I know what J.B.Cash's opinion is regarding blacks in football.

When did the first black step out onto the gridiron? Was it in 1954?

What college was first in employing them for their football team?

Going against the policy of Political Correctness,I have found myself

in trouble,more than once.In Columbus Ohio,the Buckeyes,are gods

of the gridiron, especially the blacks.I realize that Colleges and the

Universities,"hire"blacks to play for them, because of the money it

attracts,at the cost of academia, but with case after case of the trouble

and problems these blacks cause the university,is it really worth it

to them? The latest example:Maurice Clarret and Antonio Holmes,

both have fathered illigetimate children, and yet no one has said a word

against them,or about the impropities Karen Holbrook for all her

moralizing,is an over paid hypocrite 350,000 plus 150,000 in bennies,

plus she rode on the back of a convertible,in the Gay Pride Parade.

Prior to this she put an end to tailgating parties, and overt noise

and cheering at the games.

I'm hardly an expert in this area but I remember that the NFL was intergrated up until the great depression. Blacks have playing football at long as there has been football. It's only in the last twenty years that they've magically become the superior athletes.

Blacks were in pro football from its inception in 1920 until 1933. There were no blacks between 1934 and 1945. In 1946, Marion Motley and Bill Willis were signed by the Browns. The caste system began to build steam when the so called gentlemen's agreement to have less than 6 blacks starting on a team fell apart after the AFL/NFL merger in 1970. The AFL had no such supposed racial quotas as did the pre-1970 NFL.

Perhaps there is a new kind of "Gentlemen's agreement" now operating in the NFL?

Yeah devans, I think that is a good point. I think the number you can't go past now is 40% white, although a better case can be made for 50%. It is certainly agreed on at many positions. Whites are "channeled" away from them and sifted out in varying degrees from high school on. The whites are "stacked" at kicker, deep snapper, and some offensive line positions. I don't think whites are stacked at QB anymore, the influx of blacks to the position proves this to be the case. It is a bit different than the agreement used against blacks, because there is the myth of black athletic superiority to deal with and the black supremacist media.
