Woodhead is due for a big game. He will score a TD and get 100 yds+ on 14 touches. Hopefully, Hillis has a breakout game.

"Starter" Jerheme Urban is a coaches decision inactive. I hope the Chiefs and liar Todd Haley go 0-16.

Looks like I'm the one who could use a little help this week. The link I have is insufficient. If anyone has a good one, PM me.

IMO, the Browns damaged Hillis's explosiveness and effectiveness when they shut down his hurdling. He was much better when that was an option for him. Now he gets ankle-tripped going through the line on about 50% of his carries.

An 11 minute drive to open the game by Houston, culminating in a TD pass from Schaub to Daniels.

when did they shut down his hurdling?
Ive noticed that to, hes getting hit low before the los, and manages to fall forward for 3 to 6 yards. It shouldn't be big deal just to have a little jump over a defender

For the Saints fb Jed Collins gets a goal line touch for a td. Brock Bolen has had a reeption for the Jags and has been split out wide quite a bit.

After his last hurdle last season. He fumbled the ball in the air (the only time when he fumbled during a hurdle, btw). There was a ton of criticism directed at Hillis. That was the last time he ever attempted it. He hasn't been the same since.

Connor Barwin with a sack of Big Ben. A few plays before, Barwin had sacked Ben and caused a fumble that was recovered by Houston, but the refs came up with a late defensive penalty, didn't even say who the supposed culprit was when he announced it.

The had Hillis in there if im not mistaken, had him fake up the middle which allowed Hardesty some separation. Too bad the roles weren't reversed, Hillis is a great receiver. Hardesty hasn't shown much running the ball, if there isn't a crease then he gets stuffed.

Vick just avoided some heavy pressure and made a TD pass, causing thick tongued Shannon Sharpe to absurdly announce, "Michael Vick is the only quarterback in the history of the NFL who could have made that play." I think I'll turn the sound off for the rest of the day. . .

Andre Johnson just went down like his knee gave out. If so it means more opportunities for Walter, Daniels, Casey, Dressen, and maybe Anderson and Maehl.

The coach is pulling Hardesty any time the running gets tough, inflating his ypc, so he inserts him on 1st and 10 where the defense is expecting pass and he gets a 4 or 5 yard gain, this happened the last series where it dropped to 3.8 and then put in on an easier play, ypc back up to 4. Now its down to 3.3

James Harrison gets some of his own medicine. Big helmet collision has him seeing stars.

Hillis is leading the team in rushing and has shown more ability than Hardesty. Shurmur would be run out of town if he was put at fullback anymore than a few snaps, he can't run block like an NFL fullback, hes lost the weight needed, and wasn't great at run blocking in the first place. I would agree with fullback in a splitback set, the same way Riggins was a fullback and John Taylor, Jim Brown etc. They had the formation in the beginning and was also splitback when Hardesty had the 27 yard reception.

If you're going to run an 4th and 1 and not use Hillis.... you a racist joke of an NFL coach. Shurmer and his "scheme" is horrible and he won't last more than two years in Cleveland because he will lose games catering to less-skilled black players like Hardesty.

Even when Hillis gets carries, they're just short yardage dives. Shurmur has his name attached to all the 3rd and 1 plays. They don't let him carry the ball on any run plays to the outside. And there hasn't been a single wide toss all season (Peyton's best play).

true, that is frustrating, all of his plays have been up the gut, hard to break off a big one, they did run him once on a stretch play which he had a nice gain on. Compared to last week with Hardesty they ran mostly stretch plays. I can kind of understand not running the toss, they would usually have Steinbach pull and he was deadly on those, but no stretch plays as well is ridiculous. Im sure they could find a way for some toss plays without Steinbach as well.

He would eventually break a big one up the gut if teams had to respect the run to the outside, but hes been hit at the los on almost all run plays. Can't just run inside all day and expect something different. They compliment each other.

Now it probably doesn't matter being that they are down 21 to 6, they will come out passing. Hopefully he can get up to at least 70 yards rushing, at the rate he is at now he will need around 70 yards a game to break the 1k mark.

CLE with a dreadful first half as TEN leads 21-6. Fans booing the team off the field as they leave. The announcers are very surprised and openly question why Peyton Hillis has not been utilized so far and Hardesty has seen most of the action. When even the caste kool-aid drinking announcers wonder about this, you realize what BS this is.
