Gone is Spurrier and in comes Kirby Smart who learned the tools of the caste trade on the coaching staffs of Saban, Bowden and Richt.

Depending on the QB situation they could start 5 this year.

Offense
QB Perry Orth or Jake Bentley or a black quarterback
TE Hayden Hurst
LT Mason Zandi
LG Zack Bailey
C Cory Helms

Defense
None

South Carolina is not a very good football team however former MLB draft pick/walk-on TE Hayden Hurst has had a nice start to his year. He currently has 24 receptions for 302 yds which is good for fourth in the nation among TEs. He is over-aged as a prospect (23 year old soph) but with a strong season this year and next he may be a prospect to look out for at the next level.

The idiot head coach Muschamp has also mishandled the QB position by going with Orth or the mediocre QB rather than Jake Bentley. It sounds that Bentley may now be redshirted giving the black quarterback breathing room this year. I hope Bentley is exploring transfer options.

Good post, Leonardfan!

Several talented White TEs are underutilized in the passing game (even in the redzone), so Hurst and Mike Gesicki of Penn State and Tyler Conklin (CMU) are good stories... to go along with better-known Jake Butt and Troy Fumagalli. Scott Orndoff is underused by PITT, it's crazy. Too bad Brandon Lingen, of Minnesota, got injured.
