Ray Emery of the Ottawa Senators, in true playoff form, was steady and stalwart in the net, allowing in 2 third period goals and 1 in overtime giving the Toronto Maple Leafs a win over the Senators and enabling the Leafs to climb into the 8th and final spot in the eastern conference.

Georges Laraque, of the Pittsburg Penguins, didn't play very much but was able to pick a fight that he couldn't finish. He pounded away on the helmet of his shorter opponent, hurting his hand in the process. The cameras showed him icing his hand in the penalty box...

Donald Brashear, the guy that got McSorley kicked out of the league, slugged a guy in the face who had his hands down and was not expecting to be punched. He did this while wearing his gloves so as to avoid a major penalty. He was given a 2 minute minor...the other guy was knocked down and hit the ice.

Ahhh yes, Mr. Laraque and Mr. Brashear...two people who have ZERO hockey talent, and are only taking two NHL roster spots away from two players who actually deserve to be there. Caste system-nut huggers often believe that Mr. Laraque is the "baddest man in the NHL". WRONG!!! If you promptly go to youtube, you will find a video of him getting his ass handed to him by none other than...the one, the only...Tony Twist. Here's the clip:

As for Mr. Brashear, he has this uncanny ability to get laid the f*ck out by Brian Marchment every time he steps on the ice against San Jose (and I mean Marchment MANGLES him...lol). Keep that head up when skating across mid-ice, Brashear...the trains a comin' through. These video clips are also easily accessable on youtube. lol. Once again, here's the clip:

These two guys are sheer waste of equipment. Brashear is a no-class bully who is only one step above a neanderthal. But from what I've heard about Laraque, he's reportedly a pretty nice guy off the ice, and very cordial. But he still has no talent, and he's taking up space.Edited by: Ground Fighter

Hmm sorry man but for me yeah Georges Laraque is THE best fighter in the NHL. He is so a gentle guy, i've already spoke to him(he is from Quebec Montreal like me) and wow this guy have class. YOU CANT compare him to the black **** of other sports.

But for the other quebecer Brashear, he is a good fighter but I hate him.

From what I've seen of Laraque, he's pretty much a huggy bear in his scraps.
He keeps the other guy close, throw a lot of lefts that hit the air, the other
guy's shoulder of the back of his neck, and then he tackles the other guy. I
thought the idea of fighting a guy was to beat him up, not tackle him so the
refs stop the fight. If you're pounding on the other guy, why would you
want the refs to stop the fight?

Not to play devils advocate GF because I agree with you most of the time and love reading your posts, but that can be said about a lot of people in the NHL. Cam Janssen fits that description as well. He seems to be following in the footsteps of shear douchebaggery of former New Jersey Devils Ken Daneyko and Scott Stevens

Ahhh!!!! Come on Lance, how can you hate on Scott Stevens!?!? Stevens hit hard, but clean. I always modeled my style of play after him in youth hockey. JUst because he destroyed people on the ice with his hitting, doesn't mean that he's a dirty player. He just waited for the right moment to do it, and thats fair play as far as I'm concerned. If people don't want to get run over during the game, then they should learn to skate across center is with their heads UP, and not looking at the ice when they're carrying the puck. Daneyko is a bit on the questionable side, but Stevens was great.Edited by: Ground Fighter
