Not really. There are way too many,so the exact number doesn't matter anymore. There shouldn't be one in the league or the country. I can't wait to see another player from Trinidad,Ghana or South London. Liverpool will probably be the best team in terms of the number of whites.

I don't know about the premier league, but the % dutch players that is white is higher then last year( 70%), more white dutch have got the chance to show what they got.
taking the % whites in holland under 35years old and their population in dutch soccer
blacks overpresented
whites not really over or under represented
Arabs underrepresented
east and south asians underepresented

Blacks will be always overrepresented in any sport in racially mixed communities, because until the age of 14-15 years they are 2-3 cm taller than their white peers and more mature. When whites overgrow them in late teens, it is often too late.

The only thing about European teams is that there is no college, so they don't have to get a player who is 17 or 18 to play right away. A college coach can't wait a couple of years for the players to grow.

With the season starting today, does anyone fancy trawling through this list of premier league squads and compiling a white/black/mixed list for each team?

If no one volunteers ill get to it next week sometime i guess.

Hello, Just wanted to follow up on this subject. Whatever happened to
Karl Baxter -- I was looking forward to an update to his great summary
of EPL from last season http://www.castefootball.us/viewarticle.asp?sportID=8&teamID=0&ID=23481
Would
also love to know about the other top leagues (Spain, Germany, Italy,
Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, English Championship, MLS, France,
etc.)
Thank you

Good news - Arsenal, the perenial black team, managed for years by a French guy who has filled it with black French players season after season, has for the first time in over a decade become a white majority team. In fact, their line up has about 7 starting whites.

Less good news - Chelsea continues to fill its ranks with blacks, and is now probably the blackest team in the league. The other week they only had 4 starting whites, the rest being jet black Africans and French. Whats worse is that they are on top!

So everyone get behind Arsenal, and the other great white teams Manchester united (about 9 starting whites and Liverpool(about 10 starting whites)!

Note: Wigan African all starts has whitened up this season. In some games last season they started just 2 whites with 9 blacks - the most ever by any team in the premier league. This season they are starting about 6 to 7 whites.

Bimingham City are usuallly a very white team. They had 10 whites
starting in the games I saw recently. The nice thing is a lot of these
guys are from the British Isles. I just checked their squad and they have 24/25 whites in their 29 man squad.http://www.bcfc.com/page/Profiles/0,,10412,00.html

Really? Wow, that's a nice change of pace from recent trends.
Okay, Birmingham City and Liverpool are my teams this season.

I just f'n hate Chelsea. You know the irony is that Chelsea was renown for having substantial 'right-wing' English following in the 70s and 80s?
Now, full of douchebag DWFs.

Go Birmingham City! Who are some of their key White play makers?

I checked out Birmingham's website and they have a team picture; there is only 1 black on the team.

I wish Liverpool would get rid of Ngog and Babel. They both started in the Europa Cup.

Birmingham has 17 out 27 from the British isles. Mcfadden,Phillips,Gardner,Ferguson are some of the top players. They also have Matt Derbyshire ,a real English name, on the team. Hleb, who is from Belarus, is on loan from Barcelona;he left Arsenal a few years ago to go to Barcelona and now he is stuck on Birmingham. His brother actually plays in China.

" just f'n hate Chelsea"

Many of the so called "beautiful people" are chelsea fans I think. The rich and famous of London. Chelsea has about 12 blacks on the team now, with 7-8 starters sometimes. They had 7-8 white starters in the CL in 2005.Edited by: Europe

Look at this video from 1990 of Chelsea and 3 rd Division Bristol City in the FA Cup. Look at the skill the players have. There is only 1 black guy on the field which still might be a little over the proportion of blacks in society at the time, but not bad. It feels like I wasn't even alive when this game took place. Only 1 foreigner is in the game It seems.

This is English Football

Take a look at this from 1976. There are zero blacks in this first division game. I think this is on the BBC. The announcer is good and it seems they didn't have a former player analyzing the game like we do now. Most of the time they say the obvious anyway.

Everton and Newcastle are looking good. Newcastle is staring just 2 blacks and Everton has one black and 2 light coloured mixed. That leaves 8 or 9 whites starting for both teams.

So far weve commented on Arsenal, Chelsea, Man united, Liverpool, Birmingham, Wigan, Newscastle and Everton - and in terms of white athletes to support 7 out 8 of the teams are looking great (or on an upward trend, in the case of Wigan), the big exception being Chelsea.

12 teams to go.

Here are some more teams. My first reaction is that this is the whitest the league has been for over a decade.

West Ham - 8 white starters and 3 blacks
Stoke City - 9 white starters and 2 blacks
Aston Villa - 9 white starters and 2 mixed
Bolton - 8 white starters, one asian and 2 black
Tottenham - 5 whites starters, 3 blacks and 3 mixed
Wolves - 10 whites starters and one mixed
Blackburn - 8 white starters and 3 black (one white player is French!!)
Fulham - 9 white starters, one mixed and one black

Sometimes mixed blacks can look like Polynesians.. Sometimes they can look like Red Indians.. It doesn't really matter, though, as ALL of the above are non-White, anyways.

Being a Peterborough United fan, I've been living lower division football all of my life. In case any of You are interested

, Peterborough started 8 White players and 3 blacks (one of whom is Congolese) in last night's League One match against Exeter City. A "Ghanaian-born English"substitute came on in the first half, which meant that Peterborough had 4 blacks on the field until the 67th minute, when one of them was replaced by White striker Lee Tomlin (who scored the equaliser).

Exeter City started 2 blacks and brought on a third early in the second half. The match finished 2-2, with Peterborough's firststrike being an own goal by black Exeter defender Troy Archibald-Henville...

Sunderland having a really black team is strange because Sunderland as a city is like 95% white (one of the whitest in the country) and the rest mainly being South Asian. Steve Bruce seems to be a bit of a caste coach. Mind you he has brought Jordan Henderson through the youth ranks into the first team and he is Sunderland born and bred and looks as though he is future England international material.

Europe, I agree, 'I fukin hate Chelsea'. Always have done actually even when they were crap in the early 90's with Gleen Hoddle at the helm. They were the first team to glorify foreign talent when Ruud Gullit became manager in 96/97 and in the space of a year they had like 9 or 10 foreign starters bar Dennis Wise or Jody Morris.
Can't deny that Chelsea are a quality team but the only reason they are 100% so far this season is because they've has the easiest opening 5 games so far, they havent played any of the big teams yet. Wish they still have Robben.

The gov't is stupid to bring in all these Africans into Britain. They have no business being there. It makes me so mad and I don't even live there.

Lower divisions seem to be 80-90% white, some teams having 1 or no blacks.

Angelcynn - This demonstrates that the people are willing to support anyone or anything provided it's wearing the correct shirt. The pressure to "blacken" teamshasbeenomnipresent for a long time.

Back in the early to mid-1990s when Blackburn Rovers were at their Jack Walker-funded height the club endured criticism that the team was all-White, which didn't reflect the "diverse" ethnicity of the area. Mind You, I don't know where they intended to find the sufficiently-skilled Paki playersrequired to "redress this evil"
smiley36.gif
- but, of course, the critics had blacks in mind...

Europe - As both Peterborough United and my other favourite clubs (Carlisle United, Bristol Rovers, and Southampton) all find themselves in the Third Division (oops, sorry - League One) this season, I find it even easier to keep tabs on their White-black ratios. Here's the breakdown of starting elevens from the last round.

Carlisle United:

9 Whites
1 black (Ivorian)
1 "mixed" Ryan Giggs-style case (but still, of course, black
smiley2.gif
) - see below:

Midfielder Tom Taiwo's paternal grandfather is Nigerian, so the "tar brush" effect is evident, if not immediately apparent (the name is a dead giveaway)...

A black substitute replaced one of the blacks with three minutes remaining.

Bristol Rovers:

8 Whites
3 blacks

Southampton:

9 Whites
2 blacks

A black Brazilian (groan...) substitute came on for one of the blacks in the final minute.

A few years ago I think I remember the Rovers having only 1 black guy on the team and being all British.

They will support anything. Not only have people been stripped of their race or ethnicity;they have been taught not to care about their country. I remember reading about when foreigners started to come into the EPL in a large way in the late 90's and early 2000's;some of the commentators said nobody will support it. They won't root for foreigners in a big way. Well, people have been brainwashed nicely I guess because a lot of people don't seem to care. There are some who queston the foreign takeover, but many just go along just like MLB or the NBA.
