The Russian who won in Bellator last night is only 23 and fights like a young Fedor. I also like Vick, who now upset both Cochrane and Cruikshank. Laid Cruikshank out cold.

houston and riggs was a heck of a fight, the russian looked impressive also. On march 30 the number one prospect at 170 lbs according to bloodyelbow.com is fighting in bellator, his name is koreshkov.

Former Oklahoma State wrestler Tyler Shinn is trying MMA, today he defeated prospect Cody Land (5-1). Currently Shinn is 25 years old 5'3 135 and has a record of 3-0. Shinn was a very talented wrestler for Oklahoma State, however he had some injuries and lost his weight class to Jordan Oliver, the number 1 wrestler. He however left with a pretty good record, and I think he could do well at 125.

Pro Prospect
Leo Kuntz is a North Dakota mma prospect, he is 28 years old 5'10 205, I actually think he could probably cut down to 185 or 170. He currently has a record of 14-1, his one loss being agaisnt T.J. Mudrud. Kuntz is a grappler with ko power, and is riding a ten fight win streak.

Amateur Prospect
Jason Ostrowski is another very talented amateur Heavyweight from Missouri. He is a fomer high school football prospect and college player for Truman State. Ostroski is 22 6'4 270 and is currently the Shofight heavyweight champion, with a record of 6-0 only one figth went to the second round. in his He last fight he defeated champion Robb Philippus.

Brennan Ward is another fighter with potential. He is 23 years old 6'1 185 and fights out of a pretty small gym in Providence, RI. Yesterday he defeated a very experienced fighter in aflete Harley Beekman by UD. this was a huge upset considering Beekman was undefeated and had defeated many of the top fighters in his weightclass. Ward currently has a record of 3-0 pro and 1-0 am and all but the Beekman fight have been first round stoppages. Ward who was a Division III all-american wrestler at Johnson & Wales has been doing MMA for less than 2 years.

Thomas Gifford- reminds me a little of a young Carlos Condit, He is a very instinctive fighter. He 19 years old, 6'1 155 and sports a record of 3-0 pro and 9-2 am, he started out 1-2. All of his pro wins have been first round stoppages and seven of his ameateur wins have been first round stoppages.

Matt VanBuren- age 6'5 205 5-0 pro and 6-1 am. He has been on Bellator twice, but they were both undercards. I'm impressed with his size and KO power. I heard he also has good submissions.

@Hawkeye

@Hawkeye--sweet thread man, you really dig deep with these prospects. I know both Tyler Shinn and Brandon Bender well so I wanted to give you an update on them since you've been talking about them. Bender is dropping to 135 and fighting at Gladiator Challenge in a week. Opponent is TBA but the fight is just an opportunity to prove he can make 135 and still compete at a high level. Regarding his weight, he currently weighs under 145 so he'll be just fine.
And as for Tyler Shinn, he would be super pissed if he found out people were saying he is 5'3''...dude is 5'5''. And as for your idea about him going to flyweight--not going to happen. He made 135 for RFA2 but went through hell to do so and by fight time he was about 160.
Also, one of your favorite guys (mine too), Tim Williams, has been out for a while b/c he found out that he had a torn labrum and had been fighting with it for about a year. He is almost completely healed though and will be back very soon.
Also, you've mentioned Derrick Krantz before--he'll be back fighting in Bellator in May so watch out for him
One person I haven't seen you mention who you should look up is Cole Williams, just saying!

Keep churning out good stuff man!
