Oregon isn't too bad from a caste perspective. Basically half white starters anf and a majority white squad.

Good point Deadlift. I think Oregon is going to wear Auburn out physically and win the game.

IMO, what the Oregon and Auburn offenses' try to do is "not new"... they try to throw multiple guys at you, not unlike USC when they had Reggie Bush and Lendale White.

Auburn has Newton, McCalebb and Dyer. Oregon has several "skinny-legged" affletes. Teams' are simply trying to build-up their depth and throw several guys at you. Considering the fact that all you need is 10-yards for a first down, that's not a bad strategy.. use your roster and put fresh-legs onto the field.

The way I see it, though, I doubt that Auburn's defense will ever be great. For whatever reason, these spread teams' rarely have a great defense.

BYU is dominating UTEP, 14-0 in the early going. TD Catches by Ashworth and Jacobson.

On a side note- I plan to start working on the bowl starters again this week.

Yeah, BYU is looking strong. Mendenhall taking over DC duties has made a huge difference. True Freshman Jake Heaps is the real deal.

Great point, Highlander. Jaime Hill was quickly promoted once he got to Provo and it was clear to me all along it was an AA/image type promotion, not necessarily one of merit. I'm glad he's gone and that BYU is doing better on defense. I notice that black WR Cody Hoffman is getting a lot of throws and is returning kicks for the Cougars. I wonder if he'll be the next O'Neill Chambers/Todd Watkins/Dan Coats career disappointment?

Yes indeed..Jake Heaps is showing why he was so highly recruited! A 19 year old QB becoming a leader with a bunch of 23-24 year old players...

DiLuigi is having a nice game...on pace to have a 100 yard rushing game; did drop two passes...was compared to Sproles and Woodhead earlier...good to see Danny getting props at the national level now!

So Cal
BYU hammered an affeletic flavored UTEP team today. Yes, Diluigi is explosive. He missed 100 yards by 2. Great win for BYU, considering how the season started for them. Hopefully they build on this like Stanford did this year.

Northern Illinios smacked Fresno St 40-17...NIU QB Chandler Harnisch had 300 yds passing 1TD & 67 yds rushing 2 TD's (including a 28 yarder)...

What happened to Devon Wylie the 4.25-4.29 man?? Did he ever shake the injury??

What a tragedy for Ohio burner Riley Dunlop to have been handicapped by black quarterback 'Boo' Jackson his entire career. This guy could've been a high draft pick on a different team.

He's still got one more year to post some solid numbers. Unfortunately, he'll be at the mercy of another, Phil Bates, Afro-gunslinger.

Amazing one-handed catch and dodge for a TD by So. Miss QB Austin Davis on the lousy throwback pass. Of course, the first thing Mark May says is "Amazing Pass!" by the afflete.

So you actually watched that game last night, Riddlewire? I looked at the TV listings and saw the game on, and commented to myself it would be like watching Southern vs. Grambling.

Yes, I watched it.
Most dropped passes I've ever seen in a football game at any level.
Southern Miss won the game, but the replay booth gave the victory to Louisville.

Now you have the full story of the game without having to sit through it.

Watching coal-black NFL contests just for the chance to see an occasional white player is bad enough, a low-level bowl game featuring two midnight-colored failures would have been too much to ask. Thanks for your sacrifice, RW!

Kyle Brotzman chokes again on the fake punt. He's wide open and the pass goes right through his arms. A very sloppy 1st quarter. Utah is dominating, they should be up 13-0.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall;" id="jsProxy" =""><div id="ref"></div>

Yep, kudos to Riddlewire for maintaining the watch on that game. I forgot all about it, but I am watching the Utah/Boise game through a surprisingly snow-free cable block here in Illinois.

I guess it wasn't the "Terrence Cain show"...

There were a few dropped passes, but one could tell that the Caste-heads were really trying to "build him up."

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm rooting for Alex Teich to have a big game tonight. I hope WR Greg Jones gets a few catches too. Navy only has 1 more White starter than SDSU, and they do have a black quarterback.

I watched a good part of the Navy - SDSU game, and the pasty-skinned QB of the Aztecs, Ryan Lindley, was exceptional. The black RB Hillman, to his credit, also had a great game. As for the Midshipmen, they pretty much stunk it up, and the bulk of the stinking lays squarely on the shoulders of their black quarterback, Ricky Dobbs. Although the Navy team has some good white talent, the pre-game stuff focused on the black quarterback, and he was "the face" of the Navy team. I wasn't disappointed that they were spanked.

Yeah, the way it played out I wasn't too upset that Navy lost. I was hoping that Dobbs wouldn't get the lion's share of the spotlight, but the caste system didn't go along with it.

He makes too many mistakes in crucial situations, either throwing a pick or not making the correct read. He did this the last game I watched against Maryland, goalline situation, shouldn't have kept it, yet he did, tackled for a loss and fumbled. Right before the 2nd quarter ended, he kept himself on the 7 and the clock ran out. The next goalline situation, he kept when he shouldn't have, doesn't make it, and fumbles. Finally makes it in on another drive to tie it, then the next drive keeps the ball for a loss on 2nd and 3rd down after Murray had 8 yards on 1st and 10, they punt, Maryland scores a field goal. The last drive, another back had 4 yards on 1st and goal, Dobbs keeps for no gain on 2nd, 3rd, and then 4th. The game pretty much ended there on the one yard line.

Is Trent Steelman the only white guy capable of running the option? In the triple option the fullback should get the majority of the carries, not the qb, at least should be evenly divided, Dobbs has more carries than both Murray and Teich combined by a big margin and had 315 carries last year.
