OK, but half of them are walk-ons. Coach K destroys more white talent than any coach I can think of.

Just saw the Duke/ Memphis game. Man can Paulus pass the ball! And man is Dick Vitale irritating! He kept us very well informed of how athletic, mobile, long-limbed, etc., the black Memphis team is. Over and over and over again. Meanwhile, Duke has "skill and tenacity." They were very complimentary towards Redick and Paulus, so it could've been worse. Duke had three or four white players on the floor at all times. Of the two black guys that played, Williams was excellent, and the other guy, Dockerty, was the weak link.

Redick's game has really developed. He's had some really nice drives to the basket this year. His body has really matured along with his game. Or maybe he just burned off his baby fat. Not everybody can be freakishly developed at 17 or 18 like Lebron James. And McRoberts doesn't seem as skinny as he was during MacDonald's game. Maybe he put on some weight since then.

Redick did get shut down in the second half though, and yes Dickie V., by a tall, long limbed black. He is right though: height and long arms are an advantage in basketball, no doubt about it. (I just don't want to hear about it every ten seconds!) Throw in some quick feet, and black (or white) players with those attributes are physically well-suited for this particular sport. Those attributes aren't necessary to be an excellent player, but they're helpful.

I would love to see Duke win it all.Just to see them at number one in America puts a smile on my face. They play 3 and 4 whites at a time as you guys have said.JJ Reddick reminds me a little bit of a guy from a long time ago who is now dead.D.Petrovic was a outstanding basketball player who could beat you inside or outside.I see JJ in the same mold. His shooting is incredible!

Duke had 5 Whites on the floor a few nights ago. It reminded me of my colleges days, when my friends and I would go to the overwhelmingly-black city park and proceed to "hold court" by repeatedly beating all-black pick-up teams.

Great game, and great performance by Redick. I'm a little curious about the freshman Lithuanian on Duke, Pocius (probably mispelled.) Obviously he won't play much this year, but it will be interesting to see how he develops. Euro players would be a good fit for Coach K. Shooters, passers, team players, except that some may decide to leave early, like that European kid that caused a stir by leaving Florida a couple of years ago.

It wouldn't be a surprise if we start seeing more Europeans in college ball. Of course most will continue to go pro, but they may want the exposure and experience playing our style of ball (regardless of its deficiencies, it is the way it is, they'll have to adapt to it if they want to play in the NBA) that only playing in America can give them. Bogut wouldn't have been picked over that black guy from UNC without his experience playing in America (especially "post-Darko.")

I wonder if the NBA not having an age limit (until recently) has been good for white college players. All the black "freaky" athletes get swept up by NBA teams, leaving white players like Redick, Bogut, and Morrison as some of the biggest stars in the country. What would've happened if Lebron James, Amare Stoudemire, Carmello Anthony, etc., all played 3-4 years of college ball? The above mentioned white players would've been overshadowed. Furthermore, they're getting valuable time, experience, and coaching, while many of the black "fast twitch" freaky guys like Darius Miles, Kwame Brown, and many others struggle making the transition. So perhaps this new age limit isn't that great for us. Edited by: JD074
