If the new "mating ritual" of texting pictures of wieners to prospective "dates" has spread even to 40 year old celebrities, there's a lot to be worried about.

What really worries me is the complete lack of morals and respect that many young adults have these days. I can see why this woman did this and money was what she was after. Favre is nothing more than an ex-lover to her or maybe just someone who tried to hook up with her but was unsuccessful. The fact that people will sell out their own family members these days for a couple of bucks is downright frightening.

If this doesn't make you guys very upset then I don't know what will.

Adrian Peterson admitted he was surprised that he was on the sideline
for some crucial third- and fourth-down plays Sunday night.

Backup Toby Gerhart saw his most extensive action of the season, and
not just because Peterson broke his chinstrap on the game's opening
play. Peterson was removed for many third downs even though he is vastly
improved in the passing game. Coach Brad Childress said Gerhart's extra

So they gave Gerhart a whopping 5 carries this game and Peterson was "surprised." Actually he was more likely upset. A total of 15 carries so far this season for the best college running back last year and the brutha doesn't like it. Sickening at the very least.

What and idiot. This was the entire reason Gerhart was supposedly drafted, to replace Chester Taylor on 3rd downs, and he looked better in pass protection that Peterson. He also had some nice runs, averaging 4.8 ypc. Peterson should welcome Gerhart getting at least TEN carries a game. Instead he'd rather get run into the ground and shorten his career.

Exactly snow. Peterson had 28 carries yesterday and it seems as if he's upset over Gerhart getting 5 carries last night. That's the most carries Toby has had in a game in his first year. It looks like Childress will be using him a bit more so maybe he'll continue to get about 5 carries a games.

I had a feeling Gerhart was going to get playing time. Peterson will start coming apart now because of it. Once blacks start complaining, there's no turning back for them. Interesting how they've got no way to pull themselves back together. This is quite the year for us.

If there's a lockout next year, look for a whole new concept upon the return of the league. The blacks will have killed the golden goose once again.

Interesting how from the earliest writings about black people, the observations are so similar, coming all the way from Henry the Navigator's time (Portuguese prince who started exploration down Africa's coast) until today.

If it had been Chester Taylor receiving those carries, Peterson would have welcomed the breather. 28 carries, 130 yards and a TD (and several targets in the passing game) would be enough to satiate the ego of most Africans"¦but not the ultra-conceited "Gay P."

One is left to wonder why the Vikings drafted Gerhart at all. Clearly not as a change of pace back (Peterson is known for his power running, as is Gerhart) and not likely for his third down abilities (his blocking was suspect in college and he was never much of a pass-catcher.)And not because they were in need of a RB (Peterson is the best in the game).And now they barely use him. So why, why did they draft him? Hmmmmm.

At least Gerhart ran hard and decisively last night. Previously he looked too tentative at times, which is understandable given that he's a rookie and has been treated roughly from day one by some of his own "teammates." Peterson is the top RB in the league this year, but Gerhart needs to keep running very hard. He doesn't look to be in a good situation right now, but he's only one injury away from being a starter. Hillis and Woodhead overcame situations that looked far more bleak. Also, it looks like Caste clown"Chilly" will be gone after this season and a new coaching regime might at least put Gerhart in Chester Taylor's old role next season.

It's my belief they drafted Gerhart to replace Peterson. The Vikings know that at some critical point, Peterson will do something to louse them up. Yes, he has all sorts of ability, but he lacks the intangibles that a White guy has. Keep watching. Peterson will do something so absolultely stupid, it'll boggle the mind. The Viking coaching staff knows it. Now that he's started whining it can happen any time.

Well, well, it looks like my prediction of Favre going down to injury is
coming true, just as others on CF have predicted. Favre is an old, old
man in NFL years, and all the hits and bumps have caught up with him,
unfortunately. I really never thought alot of him as a QB over the
years because of his untimely and abundant picks, but you have to
respect his tenacity and his unmatched and boundless warrior spirit.
For that, he will always be remembered warmly by me and millions of
others. And, he did manage to win a Superbowl in the 90's. I just
wish he had not listened to his teammates and stayed home last Summer,
but he's a warrior. We'll see if he suits up next game, but I highly
doubt it with a fractured (in 2 places) ankle.



As for the lowly coach of the Vikings, I cannot believe this guy. Last
night, he backed the semi over Favre, even though Favre gave it his all
and then some, in spite of the stupid pic-6. Favre kept playing, even
on a broken left ankle. Nah, coach couldn't talk about how 84 looked
pretty damn lethargic out there. Half or no effort is the hallmark of
Randy Moss. He couldn't talk about the last drive in which Favre (and
AP) led the team down the field to the 10 yard line to put the Vikings
in perfect position to win the game just to have a stupid penalty move
the Vikings back to the 30 yard. Nah, the coach couldn't give credit to
Favre for tossing that beautiful pass to win the game with seconds left
on the clock, only to have the WR not get his feet in bounds. Nah,
couldn't talk about how No. 84 looked like he didn't even attempt to
jump for the ball on that last heave from Favre. Nah, the coach
couldn't talk about how screwed the Vikings would be without Favre as
QB. Nah, he just threw the old man under the bus. He should have know
BY NOW that Favre was just being Favre last night. For that, Chilly
the turd should ONLY BLAME HIMSELF!!!!



Now, Chilly better start doing the Chilly Vanilli because it looks like

I agree, Childress is a classless mangina. Favre likely played one season too long but he is the greatest warrior in NFL history.

Yes Don, Favre is the greatest Warrior of all, no doubt. His consecutive QB start record is just incredible. The guy was often banged up over the years, but he always showed up on Sunday, ready to play. Heck, he may even show up next Sunday and start!

One thing about the picks last night. It's always been my impression that WR's need to move directly towards the QB when a passing play breaks down and the QB is under pressure. On 2 of the 3 pick plays, the WR's were actually moving diagonally or directly away from Favre. On 1 pick, the WR was moving left as Favre was running to the right which created a very difficult passing situation. If the receiver had moved toward Favre instead, the ball would not have been intercepted. On another pick, the WR actually bolted away from Favre instead of moving towards him as the rushers closed in. This resulted in a pic-6. I feel the WR's share at least some of the blame on those 2 picks last night. In contrast, the HOF receivers, Swann and Stallworth almost always broke off their routes and ran towards Bradshaw when he got into trouble. Bradshaw would then throw the ball low so the WR would not take a big hit. This saved Bradshaw many times, even though he threw a bunch of picks regardless (Terry was a gunslinger too).

The interception on the pass to Harvin was completely the fault of the receiver and his lazy route. That said, I saw plenty of other really dumb Favre throws that should have been picked.

Toby Gerhart and the Strange Case of Misplaced White Running Backs.

Favre is a tough s.o.b. He wouldn't even talk to the trainers. He's trying to do too much this year. Most of his picks have come when he's about to be sacked, throwing it up for grabs. During the preseason, I predicted an 8-8 season for the Vikes. I didn't like the lack of professionalism targeted at Gerhart during training camp. If Favre was there, I don't think that would have happened.

Hey, just to be fair, Peterson was VERY complimentary of Toby and stated that he has been getting better every week and that he had no problem with Toby being in there, just that he was a little surprised at that point in the game that he was taken out. I don't think this is a Keyshawn Johnson/Wayne Chrebet situation at all, I think Peterson is aware of the fact that Toby will extend his own career, and according to everything I have read, has supported Toby. I think if more black players acted more like Peterson, and not Tub-a-Lard Pat Williams, white players like Toby would perform better knowing that thier black teammates have thier back...just my 2 cents

Why wouldn't they? Unless they are racist I doubt players care what race their teammates are.

I think sehornlives is right. Peterson was probably just surprised about the timing of him being taken out on that crucial series in the game (getting close to the endzone). Peterson does seem like a decent fellow- and I don't think he resents Gerhart like a few of the brutha tailbacks in the league would in the same situation. Peterson may very well be the best back in the league. I do think he's A LITTLE better than Hillis (although they have a different style) and likely Gerhart too- even once Toby would find his grove with some playing time in Minnesota. Woodhead would be a top 3 NFL back- IMO- IF HE WAS A BIT BIGGER. As it is- Woodhead could become the best all purpose scatback (IN A DUAL SET BACKFIELD) in the NFL. Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Great piece. I remember being really excited about Hester when the draft came around, and was sorely disapointed when he went to the Chargers. I was even more excited for Gerhart....when the Vikings drafted him my stomach fell. I thought I had smelt a fish with Hester, I was positive after Gerhart. Thinking about it now though, it's pretty obvious. Very well put in the article, however.
