrew can tear it up next year or so......Wishful thinking?

From Green Bay, to Seattle. Quite the journey, sad no one closer than 2,000miles away deemed him worthy of an offer! Not to mention the kid has got connections! His uncle is Seahawks GM! Without that he'd probably be at a D3 school back home..

Hopefully he is ready to go. He is one of the forgotten draft prospects due to his ACL injury during the bowl game. He didn't take the huge leap from his sophomore to junior campaign but Northwestern has won 26 games with him under center. Thorson is not a clean prospect but my guess is that if he is healthy he will be getting comparisons to Wentz/Allen. He is a big, strong, athletic QB and Northwestern could very well surprise the Big 10 this year with a healthy Thorson under center. They play Michigan, Michigan St, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Iowa (as well as Notre Dame) - all of those teams should be bowl eligible - so if he does play and perform well especially in those big games his stock should really rise.

Pat Fitgerald has assembled quite a white friendly roster in the past few seasons and does do a pretty good amount of recruiting in "Big Ten country".

Northwestern redshirt senior QB Clayton Thorson (knee) said that he's doing "everything in [his] power" to play in the team's season-opening showdown with Purdue on Aug. 30.

Thorson (6'4/220) tore his right ACL while catching a pass on a trick play in December's Music City Bowl win over Kentucky. He subsequently underwent surgery to repair the serious knee injury, with the renowned Dr. James Andrews performing that procedure. The redshirt senior was more or less kept on the sidelines during spring practice drills as he continued his rehab. We should have a much better idea of just how realistic it will be for Thorson to start that opener against Purdue once August camp starts up. While the team has predictably been relatively mum on Thorson's status, one anecdotal sign of his recovery -- he was married on June 16 and reported back that he was "[j]umping around, moving around, no pain." Should Thorson be held out to open the season, the Wildcats would likely turn to one of TJ Green, Aidan Smith and Andrew Marty in his stead. There's very little experience in that group.

It makes you wonder if the author of this even knows what a millenium is.

Just noticed that Alabama freshman Slade Bolden has already been moved from slot receiver to safety. He is now listed as a DB on Alabama's roster after previously being listed as a WR
