Christophe Lemaitre "White Lightning" 9.92 and 19.80!

Twisen9 0.158 for Lemaitre in 200 is really great. Lemaitre is improving so much in it, very good.

FastEuro perhaps nobody know the future for Lemaitre, but im sure that if Bolt does not have injuries the next year is impossible that Lemaitre defeat to Bolt in 200m in London. Really in 100 is a lot of easier defeat to Bolt(Reaction time, first 30m,if you make bad this one, you can lose. In 200 it is not very important). But if Bolt is in good shape, impossible too in 100(we will see the next races for know real shape of Bolt for Daegu)

In Paris Lemaitre will run 200 with Bolt, he should to try to be a few near of Bolt, because if he get it he will make sub20 easily, because Bolt i think that he can make 19.5-19.7 in Paris.

Ummm well Twinsen9 perhaps yes 19.7x very very optimistic hehe, but well i see if he has positive wind last 100m and good weather i see a possible 19.8x-19.9x if Lemaitre run really well. And he will have to big Usain Bolt for motivation and to try run near him...

Before ummm in Lausanne(fast track i think) big duel 100m with Asafa(i hope that jamaican is good and not injuried for big fight) hehe,im optimistic, new record france 9.94 or 9.93 with good conditions weather and wind

Not sure Christophe can go much sub 20 at this stage of his development. I may be wrong (hope I am) but he hasn't shown he can negative split a 200 yet.
With his better bend running this season he should still give sub20 a shove in good conditions but 19.90s may be it at present

Ummm in Paris no 100, only 200 in the evets, so you want tell 9.90 in first 100m in curve?it would be impossible, Lemaitre can make first 100m curve in 10.2-10.3 being optimistic.

I haerd a interview of the president of the French federation of athletics. He said the number of kid coming to athletics has increase a lot since Lemaitre is running. Of corse he didn't say if there was more white athletes

No problem Lisa D. Anytime. Good to see you posting again. Your insight is always a welcome thing at this board. I often wish we would attract more female posters. White women need to know what the discrimination that goes on in sports and also in all aspects of society.<div></div><div>One thing to remember. It has been said before. Christophe is no where near his physical maturity yet but he is still capable of averging a sub 10 already for his 10 fastest times. The sub 20 should have happened already but the weather wasn't right. It will happen very soon. The point I'm making is that he will be capable of so much more with the next 4-6 years or longer as his body matures. It was also noted in another article that had he grown up in the city around alot of blacks, he might have never gotten the opportunity. This is also very true as kids are bullied and intimidated. That combined with the later physical maturity lead to most not running as fast times at the same ages. Hence most white sprinters coming out of white states(US) or out of countries in Europe. This needs to change. The hardest part is changing peoples perceptions and breaking the age old stereotypes.</div>
