I just wanted to statrt a new thread where every time a good up and coming white player emerges he is always compared to a black player. Why wosent Jerry Rice called a black Lance Alsworth? I know Philly wr Riley Cooper is new but I think we should start calling black players named after talent white lpayers so Houstons wr Andre Johnson is a poor mans Riley Cooper. Cooper is the same size but has elite speed and Johnson in a fair world couldint hold a candle to him.

This is the opposite of reality. White players are almost always compared to other white players.

I agree with sport historian. White players are always compared to other white players even if there are no similarities aside from skin color.

Indeed, SuperSpeed. People are constantly comparing Jimmer Freddette to Adam Morrison, despite the fact they share nothing alike except their skin color.

All I am saying is lets start comparing black players to good white players and tell your friends and coworkers about it. Darren Sprowles is a poor mans Wes Welker when it comes to quickness for example. If we start telling DWFs friends or whoever about stuff like this in casual conversation maybe the caste system of thinking will break among a few people. Remember a decade ago when the great black hope tiltle would have been laughed at by maybe even a few of us? <div>I had a coworker 5 years ago talking about boxing in the lunch room and I jumped in to let him know that whites are now dominating boxing. He absolutely gave me the look of death. I told him the top five weight categories from heavy weight to middle weight were dominated by whites or Europeans. His response was " Oh yeah, well all the best boxers are playing football right now ". Wow. What the hell does football have to do with throwing punches? DWFs see more blacks in football and basketball and assume they can just adapt to any sport which dosent neccesarily require great speed or jumping ability and though I see more black guys making highlight dunks than whites its probably becasue there are more of them in sport and yet I see the Plumlee brothers, John Leur of Wisconsin, Eric May of Iowa, Kyle Kuric of Louisville and many others doing what most DWFs dont think they can do. You dont need great quickness or leaping ability to be a good basketball player. So we should start getting it out in more casual conversation about rbs like Ron Dayne being a poor mans Peighton Hillis. The quicker this black superiority myth gets debunked will slowly see more whites getting into the pro ranks of football and basketball. Maybe 10 years from now coaches from Florida State will take a chance on a white cornerback without having his eyes clouded becasue of a bad stereotype.</div>

-- also, in rare instances where a White athlete may be compared to a Black athlete, the qualifier of "He's like a White _____" precedes the Black athlete's name, i.e., "He's like a White Jerome Bettis", with the tacit understanding that the White athlete being compared is an inferior version.

Black athletes are very rarely if ever compared to White athletes because of the caste media's successful brainwashing of people into thinking that such a comparison would be tantamount to accusing the Black player of being unathletic.

Thus, no Black basketball players are called a "Black Larry Bird". Even if it's meant as a compliment because the Black athlete is clutch and a good leader, there's still an implication that Larry Bird is slow and not athletic.

If a Black player is meant to be complimented for his clutch play, he will be compared to another Black athlete who is reliable in such situations.

How many Black basketball players are compared to John Stockton? He's clearly one of the top five point guards of ALL TIME, yet to compare a Black athlete to him would be calling the Black player slow and stodgy.

Well there it is.

The dumbest comparison I ever heard of was comparing Kevin Curtis to Wayne Chrebet. Chrebet was a slot receiver and Curtis is a deep threat. How are their games similar?

When Austin Collie was coming out he was compared to Wes Welker, in recent years a number of white wide receivers have been compared Welker, regardless of their height, skill set, and measurables. Seriously how do some of these "sports writers" have jobs? Many are lacking football IQ and knowledge, but then again that is probably why they are there in the first place. They follow the foundation that has been laid down for them. I thought in America people were encouraged to think outside of the box?? Except when it comes to questioning the lack of white players in the NFL, yet every year there is an article or two complaining there are not enough blacks in the MLB. Hypocrties..Edited by: celticdb15

I would also like to add that right before the 2011 NFL Draft I read the pro football weeklys draft book and Im not making this up...every white OL. DL, Linebacker and Safety under the negatives were either " Tightly wound, stiff in the hips, or some type of rigidity". EVERY PLAYER. From Chris Conte to JJ Wyatt. How do whites even get out of bed when are hips dont allow us to walk without taking baby steps? Its just amazing. Even white corners in the past were mostly regarded as not looking fluid in backpedaling or coverage. Riiiiight! I think people have such a bad thought ingrained in there head that they see what they want to see. Its amazing how many black corners fall down when coming out of their back pedal or lose speed when they change directions. Its also amazing to note that Cornerback in my best opinion is about short area quickness except on the rare post route. How many whites do I see always having the better short shuttle time in high school recruiting combines? Theres a lot. I see so many whites running sub 4 in the short shuttle where the few best black times are around 4.3. Just crazy.

Good observation, we haven't talked about it much lately but one of the original reasons for Castefootball was to point out the "swivel-hip/tight-hip" racial sterotype. It's a great myth for the caste-whores because they refuse to use logic when talking about it. You can argue with a guy that the white guy has better speed in the 40, better lifts in the bench press, better shuttle cone times, but to the DWF (drunk white fan) loose hips in a non-measureable skill and only blacks have it. End of story. Thus white guys can never play cornerback in the NFL, even if they have superb measureables, even if they starred in the postion in college, but since they cannot have loose hips because they are white they are banished to safety.

The slot position should be renamed the "Welker". Every white receiver, no matter how tall, how fast, or how well he played the outside in college, will be projected to be a slot receiver in the NFL. And will be said to remind the commentator of Wes Welker. It's actually so stupid that it's funny.

It is similar to every good white basketball player being labelled the next Larry Bird. We used to talk about how much that pissed Keith Van Horn off who got that label coming out of college despite the fact that his game was nothing like Birds' and was a tremendously athletically gifted player.

There have been a few white players that supposedly have these magical "loose hips." Luke Staley, Kevin Curtis, and Jeremy Bloom come to mind off the top of my head.

From what I've seen hips don't get any looser then Danny Woodhead. So I think it's something that is more noticible in small guys and since the NFL has a "no small white guys" policy in general it would appear to the casual observer that black guys have all the hip swivel.

No, what they have is all of the small guy slots.

Heard during a conversation between two DWF's "who's the welker in that formation?"

Football has often had a special name for certain postions, at my high school we called the free safety a "wolfback" and I've heard positions referred to as "monster" "scatback" etc. so why not "welker"??

That is true about certain positions getting special names. Superback is one I've been hearing for the last several years.

Just what is the point? Cultural Marxists treat the word "stereotype" as a lie. In fact, a stereotype is based on reality.

Stereotypes are often based in some element of truth but they aren't always true. Sometimes they aren't even close to being true and are based on ignorance. The truthfulness of them often depend on what the stereotype is. I find it interesting which stereotypes are PC to discuss and which ones aren't.

For decades now, liberals have denounced as a "stereotype," the true facts about black crime rates. In proper context, a stereotype is based on reality.

If you are going to say something is not true, don't use the word "stereotype."

I agree with what you are saying, sport historian. The problem lies in dealing with the folks who don't see it that way. Trying to re-educate them is tough.

Here's an article about Browns linebacker Joe Schobert discussing racial stereotypes of white linebackers. I couldn't access the entire article but it shows that the subject is being discussed.

(The "attached file" has nothing to do with my post. It was accidental and I don't know how to remove it. Ignore it.)

Browns linebacker Joe Schobert hopes to use 'stereotypes' to his ...

Found this in an article about "shithole countries," quoting a black African scholar. It perfectly describes one of the main differences on average between White athletes and black ones. Selfishness based on jealousy vs. teamwork.

In a paper titled Does Africa Need a Cultural Adjustment Program?, Etounga-Manguelle quipped controversially that “The African works to live but does not live to work.” Another of his off-the-cuff remarks: “African societies are like a football team in which, as a result of personal rivalries and a lack of team spirit, one player will not pass the ball to another out of fear that the latter might score a goal.” Etounga-Manguelle was referring to what he perceives to be the culture of envy. . .
