NHL Draft: Lots of good White Men

My dish company put OLN on for 2 weeks as a "teaser" for new subscribers. So I helped myself to the NHL draft for the first five picks.

Great to see SO many happy white families enjoying a truly happy event: their magnificent white sons getting a chance at an enjoyable career as honest gladiators. </font>

Don't know much about Mr. Eric Johnson the first pick, but he looked big (as defensemen should be) and the St Louis Blues brass were all smiles.

The Captials sent Alex Ovechkin to the podium five times to pick the Caps' draft picks. Nice touch. The new Swede seemed right at home next to the nordic-looking Ovechkin. </font>

Round-headed Khazar Gary Bettman played the goofy commish what has no clue. The Staal family were superb: They had their hero Eric Staal with his new Stanley Cup Ring (well, don't think the ring was ordered yet but he sure had the championship smile) and the younger son Jordan who getS to go to training camp with Pittsburgh as the #2 pick in the draft.

It was a great day for pro Hockey in North America. When the NHL gets its television act together, the sport will take ofF like a shot. It's totally superior in excitement and honor that all the other major sports combined </font></font>Edited by: Realgeorge

couldn't agree more. Like the idea of putting the stars out to call the draft picks. Can't hurt to establish their names. That is the one area the NHL hasn't done enough to highlight the stars. However, I don't want them to ever get like the NBA where everyone is the "next Jordan", but to have household names in the cities of the teams is a good thing.

Got a feelig the NHL finally has its act together. seems like they're beginning to do all the right things. Maybe Bettman will be proven a genius withe lockout in that it strengthened hte league for the long term. Only time will tell, but I am more excited for the NHL than I've been in a long time.

Did you notice how much more civilised the whole proceedings were compared to the NBA draft? No bragging or trash talk. When the TSN interviewer would ask the chosen players if they were ready to play NHL right awat most, possibly all of them, modestly said it would take time. I'd forgotten modesty existed among young sports stars.

Alexander Ovechkin was also there signing autographs. If there were any justice he'd be one of the most famous athletes in the US.

This year 10 Americans were selected in the first round, including the top two picks. That equals last years amount of 10 first round picks, which also included an American going #1 overall. Looks like the days of sending senior citizens to represent the U.S at the olympics is coming to an end.

The NHL Draft is always a favorite day for me. In the middle of the Summer orgy of ESPN praising non-achieving non-White baseball players, and salivating over the approach of the all-African NFL training camp, the all-White NHL Draft is most refreshing. And poo on the Zionist TV networks who don't care to televise. I'll get the news on internet anyway

Saw Patrick Kane and Jim vanRiemsdyk being interviewed on ESPN by some usual ESPN-nick commentator. The draftees were well-spoken and amazingly cool as the reported tried to prod them into saying idiotic things. Mr. Kane started and stayed in a vein of "I'm honored to have been drafted first and will do whatever I can to help my new team." VanRiemsdyk was baited with "People are comparing you to John Leclair." The young lad answered that the comparison was unjustified because Leclair is a world-class NHL alum and he a mere draftee, but was glad to be mentioned in the same sentence.

The young fellows were extremely poised, polite, unflappable. It was most impressive. From good families, these lads! Glad to have them onboard in the NHL. Great to see them thwart and ESPN weenie determined to get them to speak like NBA jerks

The NHL draft is by far the best in professional sports. Someone from ESPN commented that Kane looked like an alter boy. Exactly! These are kids you'd actually want to meet and talk with. The purity of the NHL is still alive.

Amen to that. I might be biased as a Penguins fan, but I found Angelo Esposito to be a very good looking guy.. the type your daughter could bring home to meet mom and dad. Nice long hair (no ugly crew cut, buzzcut, or mini-mohawk) Nice dark Italian features. God, I probably sound like a f^g as I'm typing this but I know if I had a daughter this would be the type of guy I would want my daughter to date, not some NFL/NBA thug or some UFC musclehead

Sorry to see Glen Hanlon fired from coaching the Washington Capitals. There's a lesson: Too much pampering is not good for White Men.

The Caps' ownership took a gamble and paid zillions of dollars for the ultimate ice-plex palace for the Caps to practice in, in the VA "suburbs". All well and good, but the country-club atmosphere is double-edged. Previous years the team trained in spartan barracks in the Maryland countryside. They started the seasons growling and hungry. Now they have comforts and delights that money can buy -- and they have been flat all season, preferring to enjoy those magnificent hot-tubs and massages rather than mercilessly beating on opponents.

The Coach was a "Player's coach," which sometimes works well with a veteran team, but not so hot with a bunch of rookies and 22-year-old "veterans". A screamer and a mean s-o-b is required -- for all teams of young White men.
