Early look at 2011 NFL draft

On Cam Newton:
Blaine Gabbert is a better prospect than him and arguably Christian Ponder. Looker has disappointed me with his accuracy and his ability to win big games and I see him as the 4th best QB- although he has that term usually exclusively used on afroletes "upside". Production is an important measuring stick and Cam Newton was very productive like Tebow with a high completion percentage and won a BCS championship. Like Tebow, he didn't go past a second read in college before taking off running, but Tebow has made good, so far, with showing his potential in the NFL. Tebow is a little more accurate than Newton on long throws (it's close though), but both showed good accuracy on short and intermediate throws most of the time. However, both occasionally threw basic passes at receivers feet due to bad mechanics. Both these guys can elude rushers with short area quickness and have good burst and vision for scrambling, but Newton is a bit faster than Tebow. Tebow has a bit of an intelligence edge over Newton and there's no doubt he has a huge character edge over Newton although Newton's issues WEREN'T signs that he's COMPLETE SCUM as far as I know.

I find it ridiculous, that Tebow was listed as a 2nd or even 3rd round pick by many draft "gurus" and Newton is projected to go before the 12th pick by Wienieworld. I'm just glad Tebow ended up being a 1st round pick, even with all the hate.

Like you, I'm sick of the favouritism black QBs get, but think most of you guys are a bit hard with your analysis of them. Even "abysmal EQ" Vince Young, has a 30-17 record as a starter in the NFL (and Vick- despite his scummy past had a great year last year). There may not be a black Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees in the NFL now, but for 13% of the population blacks make a solid impact here.

Please inform me about the laptop and cheating scandals with Newton. I have vague knowledge of these things, but don't know the details, thanks guys. BTW, I will probably just rank the white players this year and project their draft round without the caste system.

On Newton's long completions, it was usually because of "TOTALLY BUSTED" coverage.. and the coverages were very very simple and basic anyways.

Not only that, but there were many other times that receivers' were wide-open, and he threw a terrible pass their way. And, in the SEC Championship game, who can forget the "Lucky Hail Mary" (underthrown pass) that the South Carolina player tipped to the Auburn receiver.. this occurred at the end of the 2nd quarter. "Magic Newton" - indeed. Where was that "magic" against Oregon?

Even with Affirmative Action, NFL secondaries are still more sophisticated and confusing to QBs (especially the darker-hued ones..). They'll put out different looks. And, there are more quality (black) DBs than just Revis and Asomugha. At least around a dozen, maybe a few more than that.... still just a tiny percentage of the whole league.

Not to mention, in the NFL, Newton will have less time in the pocket, period.

These "scouts" must have been the negro scouts who were present at sCam's workout, or the scouts who promoted JaMarcus to No1 in the draft.

Ofcourse, it wasnt sCam who shored up his own value, it is the anti-white media who is "shoring up his value".

These "scouts" must have been the negro scouts who were present at sCam's workout, or the scouts who promoted JaMarcus to No1 in the draft.

Every year the media makes one black quarterback in the draft out to be a franchise quarterback. This is to promote diversity and try and get more bruthas at the position.

Next year it will be Terrelle Pryor who will get all the hype.

Just to clarify: I believe after looking at the film and considering his measurables and intangibles that Chase Reynolds looks like a late 2nd to 3rd round RB in a typical draft year. When I call him a 5th round RB- it means where I think he'd go- being a SMALL SCHOOL player- IF BLACK. This isn't literally ranking the guys without the caste system, b/c Reynolds would probably be playing FBS ball if he was black.

After watching highlights of Minett I'd say his talent puts him as a 5th round to priority FA type RB if he played in the FBS if black and he has more talent than Luke Lipincott. Minnett is a guy who would have a good shot to make a roster or practice squad EVEN AS AN FCS PLAYER if black, but unfortunately he has a huge uphill battle being white.

Guys, I wouldn't get too worked up with all the overhyping of black QB prospects. Tebow already has shown flashes of brilliance and will call BS on those "clear" "scouting" comparison reports. We won't know for sure how Newton will turn out before a couple of years in the NFL (QB is one of the hardest positions to evaluate), but I believe more DWFs are starting to wake up to the favouritism here.

Hillis, Gerhart and Woodhead have already called BS on the whiterivals Lemming house of cards that was holding together a 100% black RB monopoly. If BSPN keeps up with their ridiculous push to make 75% of the top 12 H.S QBs black- each year in a 13% black nation- it will start to push more grassroots organizing of H.S athletes and their families. This is the information and Youtube age. The PTB house of cards and their coverup can only hold fast to sport's fans with low intelligence or loathing minds in these coming years I believe. The tide has begun to turn just a little bit- so keep your heads up!

This is beyond belief for Rotoworld.

Colorado LT Nate Solder

Solder
has on record a 4.88 forty time and 32-inch vertical, both outstanding
measurables for a 6'8/314-pound tackle. He also has seven percent body fat. Possessing nearly 35-inch arms, Solder will be the most athletic, physically imposing lineman at this year's Combine.

Summary: Ryan Kerrigan is hard not to like with so much
production and experience coming out of a major FBS program. His numbers
kept getting better, capped off by a senior campaign with 26 TFL and
12.5 sacks for the Boilermakers. Opinions vary on which scheme suits him
best, and it will depend on the system. He displays the drive required
to adjust wherever he goes. On the downside, his effort might not be
enough at the next level.







Player Comparison: Aaron Kampman. This is a common comparison
because it makes sense. Kerrigan has more hype coming out of the Big Ten
than Kampman (Iowa) did when he was taken in the fifth round, but both
are effort players with a similar build. They also both bring all-around
value at the defensive end position.

It is called "over-achieving" I believe
Lots of effort combined with smarts to compensate for the "obvious" lack of athleticism.
It is how Wariner wins 400M races, and Stefan Holm used to win high jump medals at only six foot tall. Its amazing what a blue collar guy can do with some extra effort. If I didn't know better I would think they were athletic!

What crapola about Kerrigan! He's the #2 DE coming out of the draft (at worst). These caste lackeys never cease w/ their BS rhetoric.

Is there a more reliable Caste Clown than Mike Lombardi? Hmm, Locker's "flaws" will cause him to tumble to the third or fourth round, while despite Cam Newton's flaws he's ascending to the top of the draft board. No agenda at work here.

NFL Network's Mike Mayock has staunchly kept Locker at No. 2 in his quarterback rankings, but those are subject to change if he believes teams are as skeptical of Locker's potential as Lombardi is. Lombardi, of course, was a longtime pro personnel man, learning under Bill Belichick and Al Davis.

Rob Housler ran an impressive 4.55 40 for a tight end. Another white tight end, Jordan Cameron, ran a 4.59.

I was expecting something like this very soon, and the caste media does not disappoint. It's a nice way for them to kill two birds with one stone; try to destroy the white QB while at the same time hyping up the black QB with the water-melon smile. I will never, ever understand this special fascination of these white "men" with the room-brightening smile of the negro afflete, which at times borders on some sort of a sick homosexual fetish of some kind.

Mallet Melts, Newton Shines

INDIANAPOLIS â€" In about an hour's worth of interviews with the media, Arkansas' Ryan Mallett saw his draft stock crumble and Auburn's Cam Newton kept his soaring.

The contrast between how the two quarterbacks handled the media on Saturday at the NFL scouting combine couldn't have been more stark.

There have been whispers around the NFL about alleged drug use with Mallett for months. He came to Indianapolis knowing that the stories were out there and that the questions would be asked. Likewise, Newton came here with the usual questions about the NCAA inquiry into his college career and a new set of questions about his "icon"Â quote.

Mallet walked away from the podium leaving the questions hanging unanswered in a series of bumbling, and sometimes pompous, replies that had reporters shaking their heads. Newton walked to the podium with a statement in hand, pre-empting any questions with a simple, straight-forward explanation.

It's still unclear if either Mallett or Newton will succeed in the NFL, but there was one clear impression left after watching the two speak on Saturday: If you're choosing a leader at quarterback for your football team, Newton is a whole lot closer to being the real deal than Mallett.

Mallett started off defensive and then repeatedly bobbed and weaved his way around the drug questions. He neither denied nor admitted use. Fair or not, some might conclude that the rumors are true.

The very first question in the interview was about the allegations, which shouldn't have been a surprise. But it seemed that way to Mallett.

"First question, huh?"Â Mallett said, perhaps expecting that a bouquet of flowers was headed his direction. He then said, "When I saw that stuff, I laughed about it."Â

After that came a series of further half-baked answers that led to more inquiries.

"I said I'm not going to talk about it here,"Â Mallett said, indicating that he would answer the questions only to NFL teams. Keeping secrets in the NFL about drug use is about as likely as growing palm trees on an iceberg.

Mallett then played the blame game, saying, "Obviously, someone did that for a reason, right before the combine."Â In reality, the rumors about Mallett have been swirling for months.

Then there was this cocky gem of an answer to questions about his decision-making on the field. Many around the NFL have been troubled by Mallett's propensity for big mistakes in critical moments. When asked how he answers those concerns, Mallett said: "Seven thousand-plus yards and 60 touchdowns in two seasons. That's how I respond to that."Â

Jim Druckenmiller, Andre Ware and David Klingler are among dozens of guys who have put up stats like that in college only to do nothing in the NFL.

Still, the daunting question about Mallett came back to the alleged drug use. He stonewalled again and again until he was asked bluntly: "This question isn't going away until you answer. Why not just answer it?"Â

"Because I don't want to talk about it,"Â Mallett said.

Mallett doesn't seem to get it. His biggest problem isn't the nature of the rumor. It's that he wasn't upfront. He wasn't candid. No one was expecting him to detail his problems to the media, if he indeed has them. But at least own up to making mistakes in a general sense if you're not refuting the claims.

If Mallett had said something like, "Yes, I've made mistakes and I'm working to correct them,"Â the questions would largely go away. Instead, Mallett looked like the antithesis of a leader.

In a profession where handling yourself in front of critics â€" sometimes 80,000 of them on a Sunday afternoon â€" is a prerequisite, Mallett flopped.

By contrast, Newton showed up for his interview smiling easily as cameramen flanked each shoulder in front of a standing-room-only throng of reporters. Before he took a question, Newton pulled out the piece of paper with his statement and responded to those who have already wondered if he's already too Hollywood.

"I see myself as an entertainer-slash-icon,"Â Newton told Yahoo! Sports' Dan Wetzel and other select national outlets. That quote prompted plenty of eye-rolling inside and outside the NFL.

Aware of that misstep, Newton headed off the controversy.

"First and foremost, I understand that my obligation is to be the best possible football player that I can be,"Â Newton said. "I know and believe that. The recent comments were made during the announcement of my new endorsement partnership. I was making the point that I want to be the best possible ambassador for them, just like I want to be the best possible ambassador for whatever team I'm lucky enough to play for.

"I'm excited to compete this week and you will see me doing everything possible to be the best possible player that I can be. And first and foremost I'm blessed to be in this whole situation and I couldn't be in a better place than I am right now."Â

With that, the criticism disappeared and Newton flashed his million-dollar grin. Sure, Newton didn't answer questions about the controversies he dealt with at Florida and then Auburn, but he also didn't blame anyone for them. He has been asked plenty of times about those situations and didn't take it as some affront that he was asked again.

Newton gets the big picture. He's comfortable under the microscope. He welcomes the attention and the question.

While there is some balance necessary with that attitude, it's better to have that quality than to spend time fighting the attention.

Yeah, looking at some of the number posted so far whites are doing every bit as good as blacks at the Combine. And this is despite vastly inferior numbers. Amazing! Could it be that black people are not better athletes and the races are actually equal? Nah, can't be! Jeff Maehl ran a combined 4.63 40.
That will likely end his hopes of being drafted.

Locker ran 4.52 and Gabbert ran a 4.61! This years Qb class has some serious speed.

Like last year's mysteriousomission on the NFL.Com list of Toby Gerhart's Top 10 40 time for RB's...ahead of little Dexter McCluster's 4.58?? Mayock &amp; crew had Jake Locker timed at 4.52...yet his official time was just listed 4.59 tied with Cam Newton; who they had running 4.58??

Average RB Combine time was only 4.61 last year..this year looks the same...the announcers just said Craig Cooper looked fast on that run..oh he only ran a 4.66...

Did not see Maehl run...but still think he gets picked in the late rounds..he made a tremendous one handcatch thrown behind him from over-rated quota back Tyrod Taylor...no doubtMaehl belongs; he's a smooth/fluid looking athlete...even if he doesn't pass most dwf's eye-test...

Sanzenbacher, Whalen &amp; Salas also looked impressive in the drills.

This draft was hoping to see three FullbacksOwen Marecic(4.89), Henry Hynoski 257lbs(may have pulled ham in 40;never saw his time?), and Shaun Chapas (only ran 4.94) get a chance as a hybrid John Kuhn type role one day...

Newton had the broad-jump advantage on Tebow; however Tebow's VJ was 38 1/2" compared to Newton's 35

I also like how he cuts .5" off of Lockers height in his spin. 1: Locker is 6'3" according to others at the Combine. 2: Locker is height/weight proportionate, especially for a QB. 6'3", 231lbs is about right. As anyone who has done any form of weight training or bodybuilding knows in athletic pursuits for every inch of height add about ten pounds to the standard weight. According to this spin Locker is pretty standard. To even begin to compare sCam would at 6'5" need to weight MORE THAN 251lbs for this B.S. to even begin to make sense.

As it is the brutha is height/weight proportionate in comparison to Locker and got his ass smoked by the whiteboy. There isn't any spin on it aside from the caste hacks making a mad dash now that their 4.3 40 prediction for sCam never went down and he instead arrived with linebacker speed. Btw, Evan Silva(the author of the spin piece) is from Weenieworld so go figure.

Fullback Anthony Sherman UConn just ran the 40..but his time was NEVER posted on the screen?? Why?...up next Vailala Taua ran...the list him at 4.62??

Jaquizz Rodgers at 5'5 195 pounds ran a 4.64 and 4.67 unofficial. I bet he goes no later than the 4th. Browns fans were screaming for them to pick Rodgers to add a "speed threat" to compliment Hillis. I would love to hear what they have to say now that he timed out slower than Hillis. The typical '40 times don't mean everything", which they don't, but I wish the same rule applied to white athletes.

btw, I highly doubt Newton ran a 4.59, something fishy is up with that, probably more around 4.6-4.62. It just sounds better when it is sub 4.6 because 4.59 will become 4.5 when people talking about him in the future, after he gains 20 pounds of fat in the offseason like Jamarcus they probably will still say "This is an explosive athlete, hes 6'5 270 pounds and ran a blazing 4.5."

The timing process is still not 100 percent electronic from what I recall, someone starts their watch when they see the guy start and then the finish is electronic, that is why the timing varies between unofficial and official. Last year Mays had an unofficial 4.24, then an official 4.43 or something close to that, but when they put them side by side with guys like Holliday, he beat Holliday who was an "official" 4.3something, I know it was around .09 faster time. Of course that was the "controversy" of last year's combine, not the fact that no "official" time ever came out for Toby Gerhart. Scott Wright of nfldraftcountdown who is not very white friendly said all of his people there had him at 4.55. I wouldn't be surprised if Gerhart actually had a 4.49.

Dane Sanzenbacher ran a 4.55 and Salas a 4.57. Hopefully some team takes a chance on Maehl despite is 40 time, the dude has incredible agility. I wonder how he will time in the other drills.

Ryan whalen looked good as well. Would be nice to see him at least picked up as a FA. All the white "fullbacks" looked good in the running and catching drills as well.

Has Whalen's stock dropped that much? Last I remember he was still considered a mid round pick.

Cecil Shorts the "blazer" from Mount Union clocked in at 4.59. I wonder where he will go he was projected as a 3rd to 5th rounder at 6 foot 200 pounds. Yet Nate Kmic couldn't even get a tryout.

Taiwan Jones, the twig rb that played in the same conference as Chase Reynolds, didn't participate in any of the drills, yet Chase didn't get an invite. He was a junior last year and missed a few games due to injury yet will still probably get drafted while Chase is lucky to get a fair tryout.
