While the Bucks might be as White or even Whiter, the TWolves should be the Caste Football team of choice. The have 1 superstar, Love, and 1 potential superstar, Rubio. This could be the Dirk / Nash duo that we were robbed of years ago.

I will be pulling or the Timberwolves big time this year. For the CFers who have not witnessed Rubio's ball handling skills, I urge you to do so. He is just as sound as Steve Nash, but with one exceptionn...He is just spectacular!!! The passes he delivers and makes are off the cart. I can't say enough of his passing skills.

I've watched a couple of T-Wolves games, and Rubio is very impressive. Amazing passing skills based on his vision, anticipation and control of the ball. Additionally, he has great quickness and length on defense. From what I've seen, he will hit the open shot, but I haven't seen him shoot any 3s. He's very competitive and gets the crowd and his teammates fired up. He's only 21, so we should be enjoying Rubio for years. Hopefully Rubio and Love can be the Stockton and Malone of Minnesota.

The other night, Friday against the Hornets:

Kevin Love, 34 PTs, 15 Rebounds, 17 of 18 from the line. :hail:

Rubio had 9 assists.

Love spent only one year at college, and white players "usually" take longer to develop (or to be considered draft-able :thumbdown:). They were saying he was a bust his first season, even though he was averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds a game, much better than Oden who was only labeled a bust because of injuries. :bored:

Saturday against the Hawks:

Love, 30 PTs, 13 Rebounds

Rubio, 12 assists.

We need to call these two young guys "the dynamic duel". They both are incredible basketball players. Kevin Love is already a top 5 player in the whole nba period. He is that good and Rubio will be a future all star within a couple of years. This is a fun team to watch!

Love proves his worth tonight with 31pts and 10rbds in a win over Dallas (no Dirk).
Rubio had 17pts and 12 assts.
Even Darko had a decent game - 8pts, 7rbds, and 7blks.

Curiously though, Luke Ridnour did not start and did not play.

He was out with a knee injury. He's listed as day to day. I can't wait for Barea to get back healthy. Checking his status on ESPN, the fantasy "spin" stated that once healthy he could be the starting shooting guard.

Another great game by our guys in a win against the spurs. Love (18 pts/16 rebounds), Pekovic (14 pts/10 rebounds), and Rubio (18 pts/10 assists) all had double-doubles!!

Glad to see that Pekovic played so well in Darko's absence.
Maybe he should be starting instead of Darko.
Love is a superstar, Ridnour is solid, and Rubio is improving every game.

Anyway, they are starting to win some games, which is good news.
Because if they are going to keep 4 white starters, they need to be a winning team. (right now they are last in their division).

Amazing that they have 3 white point guards - Rubio, Ridnour, and Barea;
and 3 white centers - Milicic, Pekovic, and Brad Miller.

I'm extremely disappointed in Darko. He' on a white friendly team and he's not producing. I remember before the draft some scouts were actually saying Darko was the better player than Carmelo Anthony and Lebron James.

Thanks for this info. Whenever I am flipping through the channels and come upon an NBA game it seems there are always 9 Negroes and one white man running up and down the court.

I gave up on the racist NBA years ago but might try and see a Minnesota or Milwaukee game on TV if one comes on.

I was watching a bit of NBA TV last night and a fan asked a question in regards to who should be an ALL Star, Love or Blake Griffin. Greg Anthony said that Griffin because the fans voted him in. Fair enough. He did however say that Love is arguably the best power forward in the game right now.

Another trifecta of double-doubles tonight in a hard fought win against the nets

Pekovic: 27 points, 11 rebounds (he needs to be starting over Darko!)
Love: 20 points, 10 reounds
Rubio: 10 points, 10 assists

The lone black starter, Wesley Johnson, almost cost the wolves the game. Up 104-99, he fouled a Net player that made a 3 and connected on the free throw for the 4 point play to make it 104-103. But ridnour and barea made their free throws down the stretch and thw olves won 108-105

You beat me to it. Peckovic was awesome! He actually outscored and outrebounded Kevin Love. I agree 100% that he should be in the starting lineup. He is a monster at 6'11 and he will be tough for any team to guard. They double Love so much, it should leave plenty of easy buckets for Peckovic and other teammates. The Twolves are really playing good basketball over the last few weeks. I see them only getting better as the season moves forward. I sill hate how the nba all star game is a popularity contest. Griffin is a good player but should not be a starter over Kevin Love.

Yep....and Ridnour put in 9 points...Rubio had 6 steals......Pekovic was 11/14 shooting. Near the end of the game the T'Wolves had five whites on the floor.....unbelievable and fun to watch.....:high5:

Very happy to see Pekovic with a big game.
He's been outplaying Darko Milicic, but hopefully this big game is a confidence booster, and we see him step up his game a notch.
Right now they are almost a .500 team, and they need to get better. Maybe Pekovic can help get them there.

This team is starting to remind me of the Utah Jazz from the 90s -
Love = Malone
Rubio = Stockton
Ridnour = Hornacek
Pekovic = Eaton
Beasley = Russell

They've still got a long ways to go to equal that caliber of team, but I do see similarities.

Minnesota picks up another win - over the Rockets.
And almost another game with 3 double doubles for Minnesota

Kevin Love 25 pts, 18 rbds
Rick Rubio 13pts, 11 assts
Pekovic 11 pts, 9 rbds
and Ridnour with 22 pts to boot!

You beat me to it jacknyc. This is great news as they won on back to back nights after a hard game last night. They looked fresh tonight with no signs of fatigue. We can finally say that they are at a even 500 record. Now if they can just continue winning. They are only a little bit behind Utah in the chase for the 7th or 8th playoff spot. I know it's not even the all star break but I'm still excited. It's a short season and they need to make the playoffs. It would be really great if this team could go pick up Joe Alexander. He would be another piece of the puzzle. I honestly have to admit that this is the funnest team that I have watched in around a decade. Go Twolves.

Glad to see that the wolves got back to the 500 mark after starting 3-7.

The team looks great and I hope Pekovic continues to start! Even with a shorteneed season it looks like they will easily surpass their high win total for the past 5 years which was a paltry 24 in 08-09

Minnesota is 6-4 in their last 10 games; no one in the Western Conference is better than 7-3 over that span, and they're now only 1 1/2 games out of a playoff spot.
