I'd thought I'd get a topic started about the upcoming college B-Ball season. A few teams to watch include: Wisconsin, Duke, Butler, and Indiana.

Indiana started two whites and gave good minutes to 3 other white players against Wright State. 7 total white players got minutes, so Indiana is a team to root for.

Remember when Florida was called a "factory" for white basketball players, back when the had the talented Nick Calathes? Florida must've taken this "racism" to heart, and now they are down to one white starter, one that gets minutes of the bench, and two that warm the bench. I'm sure Florida is proud not to be racist anymore.

Congrats to starting Vandy guard Brad Tinsley for the first triple double in Commodore history!
smiley32.gif
Unfortunatly, Tinsley is the only white player to see significant minutes on the Commodores, who managed to go all the way to Sweden to find a black player.

I'll put more teams up later.

If someone wants to preview a team(s), just post it in the thread so I, or anyone else who wants to preview a team, won't do that team.

2010-2011 Butler Bulldogs

The Runners up in the Big Dance a year ago figure to make a run again this year. Powering the Bulldogs is forward Matt Howard. Howard is an athletic playmaker, who has a shot to be in the NBA when all is said and done. When Matt Howard and Shelvin Mack(black) are clicking, Butler is very exciting to watch. Joining Howard in the starting lineup in junior forward Garrett Butcher, who replaces lottery pick Gordon Hayward in the starting lineup. I don't know much about Butcher, but hopefully he can help Butler to another run in the big dance. Butler has a few white players that should see significant time off the bench, including sharpshooter Zach Hahn. Hahn can be deadly from three point range. Sophomore center Andrew Smith got some good minutes off the bench in the Bulldog's first game of the year, and should continue to see minutes off the bench. Guard Chase Stigall and freshman forwar Erik Fromm also saw some time for the Bulldogs. So with two white starters, and four whites who come of the bench, the Bulldogs are definatly a team to cheer for.

2010-2011 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame should be a caste football favorite again this year, with SG Ben Hansbrough leading the way. Hansbrough is of course the brother of Pacers forward and UNC legend Tyler. On the young season, Ben is averaging 19.5 points for the first two games. Joining Hansbrough is Power forward Tim Abromaitis. Abromaitis could have a breakout year in store for the Irish. He's averaging 11.5 ppg, and 6 rpg on the young season. 6-8 guard Scott Martin is also starting for the Irish. White players off the bench who should make some contributions are forwards Jack Cooley, Mike Broghammer, and Tom Knight, in addition to freshman guard Alex Dragicevich. Hopefully, the Irish can make some noise in the Big East this year, and the Big Dance.

2010-2011 Louisville Cardinals

The sky must be falling or pigs flying, because Rick Pitino looks to give five whites playing time, including 2 white starters for the time being. Kyle Kuric is the starter at one of the guard spots, with Stephan Van Treese starting at forward. Off the bench for the Cardinals comes deadly shooter Mike Marra who went 6-8 on 3 pointers in the first game of the year.
smiley32.gif
Guards Elisha Justice and Tim Henderson come off the bench as well for the Cardinals. Hopefully, the Cardinals tear up the Big East this year.

2010-2011 Illinois Fighting Illini

This year, the Fighting Illini should give about as many or more white players time as Ron Zook's Fighting Zulus football team does, which is five. The Illini open the year with two white starters, in foward Bill Cole and center Mike Tisdale, who's average nearly 8 rebounds and 9 ppg so far this year. Guard Kevin Barardini has been used sparingly in the first three games. Center Meyers Leonard and Forward Tyler Griffey have each logged about 50 minutes in the Illini's first three games. Illinois should be an O.K. team to cheer for this year.

2010-2011 Michigan State Spartans

The No. 2 ranked Spartans enter the year with one white starter in a battle at center to keep it, sophomore Garrick Sherman. Sherman is athletic, and hopefully can develop into a top player for Tom Izzo. Anyway, off the bench comes senior guard Mike Kebler, who hopefully, finally gets a shot at good playing time this year. Guard Austin Thorton also comes off the bench getting nearly 24 minutes a game so far this year. Center Anthony Ianni also gets a minute here and there in the game. Three whites(one starts) who get good time and one with a few scraps makes the Spartans a watchable team this year.

2010-2011 Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes come into the season starting two whites in guard Jon Diebler and PG Aaron Craft. Diebler is the 3-point guy for the Buckeyes. Freshman point guard Aaron Kraft also starts for the Buckeyes. I haven't seen him play, so I can't comment on him. The only other white guy on the roster is junior foward Nikola Kecman, from Serbia.

2010-2011 Northern Iowa Panthers

Fresh off a tourney upset of the No. 1 seeded Kansas Jayhawks in the Big Dance, the Northern Iowa Panthers look to make it back tot he big dance this year. The Panthers again look to start four whites this year. Jake Koch and Lucas O'Rear start at the forward spots for Northern Iowa. Johnny Moran and Kerwin Dunham start at two of the guard spots. Center Austin Pehl comes off the bench when the Panthers need size on the court, and he's their biggest guy at 6'10, 245. Lack of a 7'0 guy could hurt Northern Iowa when they go up against better competition. Chip Rank and Marc Sonnen also will provide support off the bench for UNI. Hopefully, they can make another tourney run this year.

2010-2011 St. Mary's Gaels

St. Mary's open the season Friday, after their Sweet 16 run in the NCAA Tourney a year ago. St. Mary's only starts two whites this year, after having an all-white squad upset Villanova last year. 6-7 Forward Clint Steindl is one of the white starters. Terrific and athletic guard Mickey McConnell, who has a deadly 3 point shot, will also start again this year for the Gaels. St. Mary's will have plenty of white talent coming off the bench however, with sophomore guards Jordan Page and Aussie Matthew Dellavedova coming into the game. They will be joined off the bench by forwards Mitchell Young and Phil Benson. Dellavedova may be in a battle with black freshman Stephen Holt for the other starting guard job. At any rate, Dellavedova should be on the court a lot. With 2-3 white starters and 3-4 white players coming off the bench, St. Mary's remains a good team to support this year.

2010-2011 Wisconsin Badgers

After getting beaten by Cornell in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourney last year, the Wisconsin Badgers have their sites set higher this year. The Badgers start four white players in the early part of the year, hopefully it stays that way. Leading the Badgers this year is forward Jon Leur, the athletic forward for the Badgers is their go-to guy, at least in the early going. He scored 22 points, and dished out 7 assists in the route of North Dakota today. Leur can also shoot the three. Fellow forwards Mike Bruesewitz and Keaton Nankivil join Leur in the lineup. Nankivil can also score a lot of points, with 17 of them tonight. He shot 7-8 on field goals tonight. Guard Josh Gasser completes the Badger's starting compliment of white players.

The Badgers get some support off the bench too. Tim Jarmusz gets a lot of minutes off the bench, and can shoot the ball well, going 4-4 on field goals today. Ben Valentyn and Ben Brust also get a few minutes off the bench. Several other white players get some garbage minutes in addition to the guys I mentioned. With four white starters, and 3 whites that come in off the bench, Wisconsin should easily be a team to root hard for this year.

2010-2011 Hawaii Warriors

The Warriors beat Central Michigan by two points last night, with three white starters in the lineup, and several others off the bench. Hiram Thompson is the teams starting point guards, he was 5-6 on field goals last night. Junior Zane Johnson starts at the other guard spot, and Bill Amiss starts at forward. Trevor Wisemen, Bo Barnes, and Douglas Kurtz come of the bench for Hawaii. Hopefully, Hawaii can win the WAC this year and make the Big Dance with the white players they let play.Edited by: Jack Lambert

Well, Hoops officially kicks off on ESPN right now. And it looks like I can go to sleep with two all black teams in Miami and Memphis playing. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought Miami was Nigeria's national team, as they're complete with a black coach and one white bench warmer on the roster.

I really don't like basketball in any form any more. But I couldn't sleep, so I found myself watching this game taking place on ESPN. Hawaii versus Central Michigan. Perhaps you should consider adding the Warriors to this thread. When I turned the game on, there were five white players on the court for Hawaii. A quick check of the box score shows that four whites started the game and two more are getting substitution minutes from the bench. This is astonishing to me, since I've always believed that Hawaii was one of the most white-hating schools in the country (the fans assault visiting whites at football games).

I put Hawaii up, they only started three whites against Central Michigan last night, but gave playing time to three more off the bench.

In another update, Frosh PG Aaron Kraft started for the Buckeyes tonight!

I saw Louisville had four whites out on the court at once tonight. That included athletic big man Stephan Van Treese, who had a nice dunk tonight. Dick V. said that Louisville expects him to be a part of what they're doing this year.

Thanks, Jack. Nice job and good read. I look forward to reading some more of your College BB team write ups. I may actually watch some games this year based off of this.

Purdue Boilermakers

This could have been Purdue's year. Many projected them a preseason #1. That all changed when one of the best players in the nation, Robbie Hummel retore his ACL on the team's first practice. His all around ability will be missed this year. They also lost one of the best defenders in the nation last year in Chris Kramer. Still, Purdue remains a fair minded team.

Starting for the Boilers are PF Patrick Bade and SG Ryne Smith. Bade got good minutes as a freshman last year, but was still very raw. Reports have stated he has upped his game very much, so I hope he can make a bigger impact. Smith is a 3 point sharpshooter with good all-around game. It's his junior year and I'm looking for him to be more than a role player this year.

Coming off the bench are G-F DJ Byrd, PF Sandi Marcius, and C Travis Carroll. Byrd had a very good first game, and could potentially work his way into the starting line up. His game is very well rounded. He shoots well, drives hard, has good vision, and plays tough defense. Sandi and Travis are in their first year but will still get significant minutes each game.

The Boiler's have All American Jajuan Johnson and E'twaun Moore as their go-to-guys, yet they play very balanced, fair, team ball. Any player can lead the team in scoring on any night. It will see entertaining to see how far they can go this year.

Aaron Craft is underrated. He was the point guard for All-Ohio Red, the most dominant AAU team in the country since Love, Singler and Brandon Jennings played for the SoCal All-Stars. In his first two games for Ohio State, he came off the bench with 17 assists and 0 turnovers, thus his appearance now in the starting lineup.

Another interesting thing about Craft, he was the kid in a picture at the "top secret cookout" at Bruce Pearl's house that could eventually get him canned at Tennessee.

Elisha Justice's production from last night's game against Butler:

21 minutes-12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and only 1 turnover.

Pretty good line for a unathletic, too short, too slow, too white walk on.

I saw him play in the KY state tournament a couple of times and have told everyone who will listen that the kid can play. Pitino has his faults but I give him credit for giving the kid a chance. When a scholarship freed up he gave it to him and now he's getting him in to the games so he can prove himself.

Thanks so much guys. I was a huge college basketball fan in the 80s and early 90s. As it got more racist I stopped watching, though I tune in to see the white-friendly teams come tournament time.

By the way, never thought I'd live to see a white man named "Rotnei."

Realistic, thanks for mentioning Justice, another of Louisville's talented white players. The other starter for Lousiville is guard Kyle Kuric, who is pretty talented, but didn't get a lot of shots last night. I loved Mike Marra's one-handed jam last night!

Here are some stats from last night.

Jon Diebler, Ohio State: 14 points, 4 assists
Aaron Kraft, Ohio State: 7 points, 5 assists

Chanlder Parsons, Florida: 13 points, 7 rebounds
Erik Murphy, Florida: 8 points, 2 rebounds

Kyle Singler, Duke: 8 points, 5 rebounds
Mason Plumlee, Duke: 10 points, 14 rebounds
smiley32.gif

Ryan Kelly, Duke: 7 points, 3 rebounds

Matt Howard, Butler: 23 points, 9 rebounds
smiley32.gif

Mike Marra, Louisville: 11 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals
Stephan Van Treese, Louisville: 5 points
Elisha Justice, Louisville: 9 points, 3 assists

Clint Steindl, St. Mary's: 22 points
Mickey McConnell, St. Mary's: 10 points
Matthew Dellavedova, St. Mary's: 15 points

Good to see UNC go down! Harrison Barnes was 0-12 from the field. (Sophomore) John Henson had 12 boards and 3 blocks, but only 9 points.

The brotha has long arms, but is he another brotha "without an offensive game?"

Blake Hoffarber scored 20 points for Minnesota in the upset.

I looked, and Fox Sports said Barnes was 0-14 from the field. It was nice, after everyone proclaimed him as living up to the hype after games against Lipscomb and Hofstra. A little early, don't you think?

Other racist teams to avoid are Villanova, UConn(victs), Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, and Marquette, among many others.Edited by: Jack Lambert

Every once in a while they recruit a stud white player. Zeller should be great this year.I thought he had potential last year to grow as a player, but he got injured. Besides Zeller and Hansbrough there haven't been many to cheer for from the Tar Heelsover the last few years.

I turned on the Michigan State - UConn on ESPN today, and no surprise- The Spartans had two white players on the court. What I was surprised about was, so did UConn! I was shocked. I didn't know Calhoun could play two whites at the same time in a competitive game.

Duke had a classic case of "White Man's Foul Trouble" yesterday...

And, how long before Kyrie Irving's "affletic-style" kills Duke? Seriously, I don't think he respects the "elders" on Duke. (Senior) Kyle Singler could be in for a loooonnggg season....

Today, way-too-black Chaminade defeated way-too-black Oklahoma... Chaminade does have an excellent White shooter, however.

During yesterday's game, they mentioned that OU big - Andrew Fitzgerald (black) - was living the "fast-food lifestyle" and used to be 280 pounds, but then he ditched his (late night) fast-food buddies and he iz betta now...

Meanwhile, MSU's formerly 350-pound center Derrick Nix has dropped 75 pounds ... and has somehow gotten worse! (which is saying someting to those who saw him missing dunks and free throws in the Michigan state finals a couple years ag0).

I'm surprised no one mentioned how great it was to see Calipari's "WGAs" get bitch-slapped by a "diverse" UCONN team! All that Kentucky Blue in the crowd.. so sad.
smiley19.gif

I was telling my brother, "how can Kentucky be ranked so damn high when they even lost young benchwarmers to the NBA like Daniel Orton?"

The pollsters are GOONS just like Squidboy!
