The following team can be had with complete ease in ESPNs mock drafts for a 12 team league "snake" drafting format, pretty much no matter where you draft. The format is 1 qb, 2 RB 2 wr, 1 TE, 1 "flex" 1 k 1 DEF, 7 subs.

Peyton Manning
Toby Gerhart
Danny Woodhead
Jordy Nelson
Wes Welker
Rob Gronkowski
Julian Edelman
Matt Prater
Texans DEF
Riley Cooper
Brian Hartline
Greg Olsen
Peyton Hillis

3 remaining subs, take your pick.

It would be interesting if some posters on here joined leagues with this lineup and posted results. I would wager I could win or place high in most competitive leagues with this lineup; there is such a log jam of talentless black players after the first 50 picks, whereas white quality players are simply ignored or undervalued.

I have been going Aaron Rogers, Jordy, Gerhart, Gronk, Welker with pretty good success. I usually don't get Decker.........but I can live with that seeing as he will have Smiff or the dog killer throwing to him........Edelman and Amendola are hit and miss after the top five........Hartline never gets drafted which is absurd. I've lost out on Jordy and Gronk a couple of times. I can live without Gronk and get Ertz..........but can't go without Jordy so he's my second pick.

I tried to follow that guuide as closely as I could, but I'm afraid I've made some mistakes...

I tried to get Manning, but he was drafted right before me. I had to go with Rodgers (not bad at all), but now I've got two Packers, two Patriots, a possibly injured Welker.

Not to mention numerous of my players/teams have byes on the same week. Eh.

This is my team thus far.

Any thoughts upon improving it? I really wanted Manning, but it wasn't to be. And I'm not going to make a new team or re-draft.

I was thinking of maybe Develin instead of Hillis? Or is there any other white rushing FB out there? Nate Eachus had the ability, but never was given the time. Same with Kuhn (but that's another Packer). I looked on the Pats depth chart and Develin was listed as last. So they'd probably use anyone else (even an RB) in front of him. Hmm...

I was also switching between Durham, Beasley, and Whalen as another WR, but it seems that Durham was released (signed by Titans) but the only reason I had him was because he and Stafford had a connection dating back to GA. Same with Whalen and Luck. However, Beasley seems to be the most used and optimized. He's part of the game every game, not just a deep threat, or one off TD player.

Anyone else I should be looking at?

Thanks.

i came in 2nd in a yahoo league, should have been first but i kind of just spaced out the championship because I wasnt following the league that much

Drew Brees, Danny Woodhead, Jordy Nelson, Eric Decker, Eric Weddle, Harrison Smith, Paul Worrilow, Luke Kuechly, Chris Long, Kyle Williams, sebastian janikowski

backups like hartline, riley cooper, andrew sendenjo, qb, rb, wr, wr/te, rb/wr/te 2 db, 2 lb, 1 dl, which is why i only needed one starter, i forget which guy i picked up for the bye, so i had to start one black one week. I dont remember the other guys I had but they were easy to get, I had cushing but picked up worrilow fairly easy, all the White defenders were easy to get for cheap, people are on to Jordy, Woodhead, Decker, and of course Brees

i wish i would have kept up with the league, i missed the 8 keepers and the first 2 rounds of the draft, wound up with Montee Ball and Brandon Marshall, trying to trade them for Gerhart and Nelson, i think they will do Gerhart.

so right now its a simlar lineup with matt ryan instead of brees. Getting to pick individual defensive players is like a guarantee to win it without having to stress out about getting a Brees or a Manning but i need another db besides Weddle, someone else took harrison smith, he has kuechly as well but i have Cushing and Worrilow.

Had the draft tonight in my Yahoo league and ended up with Matt Ryan, Gerhart, and Decker among my starters and Phillip Rivers and Heath Miller as reserves. I am happy.

Can continue to add white players as the season progresses...

I have dropped DeAndre Hopkins and added Hartline, and dropped Terrence Newman as my defender and added Brian Cushing. What I don't get at all is that Yahoo autopicked most of my team for me, presumably based on projected points for the players for the year. Cushing is projected to get 135 points for the season and Newman is projected to get 75. They are both defenders. Yet they auotpicked Newman for me. It makes no sense.

Same thing with Hartline. He is projected to get 153 points for the season, and Hopkins is supposed to get 145. They are both wide receivers, yet Yahoo autopicked Hopkins. Makes no sense at all.

Looking to add more quality, under-valued white players as the season moves on!

Looks like we have an abandoned team in the Riggins League, one of two CF-sponsored fantasy football leagues. If interested in playing against some of the posters here in a very competitive fantasy league, let me know by pm or by posting in this thread.

I had my fantasy football draft in my annual 12 team league of family and friends. The scoring is slightly customized in that quarterbacks are favored and we do individual defenders instead of team. Here's my results:

1.
(5)Aaron Rodgers (GB - QB)
2.
(20)Jordy Nelson (GB - WR)
3.
(29)Toby Gerhart (Jax - RB)
4.(44)Vincent Jackson (TB - WR)
5.
(53)Jordan Cameron (Cle - TE)
6.(68)Steven Jackson (Atl - RB)
7.(77)Ray Rice (Bal - RB)
8.
(92)Dennis Pitta (Bal - TE)
9.
(101)Philip Rivers (SD - QB)
10.(116)Stevan Ridley (NE - RB)
11.(125)Maurice Jones-Drew (Oak - RB)
12.
(140)Riley Cooper (Phi - WR)
13.
(149)Brian Cushing (Hou - LB)
14.(164)Ryan Shazier (Pit - LB)
15.(173)Jason Pierre-Paul (NYG - DE)
16.(188)Olivier Vernon (Mia - DE)
17.
(197)Dan Bailey (Dal - K)
18.
(212)Danny Amendola (NE - WR)
19.
(221)Travis Kelce (KC - TE)
20.(236)LaRon Landry (Ind - S)
21.(245)Prince Amukamara (NYG - CB)

I have to say that people have wised up to alot of White players. Guys like Woodhead, Decker, Hartline and Edleman were all swooped up before their ADP (average draft position). For defenders, most years I've had my pick of White linebackers who rack up tackles. This year Poz, Keuchly, Worrilow, Greenway and Laurinaitis all came off the boards quick. Weddle and Smith too (we play 2 DBs, 2 LB & 2 DL). Watt was first defender picked. The White players I did get, I generally had to go under their ADP to get.

A positive sign though worse for my fantasy enjoyment.

P.S. - I plan to add a White DL or DB if and when I can. I'll see how Conte, Robison and Wolfe do. It's really slim pickings at those spots.

Would be very interested. I realize my post count is low, but I lurk more than I post.

On a side note:
Here was my week 1 happenings:
woody woodhead pull it out.jpg

I need Danny Woody Woodster Woodhead to score just 4 points. I hope he does it. Hopefully a screen pass to TD or something. I wish Romo's second INT was returned for a TD, instead of a second TD from Kaep to Davis. Figures they both have big games when I need them not to. Plus Dan Bailey only got like 3 kicks. :sleepy:

I also had benched Ertz in favor of Gronk, and Ertz scored 3 more points than Gronk, which would mean Woodhead would only need 1 point to win. And I lacked Welker, so I went with Decker.

Ah well. Rodgers and Nelson both had off-nights, so going forth. Perfectly feasible an all white team can win in fantasy. But I'm preaching to the choir here.

I put in claims for both Slowshon and Hurns, but just to keep them away from others, I don't plan to start them.

Full roster is as shows:
http://i.imgur.com/HlFdGsg.jpg

EDIT: I can't seem to get a link to my full roster. :panda:

Bench is:
Zach Ertz
Wes Welker
Riley Cooper
Philip Rivers
Peyton Hillis
Cole Beasley

I originally wanted to get Peyton Manning instead of Rodgers (no disrespect to Rodgers), but I don't like having too many players on the same team, as to avoid byes, bad games, etc. But the person right before chose Manning.

So it goes, I suppose.

I haven't heard back from Meireles about taking over the abandoned team. The abandoned team currently leads the Riggins League in points scored! It has Jordy Nelson, Jordan Cameron and Andrew Luck on the roster. Surely there is a poster here who will help out his CF brothers and take over this team.

Not that anyone cares, but I re-appear, from my absence.

I've had to start two blacks, since injuries due to Danny Woodhead. I wish I was in an IDP league, since then it'd be both feasiable and possible (and likely) to field an all white squad and win.
