The Oakland Raiders signed Jordy Nelson and released black wide receiver Bobby Crabtree today. Did Jon Gruden go color blind last night?

There should be interest for Klug. Bout time he gets out of his racial apprenticeship in Nashville.

Also Janis is officially a FA today.

My guess is the new GM in GB does not want Janis back. He seems hellbent on darkening up the Packers as much as possible.

It would be great to see Janis who is still a young player (26 or 27) go to the Pats who could certainly use his size/speed as a deep threat. Hogan and Edelman are both 30+, Gronk is a beast but injuries are taking their toll.

Yeah he's likely gone, and just like that, zero pale faces at WR for The Pack.

Janis to Pats would be awesome. As for other landing spots.. That's what I'm nervous for.

This morning at the gym I noticed on BESPN that the biggest gimp of all IMO Brushi was down grading the Jordy signing and Crabtree release, how he is considered an authority is beyond me.

It would be perfect for Janis. What's up with Decker? Eagles would be a perfect fit.

Haven't heard much on Decker. He's getting same treatment as Jordy. He's "lost a step". No mention of shitty QB play both the veteran WRs had to deal with last season!

Haven't heard much on Line either..

Noticed Pats had to go and sign Jeremy Hill.. Also signed Adrian Clayborn.

LB Will Compton is visiting Buffalo.

Sad to hear. He was fun to watch and may have blazed the way for White running backs in a similar way that Wes Welker did for wide receivers.

Cheers Danny and enjoy retirement.
Yes he is probably the most important running back to play in the NFL since maybe Craig James.

I don't count Mike Alsott as while Mike did carry the rock he was a between the tackles runner for the most part and around his era a few fullbacks had poor man's versions of his career. Nobody since the late 80's did anything like Woodhead did.

Pats sign OT, Matt Tobin. I remember him starting for the Eagles when Chip Kelly had a half white roster 4 years ago.

In his announcement he thanks, Fat Pig Rex Ryan. For what? Cutting him when he broke the pre-season rushing record that preseason year with the Jets and keeping scrub black RB Joe McNight! F Ryan and the hog he rode in on.

Although Woodhead was cut by the Jets in 2009 and 2010, Rex Ryan was the only coach to have any interest in Danny when he went undrafted in 2008 despite record-setting stats at Chadron State and his 4.3 forty-yard dash times. Ryan also permitted Woodhead to hang around after he landed on IR for an entire year after getting injured during his rookie training camp. Ryan also allowed Woodhead to showcase his skills during the pre-season. Ryan then did Danny the biggest favor...cutting him in 2010, thus allowing NE to sign him, play him, and make him a star scat back.

Woodhead’s best season, the 2015 campaign with SD, saw him net 1,091 total yards, score 9 TDs, his 755 receiving yard were the most by any RB that season, and he was the #2 ranked PPR fantasy football RB.

He was an amazing player and he will be sorely missed. Due to his accomplishments over the past 10 years, guys like McCaffrey, Zenner, and Burkhead are being given a fair chance in the league. One could argue that Woodhead was even more important than Peyton Hillis. Hopefully, McCaffrey will eclipse them both next season.

Looks like another year of racial apprenticeship for Matakevich in Pittsburgh. They signed Jon Bostic to 2yr deal.

Center Russell Bodine is visiting the Bills. Potentially replacing the now retired Eric Wood.

Thomas, Strieff , Posluzny,Woodhead, and Wood all retiring. Good group of players for us over the years.

Wasn't it Mangini that brought Woodhead to the Jets before he was fired?

I believe you are correct, however that first year, 2008, Woody was injured very early in the training camp and spent his entire rookie year in IR. Fat Rex became the head coach in 2009 and I guess he must be given some sort of credit for keeping Woodhead around for a couple of years and giving him enough exposure that the Pats eventually picked him up which launched his 10-year NFL career, it's a great story for sure.

Ryan gets little love around here and for good reason, IMO. I personally think he's a buffoon who allows inmates to run the asylum and we know how that turns out in the NFL. But curiously, he was the one who also gave safety Jim Leonhard a chance after being jerked around in Buffalo for 3 years. First as DC in Baltimore, and then as HC of the Jets where Leonhard followed him. I think Ryan's Jets for at least a couple of years had two starting white safeties, unheard of in the NFL. And while in Buffalo, he gave Chris Hogan a chance who has since made the best of his opportunities.

As for Mangini, he became the head coach at CLE after the Jets, committed the unforgivable sin of making a white RB (Peyton Hillis) his starter, and has been blacklisted ever since. Last I checked, he's an analyst on Fox Sports mixing it up with clowns like Shannon Sharpe, Colin Cowturd, and Skip Bayless.

I wanted to past a rookie year 25 or so TD run by Danny but I couldn't find it. Danny ducked and dodged for a great run to the end zone, then the camera pans up to the Pats owner and his pals cheering in their booth.

It was a great moment with Danny showing he belonged.
