Yes but guys like Beaver and Kmic probably have gf/wives and are planning on having families. They can't just hang around and hope for something in the NFL. Luckily, Danny had a girl that is supportive and was willing to move around with him as he waited for a chance. Pretty much all white people will put family first. Look at Abram Booty, dominated SEC competition at wide receiver, given an invite to NFL Europe, declined and now is making 300k a year as Senior Vice President
with Primerica Financial Services. There are many more like him. The injuries to Anthony G and Austin Collie are a blessing in disguise, because who knows how long Blair White wouldve been on the practice squad waiting for a chance, he was planning on going to dental school but pretty much every scout at the combine told him he would be drafted. Kmic and Beaver, they have to worry about the
future, they probably are working on careers and can't just throw it all
away and hope for a shot at getting a chance to make a living playing
football. Not
everyone can spend years like Mike Hass, who got screwed over, was never long enough
on an active roster to receive an NFL pension when he gets older. If it were up to you, and you had a family to worry about or planning on with your spouse, what would you do if you were Kmic or Beaver? I know Kmic is now a coach at Mount Union, not sure about Beaver.

This is the ridiculous part of the caste system. Most of our guys can't just wait years and hope for a chance in the NFL. They can do this in college as walk ons if they can afford it but after that they have to worry about planning for the future. When dwfs ask "where is the white version of x player?" The answer is, probably working some 9 to 5 job.

I would love to see Beaver or Kmic in the NFL though. Kmic seems like he has a better shot, he is only a year removed and is only working as a runningbacks coach at Mount Union, I don't think that is anything permanent. I am not sure what Beaver is doing, but is probably really jaded with the caste system.

I'm happy with the discussion about Beaver and Kmic. White RBs are discriminated no matter what size\style they run at. Black RBs will get PT no matter their size, speed, and talent level. They will always be given first looks. So many DWFS believe blacks are best suited for the position. Truth is there is a plethora of hidden white talent at tailback. It seems more of the top runningback recruits are making it known they want to continue to play the position in college. Danny starting is huge. I hope he can continue to open the doors for other talented guys that deserve to play in the NFL.

Abram Booty is an extreme exception to be making 300k a year in a financial services company. The risk of traveling around, switching teams, etc. is definitely worth the reward if you can make the 319k for even one season in the NFL. How many years teaching, IF you can get a teaching job, would it take to make that?

Honestly most of these guys, even with a college degree, are not doing anything that provides any sort of long term financial security. This is a very different world where even people with 20 years of experience can't find a job in their field. Most are either underemployed, or can't even find a job at all. White people are exceptional at taking risks, going out on a limb, and searching for an opportunity. Look at all the white kids trying to make it in movies, music, TV and modeling. They don't care that the odds are stacked against them. It doesn't phase them that they could be ripped off, not payed, promised a lot and not have it delivered. People literally pack up all their belongings in a couple suit cases and take a bus to L.A., New York, Nashville, etc. They still hope beyond hope and forge forward to try to get their sliver of an opportunity and make the most of it. Odds are their biggest pay day, if it ever comes, is only in the 5 figure range.

The odds of a descent athlete making descent money professionally are significantly higher than all these other kids running around doing anything they can to be noticed in show business. I can't imagine a life of filling out employment applications for Best Buy could be any more appealing than going wherever there may be an opportunity to follow your dream!

Danny Woodhead finished the 2010 regular season with 547 rushing yards on 97 carries with 5 rushing TDs and an amazing 5.6 YPC! He was THE ONLY halfback in THE ENTIRE NFL to have more than 500 yards rushing on less than 100 carries. He also added 379 yards on 34 receptions (11.1 YPCatch) plus 1 receiving TD.

Danny suffered what looks to bea slight concussion today. Hopefully, he'll be 100% in 2 weeks; playoff time.

Danny Woodhead is right behind Peyton Hillis in being the biggest surprise when it comes to White RBs this year! I hope he does well in the playoffs and has an even better year in the 2011 season!

Woodhead was seen joking and laughing with teammates in the 4th quarter of the Miami game. He was given the "concussion test"Â￾ on the sideline (he was never even taken to the locker room) a few minutes after the collision. The training staff supposedly "took his helmet"Â￾ as a precautionary measure. Several reports stated that Woodhead was spotted in the locker room after the game and "was acting totally normal."Â￾ Edited by: Thrashen

Yeah I think it was as precautionary measure. You could tell he wanted to get back in the game after it happened. I think that shows how valuable Bellicheck views Danny for the playoffs. He let Lawfirm run well into the 4th quarter to get his 1,000 yards. It wouldve been nice for Danny to get 1,000 yards from scrimmage.

Yeah, I was watching sportscenter this morning, and several of the hosts said losing Woodhead would be a huge loss for the Pats if the injury was serious.

Danny is probably the fastest\quickest back in the playoffs right now!!! He's definitely a spark plug to the New England offense.

Woodhead picked up the slack and then some from the losses of Faulk and Moss. The Pats offense thrived once Moss was removed and Woodhead was signed, this was hardly a coincidence!

Woody running wild in the Super Bowl would have untold benefits to our cause. The whole world watches the game and most folks don't even know Danny Woodhead exists. Heads all across the globe will be exploding and some high schooler or youngster will take notice and dare to dream. I can't even estimate the amount of times, "Hey look at that little white boy run!" will be shouted on that day. I'm not fond of that derogatory term, but they would be music to my ears on that particular Sunday!

RB Danny Woodhead finished the
season with 97 rushes for 551 yards, with his average of 5.68 yards per
carry setting a new team record (minimum 90 rushing attempts). Woodhead
topped Don Calhoun's previous team mark of 5.59 yards per carry in 1976. <cite id="yui_3_1_2_14_129423451788858">(Yahoo! Sports)

Congrats to Danny for setting the Pats new single season YPC record!

Not bad for an un-drafted, numerously cut, undersized player who lacks athletic ability, a room brightening smile and a lengthy rap-sheet...

Yeh, not to mention speaking proper English and not confusing "th sound" with an "f sound", also not having two huge cubic zarconas in "boff" ears.

But seriously, that is a great stat: 97 rushes for 551 yard, plus the 5.68 YPC! Great stuff to ram into DWFs traps and the Negro haters.

It's a good thing they have an all white offensive line. If the line was made up of sumos the media would be ramming down our throats how the line opened up huge holes for Danny. I'll be pulling for the Patriots to win it all this year.

Me too, wa33. The Packers and the Patriots would be the ultimate Super Bowl, but I'd settle for just having the Patriots win it all, no matter who they play in the SB. I know it seems like the Patriots are unstoppable right now; I just hope that continues through the end of the big game. I would like to at least see the Packers win over the Eagles. Vick and Co. need to be eliminated this week.

I expect Vick to struggle in the playoffs. Even if the Eagles win a game I highly doubt they make the Superbowl. Karma is a bitch and it's about to bite Vick in the ass.

Wow, a double quote of a double post! You don't see that very often. Sorry about the double post, men. My Windows driven laptop has been a little screwy today.

The site was running slow and freezing a bit. That's why we both double posted.

Woodhead (concussion) was a full participant in practice Tuesday, the Boston Herald reports.<em id="yui_3_1_2_14_129480931912649">Recommendation:[/i]
It's looking like Woodhead will be ready to go for Sunday's game
against the Jets, but it's probably best to consider him questionable
until he gets another practice in. <cite id="yui_3_1_2_14_129480931912650">(Rotowire.com)

I cant wait to see Danny show the Jets how ignorant they were for releasing him and never using him in spite of his pre-season success!

GO DANNY AND THE PATS!!!

Here is part of Danny's interview that will be featured on Sunday morning. Yes finally you guys think Peytons 1000 yards have helped white running backs. I hope this link works. http://espn.go.com/
