In the last couple of years ive got disillusioned with what was once my favourite league and one of my favourite countries to support...England. Ive got disillusioned with the poor technical abilities of many of the players, with the roughness of the game (so many injuries nowadays in the premier league), and with the premier league clubs recruiting less and less whites each year....

...for instance, i read recently that Stoke city are sending scouts to the world cup to pick out the best prospects specifically and exclusively from the 4 western African teams. 'Why?' i ask - what about all the other teams with potentially great relatively unknown prospects too!

Also i found the English national team to rarely be entertaining, and whilst there have been improvements and theyve had some good moments this last year, its been many years since ive truly enjoyed watching this team

The substitute, which I offically announced to myself this year is...Spain. The Spanish league now has much more entertainment value for me than the English. I feel that there is a lot more skill and technical prowess involved. Many of the best players in the world are Spanish - all white - and their league, and national team, is a showcase for the incredible pace, intelligence, and deftness of touch with which they play.

Ill be rooting got Spain in this world cup, and with 11 white starters im sure i wont be alone in this forum!

i would not be upset one bit if spain won, they play incredible football. HAVE incredible white atheletes, such as tourres.

I have ut money on holland and argentina, but would not be surprised if the all white spain waltzed it.

As an englisman i agree, spain ar superior technical ability to england...

Spain has too many foreigners in their league , but they have fewer Africans it seems. I wish it could go back to the 80's or even early 90's. I was watching some highlights on Youtube from the 90's in England and just about all the players were white and the vast majority of those were British. Now England gets all these Africans or Euro blacks or Brazilians or Colombians. I am sick of it. Plus, they have the black British players.

I still want England to win, but I do like Spain. Spain will be ruined by immigration. In 20 years, there will be blacks,Polish, Moroccans,Turks on the Spanish team.

I don't get the Spanish League on tv in my area.I wish I did.

I wouldn't root for England, their main strikers are black. Enjoy Spain while it last, because years from now, it'll be as colorful as the rainbow.

England has Rooney as one of their strikers, who is one of the 3 best players in the world. You could see Crouch and Rooney playing.

I checked out Real Madrid's site and they have almost all white kids at their Academy which is good. Spain gets a lot of immigration from Argentina which is white. But I think in 10-20 years they will have some Africans, maybe North Africans on their team, maybe some Eastern Euros also.

Hopefully, not many blacks, but there will be some I assume.Edited by: Europe

Spain = balanced, skilled, and unselfish. what a novel approachfor building a unitina team sport! maybe the NBA should look into that principle of team-building.

Spain has to be one of the early favorites to hoist the Cup when all is said and done.
