I watched all the fights tonight, and it was a good card overall.

Regarding Bimbo Slice, what a stinker this guy is. He has no ground game, no defence, no stamina, he has nothing. He got dominated by a fighter with 1 fight in his career who's just getting started in MMA. Bimbo needs to go back to the alleys and backyards from whence he came and leave MMA fighting to the pros. One of these days he'll get matched to someone who may hurt him badly. If the 40-hr work week wasn't such a taboo in the black community, I'd encourage Bimbo to take a job in construction or some other form of manual labor. He seems to have a decent enough build to do something there.

As for Mitrione, he is obviously no match to any of the legit HWs in UFC right now, and has a long way to do before can hang with the big boys. His BJJ is certainly not up to par, and he does not have any KO power. I can name 10 HWs right now who'd probably beat him in the first round. But nevertheless, it's always good to see a white fighter destroy a black fighter, and I wish Matt good luck in the future.

I don't think anyone was surprised by the sucker punch from that thug Daley. He certainly lived up to every black man's reputation. The sucker punch seems to be imprinted in their DNAs.

And the big fight, that was a great win by Shogun. I'm a huge Shogun fan from his Pride days. He once gave Rampage Jackson a beating unlike any other, and I've been a fan ever since. I'm surprised we're even questioning his race. He's a white man. Pick any Southern European country around the Mediterranean (Spain, France, Italy, Serbia, Crotia, Greece, Turkey, etc), and he'd be right at home. The only time I may root against him is if he's fighting a white American fighter. Otherwise, Shogun all the way. I have feeling these two will fight a third time, but not before Machida fights someone else first. Shogun will most likely get the winner of the ghetto bowl (Rampage vs Evans) and hopefully destroy him in the process.

Paul Daley will become the new .gif that stands for TNB.

Mitrione needs work but he has vastly improved. Kimbo did show he had also improved a great deal. And he also proved that if he were white, he'd never have been considered for the UFC or anything else. Wait, maybe I'm wrong. Strikeforce would have taken him on to help build the records of their "colored" fighters.

I'm wasn't surprised Shogun won. I was surprised at how quickly and easily he did so. The flip side is I think Machida fought the wrong kind of fight. But I guess he wanted to prove his heart and toughness.

Dixie, I was thinking the same thing regarding Lawlor / Severn while watching that fight, lol.

Belcher needs a new Tattoo artist LOL. I bet he paid quite a bit for a Tat that size and it isn't really a very good likeness of the Man in Black. I am not into tats, but I have seen tattoo work that amazes me. If I was going to get a tat, I think I would want one from somebody who does work like that. On Google there are some very good ones of JC.

I had a feeling that Rua was going to get Machida this time around and Lice simply needs to be gone from the UFC, what a poseur of a MMA fighter this guy is. Edited by: Bear Backer

"Bimbo Lice" finally shown the door...

Kimbo's UFC run is done

By Steve Cofield

UFC president Dana White laid down the challenge to Internet phenom Kimbo Slice and the street fighter accepted it. Kimbo made it through his stint on Season 10 of "The Ultimate Fighter" and got two more fights with the promotion.

Slice went 1-1 in the UFC after the reality show, including a bad loss tonight at UFC 113 against Matt Mitrione. The fight was so one-sided, the UFC president decided to give Kimbo, 36, his pink slip.

"That's probably Kimbo's last fight in the UFC," said White. "Listen, Kimbo made it farther than I thought he would."

As White was exiting the press conference for a postfight television interview, he was asked one more time about Kimbo's future. A reporter pushed him on the "probably" in his original Kimbo quote. White then confirmed definitively that Slice was gone.

Unlike some cases where other high profile fighters were sent packing, White sounded genuinely disappointed to fire him.

"I didn't know Kimbo, I just knew what I saw," White said of his previous pro MMA fights and his work on YouTube. "The first time I ever met him I said, 'This is going to be an interesting meeting with the [expletive] I've said about him over the years.'"

When Slice was the centerpiece of CBS' EliteXC promotion, his status drove White nuts. He slammed and badmouthed Kimbo, saying the only way he'd make it to the UFC was to take part in the UFC's prospect show on Spike. That was a bitter pill to swallow for a guy who had earned between $250,000-$500,000 in each of four EliteXC fights.

Slice and his handlers were not combative. They just wanted the fighter to get a chance at legitimacy.

"He came in. He couldn't be a nicer guy. He took things serious, trained and went after it," said White. "His first fight wasn't the YouTube fights you saw. He won that fight [against Houston Alexander on the TUF 10 finale]. He deserved another fight in the UFC and he lost. Got nothing but respect for Kimbo and I like him as a person. And I think he's carried himself really well."

"Also, it's a Johnny Cash tattoo that Belcher sports...not (overrated, caste "deity") Ali. So, in my estimation, he's doing Mississippi & Dixie proud."

Thanks Dixie! That puts it in a whiole new light. I was actually a bit down on Belcher as I thought he weas trying to honor the racist and overrated Ali. I should have known a true Mississippi boy would never do that.

Belcher called out A. Silva as well and is coming off wins over Gouveia and Cote and a razor close "loss" to Sexyama (of course, he won the fight but got screwed).

Could be a new player at 185.

I always wondered what that strange tatoo was, from a big screen TV twenty feet away it kinda looks like Chairman Mao.
