Mark Richt started 5 Whites from '05-'09 and 6 last year. This year looks to be much uglier as Georgia looks to start an inexcusable 2 Whites.

It is worth mentioning that UGA has had some great White special teams talent in K Blair Walsh and P Drew Butler. I'm listing some Whites who are on the UGA roster below. Some may get playing time in the future, but I won't be optimistic.

QBs Hutson Mason and Parker Welch, RB Wes Van Dyk, WRs Michael Bennett and Rhett McGowan, TE Arthur Lynch, RTs Zach DeBell and Hugh Williams, RGs Watts Dantzler, Josh Parrish and Ben Reynolds, Cs Kolton Houston, Hunter Long, Ty Frix and Billy Johnson, LGs Dallas Lee and John Bodin, and LT Austin Long.

Whites on the defensive roster include DE Matthew DeGenova, NT Candler Cook, ILBs Kosta Vavlas, Jeremy Sulek and Jason Veal, OLB Chase Vasser is likely to get playing time, Connor Norman is a rare White CB (even as a backup) in the SEC, fellow "CB" Blake Sailors (resident WSTD), CB Eric Elliot (listed as a FS on the UGA roster), SSs Lucas Redd, Kyle Brock and Austin Herod.

Offense
QB Aaron Murray
C Ben Jones

You drunk White jaw-juh fans should really re-think your "allegiance" to a team that so obviously despises you and everyone like you.

Wow! What's the least amount of starters any team ever previewed has had? I'm almost definite that it's two. Won't be long before we see one of these SEC have a coal black starting offense and defense.

Several teams have started just 2 Whites over the past 7 seasons. That is the low point, for now. I hope it remains the low point and things get better, but teams like Georgia prove that even horribly dark teams can get even darker.

Thanks for posting CR. That's indeed unexcusable. However, I think Connor Norman has a chance for reps at Safety (possibly CB) this year. Ben Jones is a beast a Center...has been since HS.

Dixie, I hope you are right about Connor. The depth chart I saw (Phil Steele) has him listed 5th at CB. I don't listen to sports radio very much and I don't really keep up with UGA so I could be using outdated or incorrect info.

Of all the names on defense mentioned...only LB Chase Vasser is on scholarship; DE-Jeremy Longo was; but injuriesended his career...the rest are walk-on's(or latest fancy term prefered walk-on)

Connor Norman coming out of HS was a 4.39 according to Scout

Ben Jones wasn't scared to mix it up against dirty Nick Fairley....

As a little kid Georgia seemed to be an SEC team that liked their white DB's into the late 80's...Woerner; Hoage; Kirby Smart; Muschamp; Vincent...few others may of missed...and now I can't remember a white starter on D since A-A DE-David Pollack...who began career as FB....

The near total dismissal of White defensive talent by so many teams is criminal. Pollack was the last White defensive starter back in '04.

Why is it that the red states seem to have all the black players. I might have to stop voting republican if this continues. Personally I pray these wildfires head east.

First off I don't agree with you that all red states have all the black players. Certainly there is a correlation in the South where the main population of blacks have always lived. Forget about red and blue state political thinking and you'll do yourself a huge favor. Also, I don't see how wildfires in the South would help the caste system. Even in jest I don't appreciate your "Southern destruction" scenarios.

Good points 22. Hoage was the best DB UGA ever had & Pollack the best defensive player...yet no starter on D since Pollack graduated.

Georgia's Benedict, Florida's Martin are transferring

http://eye-on-college-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/24156338/30279734

Even after the loss of Benedict (and fellow transferee A.J. Harmon, and ACL victim Trinton Sturdivant), the Bulldogs have enough talent and experience to weather the storm on their depth chart -- if their projected starting lineup can stay healthy and productive. But after the past few seasons of underachievement up front, that's a big "if," and one on which the fate of the SEC East might rest.

From the above, it sounds like Sturdivant injured his ACL AGAIN..

A.J. Harmon was a "black superman" at Guard. With all the White back-ups that Colonel posted, minus Benedict now, it's hard for me to see Georgia starting 4 blacks on the O-line. It could happen, though, and if it does, it will be pure AA.. but I have some optimism that two Whites will start the season-opener on the line!

A lot of those White O-linemen I listed are pretty far down the depth chart. At the positions where they have lost players, the Whites with the best chance of playing time (imho) are Dallas Lee at LG and either Dantzler, Parrish or Reynolds at RG.

I'm hoping that they'll move Kolton Houston back to Guard. Build-wise, he looks like a Clint Boling-clone.

Here's hoping that Boise State comes to the Georgia Dome and kicks Historically Black UGA's ass in the first game of the season.......that would make my season from the gitgo.....and I graduated from Georgia

I'd be fine with both of those scenarios!

Thanks Dixie Destroyer! BTW enjoy you post in political threads as well!

What I don't get...Georgia's D Coordinator was fired after 10'....how's that possible with a perpetualcoal-black defense??Doesn'tthis =the Winning Formula??Not even one white player to be a "lightning-rod" for dwf's tobash on??...so it's gotta be the coaches fault?? Right?Ole Miss & Louisville have been the same...horrible to sometimes inconsistent at best... You gotta mix some salt with the pepper IMO!

So for anytrolls hollering racism...I'm not asking for the Dawgs or any other team from the southto resemble BYU...but asking for 2, 3, 4 or 5 white starters on defense should not be out-of-bounds; would still it get your D coordinator fired?? True the south is home to the "black" belt; still should it be this out of balance??

I guess there will always be room for the WSTD's with "prefered" walk-on status...sincetheir family's probably have money and do not need a full paid scholarship??

TwentyTwo, I understand the point you are making about the all black defenses. Besides the obvious truth that these "affletic" defenses aren't as good as everyone claims, Richt was getting some heat last year and I believe he fired his D-Con to deflect a bit of it. If they do poorly again this year, he may be gone.

Good analysis CR. Richt canned Martinez because he pretty much "had" to. I think Grantham's scheme might work better, but marginally so...as the affletes don't have the mental horsepower to execute it flawlessly.

22, I'd say 5-6 White starters on offense & 3-4 on defense isn't asking too much (for an SEC school).

Brent Benedict has left Georgia because he says he needed a change. I believe it was be cause wasn't given an oppurtunity to land a starting role. How is a player that is ranked in the top 50 coming out of highschool not starting for your school if his knee is completely healthy which according to Brent it is. Georgia is becoming a school that I am starting to detest because of their love for the affroletes. I hope Boise State goes in their, and whoops that schools behind. That would set an example for the whole college football season in my humble opinion. I mean come on dumb white fans your beloved Georgia has virtually no players that you can identify with so why support that school with your money or attendance to their mostly dark games?

Wonder where Benedict will end up?? Yeah Richt is on the hot seat..the season opener vs Boiseshould beinteresting!..wonder what the line for the gamewill be??

The Dawgs may have missed their chance with impactplayers on defense in Class of 12'; home-grown talents DT-Dakota Ball & LB-Dillon Lee...BOTH have already committed to Alabama

DE-Chase Thomas(from Ga)a starter for Stanford could be playing in the SEC!

Hated to see Athlete-Logan Gray transfer...hoping Michael Bennett can climb up the depth chart!

Hey look another affrolete who can't go to class. Their going to have to start a true freshman could a white walk on actually carry the ball in a game for the Bulldogs this year. If that happens the world may very well end. I bet they would let a fat black out of shape offensive lineman run the ball before a white athlete who walked on. However their is a white walkon I believe who is now 3rd string. Here is the story brought to you be BSPN. I'm sure the tears were flowing when the writer had to report on this tragedy lol. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6749969Edited by: White Power

First Ealey and now King! Wow! Twill be interesting to see what happens with the RB situation over the course of the season. With such a sumo-dominated line, they probably will have serious problems running the ball. I just can't see Richt starting Wes Van Dyk, 2010's Outstanding Special Teams award winner. I hope he does end up getting some carries, but it is hard for me to imagine him getting decent/regular carries. If it does somehow happen, this will be an even more extreme situation than UAB/Dan Burks.

Colonel they have a BYU transfer Alex Parsons who is another running back on their roster. I remember him being white, but I could not find a picture of him. I think that would make two white running bakcs in the mix for carries. Can someone find a pic of Parson's? Because I really would like to know if he is as I remember.Edited by: White Power

[h=1]Georgia OLB Cornelius Washington arrested in Jackson County for DUI[/h]12:04 pm October 2, 2011, by Chip Towers
Georgia starting outside linebacker Cornelius Washington was arrested for DUI and speeding last night near Commerce.

A police spokesperson confirmed that Washington, 22, was booked into the Jackson County Jail on those charges overnight Sunday. Washington posted a $3,500 bond and was released. No other information was provided.
UGA spokesman Claude Felton said, “Coach Richt is aware of it. No other news as of now.â€￾
Washington’s arrest is the first of a football team member for 2011. The standard athletic association punishment for a misdemeanor arrest is a suspension for 10 percent of competition. That would mean Washington will likely miss at least this Saturday’s game at Tennessee.
Washington was coming off the best game of his career. The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder junior from Hephzibah had two sacks and four tackles in Georgia’s 24-10 win over Mississippi State on Saturday. With a team-high 3.5 sacks on the season, he would have been counted on heavily in next Saturday’s game against against the Vols, who lead the SEC in passing.
