Tebow reminds me of Bobby Douglass of the Chicago Bears.
Not too many people remember him, but he was big, strong, fast - a very very good runner, rushed for almost 1000 yds one season. He also had a really strong arm (lefty - like Tebow), but wasn't a great passer.

I remember him well. He was the QB and John Riggins a soph FB on Kansas' 1968 Orange Bowl team. Douglass was given plenty of chances but never became an effective QB.

With this year's crop of White receivers, the largest group of draftable ones in many years, it looks like it's going to come down to luck of the draw. Collie and Hartline landed on their feet last year with Hartlinealso being draftedearlier than expected; we can only hope that a few more are taken by relatively White friendly teamsthis year, otherwise it looks like the obligatory prolonged racial apprenticeships with no guarantee of ever getting an opportunity.

More proof the "experts" are idiots:

"Best value" wr's....every single one drops a ball in the gauntlet they show (Golden Tate even drops then falls down), which would obviously be their best run to show just how affletic they are, apart from Jacoby Ford who runs at about 1/3 of his 4.28 speed and still bobbles.....impressive.

Nice clip, CO. The voiceover was satirical given the gap between what the film showed and what Caste sluts Mooch and Billick were reading from their scripts. Such marvelous athletes; the best of the best have trouble making simple catches, running in straight lines, and avoiding falling down for no discernible reason at all.

This combine was pretty disappointing. I thought Toby would run in the 4.4 range and Shipley and Cooper's 40's were worse than expected.

Overall so far a little disappointing but not a horror show either. My 3 fave wr's. Cooper ran solid--he is a big guy. White is terrific. Shipley ran slower than expected but to me it was form. He will win races in the NFL and run a better time later. Gerhart did real well and Pitta is a stud-- Tebow and Robinson are athletic QB's too bad Locker stayed another year. Robisnon is a very smooth athlete like Pitta. Colt ran a touch slower than expctlooked like he had no training for 40.

It's worth noting though that only 6 afflete running backs ran faster than Toby. Also the comparisons to Leonard are ridiculous. Toby is a much better back than Brian despite the fact that Leonard put up slightly better combine numbers.

Dan Lefevour ran a 4.66 I was really impressed by that. He was the MAC's version of Tim Tebow. Even though the so called experts keep saying how dissapointing this years quarterback class is, I think there are a lot of solid guys. Tebow, Lefevour, McCoy, Robinson, Bradford, Pike, Skelton. It will be interesting how these guys will pan out.Edited by: celticdb15

Jarrett Brown is now being hyped up as the third best quarterback in the draft. Just watch him fail like Russell and all the others.

Yeah I saw that coming. To be honest, I really am not worried. As far as im concerned black qbs have to prove themself more then white runningbacks.

Here is a recent quote from Toby is which he (gasp) actually compares himself to black RBs, as opposed to the strictly mandated comparisons to Alstott, Csonka, Riggins, Leonhard, etc.

The caste-boys know full well that drawing athletic comparisons between the much-sanctified African American Afroletes with lowly whites is true sacrilege. No matter how asinine or unfounded the association (I've heard Matt Jones compared to Wes Welker), the script of the Caste System Dinner Theatre must be followed at all costs"¦.it's not as if anyone in DWF-nation, nor in the cultural marxist MSM, is bright enough to notice, or courageous enough to take them to task should they ever notice.

The Eddie George comparison is accurate, and maybe Corey Dillon during his absolute best season"¦.as Gerhart is vastly more athletic than Dillion, and much more powerful than George. Honestly, I could see Gerhart going in the 2nd round to the Cheifs. Jamal Charles is a tiny scat-back, so Gerhart could become their work horse ala Marion Barber-Felix Jones...

COLOR BLIND
Toby Gerhart still is answering questions about being a white running back. Gerhart said he was joking around with fellow Stanford baseball/football alum John Lynch, who received the same scrutiny as a white safety in the NFL.

"I've been compared with the other ‘white guys' that have played my position,"Â￾ Gerhart said. "I get compared to (John) Riggins, (Mike) Alstott and stuff like that. But I'm color blind. I'd compare my running styles to the likes of Eddie George or Corey Dillon."Â￾

Poor Erik Lorig. I feel for you buddy, it must suck being the only white man participating today. 66 guys were invited for the D-Line group, the highest total of any group.1 is white. Maybe 2 or 3 polynesians? Now that's diversity!!

And the "experts" would have us believe that out of many thousands of White high school defensive line players in the US, only one makes it through the Caste gauntlet of college football and is worthy of a look by the NFL? Not buying it for a minute. It's time to wake up, drunk White America!

This is a new low even for the Negro Football League. One white defensive lineman invited to the Combine. That has to be the lowest number ever. I guess the league wants end and tackle to be coal black.

Also Pat Angerer ran a 4.69, Sean Lee a 4.72 and Cody Grimm a 4.54!!

No he didn't watch the combine. This is like what his 50th time here? Every week a new screenname. Unbelievable! You would think a person would have something to do with his time other than constantly use different ip addresses to sign up to this site.

Chris Johnson is a 200 pound scatback. Toby Gerhart is a 230 pound power back. A 4.53 for a power back is outstanding. Did you bother to look at the "superior" black powerbacks, Blount and Dixon's 40 numbers by comparison??

You're right WA33, this guy is an idiot. It's his opinion, with no facts to back it up, the Bloundt and Dixon are more powerful. Game film, anyone? Production, anyone? Yards gained after first contact? Uh, oh. Rodney the troll has just lost the argument.

Unathletic? Why did Toby come in the top 10 in every category for running backs? That includes 40 time, vertical jump, 3 cone drill, and shuttle.

Blount is a piece of s-it racist who shouldn's have even been invited to the Combine. Had that been a white kid who hit a black kid it would be labeled as racist and the white kid would never have been at the Combine. That's a fact. By the way the turd Lafa-got Blount ran a very pedestrian 4.6. AAHAHAH

You should watch some of Toby's highlights on Dwid's page. Watch how he punishes linebackers and defensive backs, especially in the Notre Dame game where he steamrolls number 4.
