Did anyone else get a chance to see the "Inside Mini Camp" special? Brian got all the reps at RB and caught everything thrown his way.

I'ld say around 40% of the passes went to Brian. Jamie Dukes still tried to sh*t on Leonard. Saying he lacks "wiggle".

The radio announcer for the Rams said Linehan was "stoaked Leonard was available". On a side note, Adam Carriker is a f***in savage. That guy is huge. At one point in the interview, Adam refered to his arms as "thighcepts".

Yeah carriker is a beast, 300lbs of muscle, and he is fast and as strong as a bear. Here are a few photos of him at camp, notice the second picture where he shoves David Thompson out of the way

The Rams writer said this of carriker:

''Carriker lined up at defensive tackle for both of the day's workouts and pretty much did whatever he wanted to the players assigned to block him.''

Ihope they use Carriker at end, not tackle. With his combination of strength, size and speed, he may be another Jared Allen, who looks ready to clearly establish himself as the best DE in the league this year.

i agreemi'd rather see him at a DE. Linehan wants to play him all over the line and was very happy with him at both nose and three technique tackle.

Jared Allen was slapped with 4 games suspension, so he will only have 12 games to get his stats this season.

I'm stoaked Carriker ended up where he did. Linehan is shapping up to be one of the most pro-white coaches in the league. Holt and Bruce are nearing the end of their careers, Drew should be starting WR sooner than later.

Jeez why don't we just give Carriker his own thread...I thought this was the Brian Leonard one.

Unfortunately Holt is only two years older than Drew. ButBennett has so much more talent at this stage of his career than Bruce, as did Kevin Curtis before him. Bennett right now is in his peak years, which were squandered the past two years with McNair (America's Greatest Living Leader) and Vince Young at the helm. What Bennett showed in 2004,nearly leading the AFC in receivingwith a competent QB throwing to him unabashedly as he blew by defenders (Billy Volek), was something to behold and always remember.Edited by: Don Wassall

Brian Leonard is listed like FB on the site of NFL..

don't worry, people who are maintaining the NFL.com websiteare ignorant bureaucrats-nerds, they don't do research until they are told to, and everybody listed him as a FB until the draft, they just do what they're told

Although this is now dated, NFL.com had a very interesting draft profile of Brian Leonard.

Here is the link, points of interest include Brian Leonard being compared to Jim Taylor, Mike Alstott and Justin Griffith as well as a proclamation that Leonard might be "best utilized as a halfback in a one-back offense."

I'd agree with that. I see him being very much in the Riggo mold, a guy that will always get decent yards, and breaks some long runs off a few times a game, able to make DBs miss and when he can't, lay into them. He's strong enough to not need a great deal of spelling as well.

Nice little Brian Leonard article

"This is less a problem for teams with a more clearly-defined powerback and scatback, like the Saints or Jaguars, but the Rams have two guys with similar skillsets."

GREAT article, 15-20 touches by game that's amazing for a 2nd RB in depth chart!!! Leonard will have at leat 10 carry that's great, really great.

c'mon man. as an ex athlete i never wish injuries upon anyone. period.

as for Brian, if he can showcase his stuff - and it seems he will have a chance to do that - he will be in a great position if Jackson's ever get injured or decides to ask for two much money.

go Brian!

I hope you never write as stupid a post as that one again. I bet you Leonard himself is not wishing for that to happen.

You can say what you will about what White noise posted, but in these overt caste times...where talented white student athletes constantly get the shaft for black affirmative action criminals...err I mean "projects" hoping for an injury to one of them so one of "our" good guys can get a fair deal is completely logical and warranted in my mind!

We've discussed this before a while back. Almost all of us are trained not to wish bad luck on another athlete even a rival. But the situation is very clear. Unless the black players that are ahead of the white players on the depth charts (and at RB and WR they are ALWAYS ahead of the white players) get injured then the white player has little chance of playing.

No matter how well a white guy has played as a back-up if a black starter slumps then the team goes out and finds another black retread to replace him at the top of the depth chart. About the only chance a white player has is after an injury to the black starter when there is no time to find a black replacement.

Example if Jackson were to play very poorly the team would scramble to find another black to replace him, Leonhard would get no chance to earn his spot even if he was next in line. I've seen this happen dozens of times in the last few years.

However if Jackson suddenly got unjured then they have to throw Leonhard in anyway. If Leonhard plays well he will still be replaced by a black retread as soon as a decent one can be found, that is the recent history of the NFL but at least Leonhard gets a chance--for what it's worth (usually nothing).

Having said all that it can be seen why an injury to the starting black player is the best scenerio.

And futhermore so what if someone "wishes" an injury on someone else, it's not like such a wish is going to have any effect. But the end result is that a injury to Jackson is the best thing that could happen to Leonhard.

Wish success for Leonard. Just let him showcase his stuff in his rookie NFL year and hopefully accumulate 500-700 yards rushing.

Injuries are never something to wish on another athlete.

Great points Jaxvid. In years past (and with most teams) that has happend, but Linehan is really high on Leonard and will give him as much of a chance as anyone. If something happens to Jackson, injury, lack of production, whatever, Leonard will get his time to shine, and you can quote me on that.
