The Washington Capitals did that a number of years ago. The team stunk and still didn't draw any black fans, which was what they were trying to do.

Are there 30 Black players in the NHL or are there 30 non White players? Ie Aboriginal, East Asian, Eurasian, Martian....
30 sounds rather high, even if you include guys that play a few games and then get sent down to the AHL or the CHL.
Arab Nazem Kadri made his NHL debut with the maple leafs last night and completely stunk up the joint. The color commentators before the game implied this guy was just short of the messiah.
i watched the game from start to finish. kadri wasn't just a non-factor, he suuuuuucks!
other observations of note: don cherry is openly fighting for jerome iginla to get more ice time (i think iginla is a -16 +/- right now).
they did a highlight package on subban the black defenseman from montreal before the early game on CBC. they showed his first and only goal of the season along with 'highlights' of him not coughing up the puck. WOW. one goal for the season and the film room can find 30 seconds of subban not sucking. highlighting someone so unworthy is proof that HNIC is pimping the non-whites of the NHL.

W, here is a list that has been linked around the Net (check 1.1/Active players). I think it does include players that weredemoted to the minors prior to the season--i.e. the black/chinese goalie listed as being on the Blues. I count about 20 that seem to get regular playing time. Most are fringe talents, although there seem to be less black "fighters" than a few years ago -- Peter Worrell and Georges Laraquetypes.

Overall, it looks like the vast majority of these players are mullatto's. Again, I stand by what I said, I doubt the average black man or woman in Georgia gives a rats-a$$ about a bunch mullatto's playing for the Thrashers. I hate to be so blunt, but I really believe it's true. If it was, however,five orsix "real brothers" like ex-player/aspiring hip-hop star Anson Carter**, I think some blacks in the Atlanta region wouldtake notice of hockey, at least as long as these black players were around.

C Darwin, Cherry is a clueless punk and I've never really liked him that much. He's always gone out of his way to bash the Europeans, but slobbers like a homosexual all over these Canadian mullatto's, mostly born to Canadian super-skanks (female) and black immigrant men (Uncle Tom's)from places like Nigeria and Haiti.
Also, one more note: The mullato from Southern California that the Ducks picked in Round 1, is a rarity -- he has a white father, I think. Watching the draft, that's what it looked like. from my studies for this NHL season, i found 2 blacks and 1 chinese, plus 15 mulattos,2 asian/white, 2 mestizo, 1 eskimo/white, 1 indo-pak/white, and 1 black/native.

Hi TruthTeller, CDarwin, Yuri and Don and others ... I've been occupied for some months trying to stay employed but back this week, really enjoy this thread of those wonderful African NHL superstars
The induce-vomiting story of the year is the Atlanta Thrashers squad with five ******** such that the team "looks like Atlanta." Hard to deny that Bufflin (real name totally unpronouncable) is prospering a D-man. But it's hard to root for the guy, he DOES have Ray Emery disease and frequently gives a self-serving, arrogant interview.
But the flip-side of Atlanta stockpiling negroes is that many teams are dumping theirs, and all-White (or at least all non-Negro) rosters are the rule at the top of the standings. Can't find too many 'brothers on Penguins, Caps, Sharks, Redwings, Flyers, Rangers, Lightning, Canucks.
And Don Cherry gets my vote as the most revolting old man in North America. Shamelessly pushing non-Whites yes, but even worse he's the Rah rah rah let's nail those RAGHEADS in the middle east on behalf of glorious Israel, and Thank God we can contribute two or three dead Canadian or RCMP soldiers every week to that worthy cause

RALEIGH -- P.K. Subban continues to master the big stage with relative ease. The only difference now is very few people are still surprised by the precociousness of the 21-year-old Montreal Canadiens defenseman.
Saturday morning, almost a full 12 hours before the Honda NHL SuperSkills competition got under way, former NHLer and current NHL Network analyst Kevin Weekes, predicted Subban would be the breakout star of the show.
"One guy that is going to surprise is P.K.," Weekes told NHL.com. "He has a great skill set and he is made for these types of moments. Last year, he just took over the AHL All-Star Game. He's a great kid. I've known him for a long time. He started going to my camp when he was 8."
Washington's Alex Ovechkin does not have the same type of allegiance to Subban that Weekes harbors. Yet, he was also singing the defenseman's praises before the contest, predicting Subban would win the BlackBerry NHL Breakaway Challenge.
"He's a great player; it's Alex Ovechkin," Subban said. "I didn't really expect to beat him, but if he gives me some props, I'll take them."
Well, Subban didn't beat Ovechkin, who won a third straight Breakaway Challenge title, but he wowed the crowd in Carolina with his unique combination of personality and skill.
In fact, Subban became a temporary favorite at the RBC Center when he skated to center ice to start his Breakaway Challenge attempts in the jersey of Carolina's Jeff Skinner, who might be just as popular as Hurricane captain Eric Staal these days.
One of the players said, 'Man you need an idea,' and Dan Boyle was like, 'Just throw a jersey on' and I was like, 'That was a pretty good idea and I think the crowd would like that.' So I threw it on and they liked it. That's what it is all about; it's about the fans here."
In Boyle's mind, the stunt would have been more effective had Subban donned the Skinner jersey on his fourth attempt.
"He was asking for suggestions and I figured, smart guy that I am, on the last one he might come back, put the jersey on and you'll have 20,000 people behind you," Boyle said. "But, he put it on right away. He didn't need the jersey, he's got some great hands, but had he won I would have taken full credit. Since he finished second, that's all him."
It seems Subban and Skinner were both too nervous to think through all the permutations.
"He had to repeat it a couple of times because I was a bit surprised," said Skinner, who played against Subban in the Ontario Hockey League two years ago.
But, Subban is not just about the shtick. He is also about the skill, as he showed in the Breakaway Challenge. On two of his attempts, he tossed the puck over the net as he skated around it and then tried to bat the puck in -- baseball-style only to barely miss on each attempt.
On another try, he carried the puck into the attacking zone by bouncing it repeatedly up in the air on the blade of his stick before shooting on net.
Not bad for no practice.
"I haven't had any chance to practice that," Subban said. "I just went out there and I was winging it. It seemed that the crowd liked what I tried to do out there. I just tried to put in an honest effort and try to impress the fans and hopefully they left the building happy."
More than 21 percent of the fans that voted really liked it, voting it the best routine of the six on display Saturday night. Unfortunately, almost 39 percent thought Ovechkin's was better, meaning Subban finished second.
"I just wanted to go out there and not embarrass myself to be honest with you," Subban said. "It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it out there. That's a memory I'll have for the rest of my life. Just being out there, talking to guys, talking to Dan Boyle and Patrik Elias. It's a cool experience. I really, really enjoyed it."
But, don't expect him to don a Carolina jersey anytime soon. It was a one-off experience, he says.

Update. The much hyped Kadri was sent back down to the Marlies (the Leafs 'farm' team) in late December. He did not score in the 17 games he started despite being put on a line with the top forwards. Another great hope for diversity bites the dust.

After Carolina's OT-win over Atlanta, they both are tied for the 8th seed now, with Carolina having played 2-less games.

They announced over 11000 in attendance at the Montreal@Atlanta game last night. At best it was half that number. Guess that diversity approach of the Atlanta Thrashers isn't working out. Time to move the Thrashers to Quebec City and replace their current diversity quota with French-Canadians - a people who can actually play the game.

I think it's laughable that the MSM treats these "young bruthas" as prodigies or redefiners, when a BUNCH of "young Whites" have racked-up superior production.
Some of the "people of color" were drafted too high, and I think the inflation they receive can be compared to the MLB draft.. It's going to be quite difficult for them to be better than the Swedes, Czechs, Fins, Canadians, Russians, Germans, Slovaks, etc. That's the STRAIGHT TRUTH!
