Just thought I'd get this thread started as the weekend's games already started last night with a forgettable West Virginia win over equally black South Florida. Tonight, we have the pleasure of watching Chandler Harnish and the Northern Illinois team play for the MAC championship against the Ohio Bobcats. It will be fun watching much whiter teams play rather than the awful stuff we were subjected to on Thursday nite with the above mentioned WV/SF tilt and the Eagles/Seahawks.

Oh, Oregon also plays 6-6 UCLA in the inaugural Pac-12 title game, but unless Darron Thomas goes down paving the way for Bryan Bennett, it will be a snooze-fest with lost of TNB and other jungle activities.

Here's our abbreviated lineup of Week 14 games.

Ohio 15 North Illin 6
TCU 10 UNLV 5
Utah St 11 NM St 4
Nevada 11 Idaho 6
Boise St 15 NM 7
BYU 14 Haw 4
Va Tech 7 Clem 4

Would love to see Georgia upset LSU, just to discredit the BCS rankings a little.

I loathe Clemson, but hope they beat VT. Clemson is ranked #20 and is no threat to win a NC, or to even crack the top 10. VT is ranked #5. I'm going against the grain on this one and hope Clemson wins.

Can't believe Ohio is blowing this game. When they were still up by two TDs halfway through the 4th QTR and had the ball they should've just ran it and took time off the clock instead of trying to pass it those 3 or 4 times resulting in incompletions. There'd be no time left on the clock now and NIU probably wouldn't even have scored the last TD to tie it.

Harnish will have to wait one more game to reach his milestones (3,000 passing, 1,400 rushing), but leading a comeback to win a conference championship ought to be worth some points to the NFL types.

This was a sloppy game all around. Just at different times for both teams. Solich is a gamer. He has built a rock solid foundation at Ohio. Tettleton will be back. Jordan Lynch will take over for Harnish at NIU. I think both these teams will be back in the championship next year.

Southern Miss is abusing Keenum thus far.

I'd say they were abusing the overrated Kevin Sumlin. He spent this week planning his move to Texas A&M (or Arizona State) rather than preparing his team to face future NFL QB Austin Davis.

I'm sure Keenum will pull his ass out of the fire, though.

Not to mention that Keenum's affletic receiver corps is also "abusing" him. It's a dropfest. You would think that the game is being played in a rainstorm with the number of wide-open drops that the Houston receivers have.

Tuned in for the K-State/Ia-State game but it was delayed due to inclement weather, so the station was showing Valor Christian vs. Pine for the Class 4A football title.

Both Christian and Max McCaffrey are looking great for Valor Christian. Max just had a pick six and Christian is looking strong, fast, and elusive at RB. Just saw Max is headed to Duke on a scholly.

Max at 6'3", 190lbs with 4.4 40 speed but only offers from Duke, Wake Forest, AZ State, and UConn. With his size and speed he should've had a couple of dozen offers. Where were Colorado and Colorado St with their offers? Why didn't they recruit him? Oh, they were probably in Florida looking for 5'9" "speed" guys, you know, the real athletes.

Wow. Christian just blocked a punt now and then just scored another TD on a long pass reception on the next play.

Valor Christian destroying Pine now, 38-3, 1st QTR.

EDIT: Christian McCaffery just goes 80 yards for another TD. The Sophomore RB now has 216 yards and 4 TDs so far today...9:30 left in the 3rd QTR.

EDIT2: Christian McCaffery just trucked an affletic DB for an 8 yard gain...showcasing some power.

Hopefully, Houston's loss will open a BCS at-large bid for either Boise State or Kansas State

I was going to cheer for Georgia to upset LSU but even if LSU loses they'll still most likely make the Championship game. A Georgia win would mean 3 BCS bids for the SEC.

Hopefully, Texas shuts down RG3 and puts an end to his Heisman campagin today!

Kansas State is playing good today. Klein has 63 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns at the half. They have a chance to share a tie for the Big 12 Title. They also can possibly move into the BCS top Bowl Picture with Houston losing. Let's go Kansas State.

Yes but Georgia beating LSU gives Boise an argument that they beat a team who beat a team that went to the national championship. Won't affect anything but it shows that other teams can compete. How are we supposed to know the SEC is good when they only play each other? Yes they occasionally play out of conference but rarely anyone tough. This LSU top defense? how do we know? I just saw Georgia defeat itself on offense by drops and mistakes, but that goes down as the defense stopping the drive.

Im tired of the myth and it won't end this year. Hester was the reason LSU won one title, and Tebow was the reason why UF won another, both talented players who carried the team on their back. They picked Hawaii of all teams to play Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and their poly line couldn't keep Brennan upright, they figured the same thing would happen by letting Utah play Alabama, but it didn't, Utah won. The next year Boise and TCU have great seasons but forced to play each other? Texas played a close game against Alabama in the national championship with a true freshman qb (that isn't starting now with the program). Oregon vs Auburn was close.

There needs to be a playoff system, some of these teams lose a chance for having an off week. Maybe something will change if tv ratings go down, many people have called into the local radio show (in the south) saying they don't want to see SEC vs SEC, they want to see the SEC's best vs another conference's best.

The SEC homeboys on UGAs offense have dropped two sure TD passes making the LSU defense look artificially good and now they just gave up a TD pass.

Yes they are.

Valor also has a LB that accepted a scholly from Boise State and a 4 star OL with about three dozen offers.

Glad to see KState win. Klein and the whole team played great.

Jeff Woody did have solid game for Iowa State and he should get better with two years left. He sure is a very powerful runner.

What a shame about the McCaffrey boys. Nothing suprises me anymore. If your white in this country, you are perceived to be slow and unathletic despite what the stop watch says. What a damn shame.

If Georgia beats LSU by 14 plus and Oklahoma State wins big OSU could leapfrog LSU in the BCS Rankings, which would leave LSU out of a BCS bowl!! That would be great! Anything is possible.

But then again, it would cost Kansas State or Boise a BCS bid if Alabama and LSU remined #1 and #2.

Christian lookes like he will be a force to be reckoned with. This was his sophomore year?

Yes, he was a Sophomore this year, so he still has two years left. Valor Christian was 3A a couple years ago and dominated, then they moved up to 4A and won the championship this year, now word is they will move up to 5A (the largest) class either next year or the year after that.

So, it's still early for Christian. His exposure on TV today along the Front Range was a big plus. Hopefully he'll start getting some offers as a Junior, but, even with his skillset and pedigree, I'm not going to hold my breath because we all know the Caste system is like the new "Iron Curtain" for White players, especially White skill players.

He ended up with 306 total yards and 4TDs today on a cold and snowy day.

David Foote with a 54 yard rush, led BYU in rushing today on 2 carries for 61 yards. He is a junior but hasn't seen the field much, every game he has gotten carries he has broken off a run over 20 yards except 1. The most carries he has seen in a game is 5.
