This is great news! I hope BYU can pull off a MWC tourney win and make some real noise in the NCAA tourney. Way to go, Jimmer!

simply an amazing performance by Jimmer.of late, he's been plagued with turnovers, but last night he hadonly 2 to go along with 4 assists.

[tube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHhdGdUGkTc[/tube]

overlooked in the Jimmer-mania was the highly productive game of backcourt mate Jackson Emery: 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, and ZERO turnovers. Emery has to be considered one of the top two or three defenders at the guard position in the NCAA.

it was also nice to see Kyle Collinsworth making some plays. the highly athletic big guard finished with a team-high 9 rebounds to go along with 11 points (on 5-6 shooting).

Looking at the TV Highlights....I do not see ESPN or ESPN2 covering the MWC Championship today??? WHY? However I do see the MAC, Big West, WAC, Southland all will be telecast...I'm not understanding this?

The kid continues to amaze everyone. I would love to see BYU make the Final Four. I don't want his college career to end. Who knows what is in store for him once he hits the NBA. All we can do is hope for the best. He needs to go to Utah or Minnesota in my opinion.

Every single scouting report I have read on Jimmer states that he's too slow to create his own shot at the next level. I sure hope that's not the case. He's certainly a standout on the college level but we'll see how good he is in the NBA. I just hope he doesn't pan out like Adam Morrison who was terrible in the pros.

The problem with the NBA is the same as the problem White athletes have in the NFL, a lack of opportunity. If they never get a decent shot at playing time, they can't showcase their talents.

SDSU beat BYU for the Mountain West Conference Title. Hopefully Fredette and the Cougars will win in the upcoming tournament.

Honestly the way Fredette played today was awful, he forced shots, looked lazy on defense, missed free throws, and flat refused to pass the ball. And he still put up 30 pts. 6 rbs. 2 ast. 4 to. It's nights like this when you realize how ridiculously talented the kid is, he was guarded all night by 6-8 Billy White, and 6-7 Kawhi Lenonard regularly double teamed and still shot 10-25 from the floor. He was fouled going to the rack two or three times that I counted that were not called. He looked a little tired, understandable considering what he did last night. He had a move in the second half where he had a right to left crossover that left Mr. White a good two feet behind him, then slipped the help defender to finish at the rack what should have been an and 1. He has all the moves and athleticism to make it in the NBA. That being said he will have to change his game, less contested shots, passing to the screener on a pick and roll, and driving more often. He can and will do it. I hope he ends up in Minnesota. It would be great to see a team with the major contributors being white.Edited by: chris8812

I'm not sure who the clowns were on ESPN's "College Basketball Final" studio show, but one of them (all were white) just mocked Jimmer and the whole panel shared a hearty laugh at his expense. The first moron said "you can easily go around Jimmer", which elicited the laugh. Dope #2 said that recently booted negrolete Davies spent the entire season "cleaning up Jimmer's messes".
I abandoned college basketball a long time ago, but I've taken a slight interest in Fredette, due to this community's enthusiasm. As long as the enemy controls the message, we will always be on the losing side.

Speaking of ESPN, I was watching the UConn-Lousville game tonight and one of the best players for the Cardinal, Kyle Kuric, did not touch the ball in the 2nd half if I recall correctly. Lousville's afflete guards kept driving and forcing shots while completely ignoring the wide open Kuric on the corner or elsewhere in the perimeter. The only reason it was a close game was because UConn did not score a basket for about 7 minutes in the 2nd half. Lousville should've won by double digits, but I'm glad they lost, considering their productive white players became non-factors thru no fault of their own. It still sucked to see slavemaster Jim Calhoun and his band of thugs win the tourney. Calhoun is almost as bad as John Thompson when it comes to being a hardcore anti-white racist. His teams tend to feature a token white or two, but for the most part, they have always been coal black.

And someone check announcer Bill Raftery's pants because throughout that broadcast, this despicable homosexual must have had multiple orgasms as he was literally drooling over numerous negros on both teams. It was sickening to say the least.

I'm afraid this year's tourney is not going to be a good one from the CF perspective. A lot of the black teams seem to be getting hot at the right time, while the relatively white teams are not playing their best basketball. I just hope either BYU, ND, or Wisconsin make a deep run, but it doesn't appear very likely. I don't care much about Duke anymore because their two black guards seem to be doing all the ball-hoggin, leaving the white players out cold. As soon as the whiter teams are out, I'll stop watching.

Sad to see BYU lose, but they weren't playing good team basketball. I hope they at least make the Elite 8. I wonder if anything would have changed in the BYU game if Jimmer's 3 right before the half would have been a tad earlier and been counted instead of being waved off. Oh well.

How typical that the picture at the top of the article reads "Jimmer Fredette and Emery Jackson." At least they got Jackson's name right in the text.

My prediction for tomorrow nights game.
Erving Walker is the starting 1 for the gators. He dominates the ball, he will be guarded Jackson Emery. I have every confidence in Emery's ability to make him shoot a very poor percentage He is a 5' 8"171 Jr. who play's well within the offence when they have a lead and he is not pressed on the other side of the ball. However when the game is in the balance, has a tenancy to force passes and take poor shots. That coupled with the pressure of Emery's on the ball D should turn him into strictly a jump shooter. He dose have the ability to get hot, should be a very interesting match up.

Charles Abouo basically negates anything that 6' 2"175 Fr. Scottie Wilbekin can do. Wilbekin comes off the bench and plays solid ball when he is on the court.

Kenny Boynton 6' 2" 183 So. also a solid player with the ball in his hands, shoots the ball better then Walker in my opinion. And with Parsons may just end up forcing BYU to abandon their zone and play man D and I alluded to above. If that is the case there will be one mismatch on the D side, Fredette can not guard either Boynton, or Walker. D is not his strong point, whoever he can make who ever guards him work so hard on D that it may just negate their effectiveness on O.

Chandler Parsons 6' 10"215 Sr. is a match up nightmare for BYU. One of the most gifted swingman in the country with unlimited range he attacks the hoop with purpose and passes out of the lane better then anyone in the tourney not named Craft. He single handedly could force BYU out of the zone, he reminds me of a poor mans Magic Johnson. With the only real difference being his scoring, Parsons has such an excellent all around game that he could be the determining factor in who wins this game. His tournament stats average 32 Min. per 41%FG 1Stl. 6Rbs. 7.5Asst. 8.5Pts. If those numbers translate to the NBA with the shorter shot clock and all, he could average a Triple Double. But that is a conversation for another posting.

Parsons is the only player that combines both the size and athleticism necessary to bother Fredette. That being said he is not quick enough to do anything other then force Jimmer into tough shots, we all know how Jimmer does with those.

If BYU can stay in their zone, and not be forced to go to man to man. Jimmer Fredette will put up 40+.

My prediction is BYU 77 Fla. 72.
With Parsons and Fredette leading the way for both of their respective teams.

you guys have probably heard about the idiot BYU student named Michelle who posted an anti-Fredette letter in their student newspaper and then on her facebook page. the response was hilarious. you can see the humorous responses here. there are a LOT of them.

and for some more Jimmer-inspired fan fun ...

the fan appreciation for Fredette should show the Powers That Be that fans are starving for White athletes to support. which probably means the PTB will only try harder to prevent any future Fredettes from coming on the scene.

as for chris8812's scouting report above, i'd like to make a couple of comments ...

the best analysis i've heard about Florida's Erving Walker came from an SEC commentator. "On any given night, he can keep both teams in a game."
smiley36.gif

and as for Chandler Parsons ... i've watched many of Florida's games this year (the SEC is televised in my region of the country), and he frequently guards the opposing team's quickest guard. he has "deceptive" quickness, i guess.
smiley2.gif
i'm interested to see if Parsons draws the assignment of guarding Jimmer, or if the Gators will go with a committee approach of (the much smaller) Walker, Boynton, and affletic (non-scoring threat) Wilbekin. the latter approach (sans Wilbekin) failed in the last NCAA Tourney when Walker was run ragged, and having Wilbekin on the floor just kills Florida offensively.

as for the whole "Fredette" doesn't play defense bit, don't buy into the hype. he's not Jackson Emery (or Aaron Craft), but he's no pushover either. none of the guys this year who were "gonna go at Fredette" have had big nights that i can recall. the game, in my opinion, will come down to who gets more help from their teammates, Parsons or Fredette, because i expect both of them to play well.

one last thing, yesterday (March 22, 2011) Fredette was named the Sporting News Player of the Year. so i'm going to post the honors he'sreceived so far, just to recap.

Wow what an amazing list, any other black player would be a lock for the top spot!

@Jimmy, I should have made what I meant to say a little clearer. I don't think that Jimmer can't play D. I agree and don't think he is elite as you also said. What I think is that the game plan specifically call's on him to play less aggressive on defense to conserve energy to carry the team on the other side of the ball. I have seen a lot of BYU this year, and of course I love Fredette, but my one knock on him is that he seems disinterested at times on the defensive side of the ball. I don't think he is unable, or unwilling. I just think that it's all part of the Game plan/Coaching strategy. Boynton and Walker are both quite exceptional players in their own right. Should be very interesting to see how they handle Emery's press and BYU's zone.Edited by: chris8812

Man, what a great photo! Over at Yahoo they are going nuts about it. Sports Illustrated maybe knows the score. Put great White Athletes on your cover like the Packer key players and sell more copies. Hope Jimmer and BYU go very far in the NCAA tornament.

Very true. I have heard the coaches on the radio specifically say what you just did. Since Jimmer expends some much energy on offense, the strategy is to hide/rest Jimmer on defense. He plays no defense by design.

Yesterday, Kevin Blackistone was filling in for Mike Wilbon on ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption." Tony Kornheiser was very impressed with the leaping ability displayed by Jimmer on the SI cover"¦Blackistone vehemently claimed that the image was "fake" and "photoshopped."

Right, because it's common knowledge that unreadable, ultra-anti-white publications such as "Sports Illustrated" are hell-bent on making white male athletes appear physically superior. If anything, the image was edited specifically to reduce the magnitude of Jimmer's jumpshot.Edited by: Thrashen

I wish Jimmer would throw down a dunk in a game on a break away. Just to show people that he can dunk. It's not really part of his game and he doesn't need to but I would like him to do it just to shut people up. Maybe when he works out for a few teams, he might throw a few dunks down. His vertical is pretty good if you ask me. I'm not saying he is a big time dunker but he is alot more athletic than they give him credit for. What an awesome pic!
