Since it's opening day, I figured we would create this topic. If you have never heard of the Baseball Prospectus, it's an annual publication (book) that predicts how every player in the majors will do. It's done from a Sabermetrics point of view in predicting HR, RBI, AVG, OBP, SLG, 2B, etc.

Here are some predictions from the book with HR, RBI, AVG, OBP, SLG

Stephen Drew--SS--ARZ 21, 75, 285, 347, 503
Jeff Francoeur--RF--ATL 26, 91, 284, 327, 498
Nick Markakis--RF--BAL 15, 68, 289, 348, 446

Chase Utley--2B--PHI&nbs p;31, 99, 287, 366, 524
Jason Bay--OF--PIT 34,103, 283, 383, 544

They also have predictions for pitchers. So, if you have any comments or would like to know the predicted statistics of another individual, just ask. Thank you.

They're pretty accurate, but still very PC they say Bonds was a better hitter than Ruth due to integration. The writer who wrote this Jonah Kuri, yeah I trust that name.

I liked the dropoff they compared for Dontrelle Willis last year they were on target.

The Babe Ruth comment was absolutely asinine, but the drop-off line was a scream.
