We need Andrew Means and Stan Zwinggi to be picked up now. Thanks for compiling this backrow. Part of my big disappointment this year, is that I am very disappointed in the Giants. Overall this year was about the same as last when you count the better UFA turnout for white skill players so far.

I think also we cannot forget that the caliber of white players this year is very high in Collie, Hartline, Swift, Peterman, Barwin, and many others. Virtually all are capable of starting and some like Collie probably will.

for sure. we are still missing several notable players suck as Scirotto, Mitch King, Zwinggi, Means, Southerland.

i also wonder what do they plan to do with both Brock Bolen and Kyle Bell? outside of Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel i can't remember two white backs on the same team. not even in the preseason.

and Packers will have PC police all over them, 4 white receivers? Colts are pretty white (Gonzo, John Matthews, Collie and Giguere as well, something has got to give...) and so are Texans (Walter, Anderson, Casey, Daniels)Edited by: backrow

Mitch King went to the Titans, Swift to the Broncos
i think they had Bolen listed as a FB and the Bell as a RB

Hopefully Bolen can go to another team that doesnt have a White RB on it, a better chance for him to get some carries.

They have like 18 guys signed as UDFA's so they will have to get rid of somebodyEdited by: dwid

Last year, I think only 4 white WRs (Blythe, Swan, Amendola, Giguerre -I didn't count the Pats guy as a WR) got a shot as UFAs and 1 white RB (Woodhead). Beaver was only a camp invite.

This year 2 white RBs and 1 white RB/FB got signed as UFAs- 6 white WRs and 1 white CB signed as well. Also I think Means will be signed and Zwinggi will play in the CFL if he doesn't get a a FA contract.

Overall things got a little worse, but in some important areas we improved a bit. We had 2 WRs drafted this year and one QB/WR/RB Edelman compared to just two WRs drafted last year.

where did you hear about King? can't find anything yet.

but yeah Jags will most likely get rid of Bell, since he's les of a fullback.

also, i am happy to hear that DE Willie VanDeSteeg just signed with Ravens, he might actually stick there!

what pisses me off is, these guys are very talented and a decent amount have a chance of making a team somewhere down the line if they stuck with it and teams gave them a fair shot.

Its like the teams drafting KNEW they could get these talented White players undrafted for cheap, meanwhile drafting less talented affletes in the draft.

This makes the White players low risk high reward and the affletes higher risk, less reward, especially some of the names i saw drafted in the late rounds.

We're just cheap insurance policies in case they need us if there are a bunch of injuries to the dwf's precious affletes.

Then we shine and play at the same level or above the affletes when given the chance but then are tossed away after a performing at a high level, because they know there will be more White players that are talented that can come in case of another emergency. Theres great White football players everywhere. Theres an abundance of them, but the amount that get chances are extremely low, its ridiculous.Edited by: dwid

i love the fact that MSU DE Brandon Long got picked by 49ers, he has great chances to make a roster and even the fans are excited!

i thought he would be gone by round 6...

excerpt from the article about him after Pro Day

"But Ringer might have been outdone by Long, who was the talk of the pro day. He posted 40 times of 4.61 and 4.63 seconds and had a 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump and a 37 1/2-inch vertical leap â€â€￾ all of which would've ranked near the top at the combine. He also had a 4.37 time in the short shuttle and a 6.88 in the three-cone drill, with 32 reps on the bench press."

btw, judging from Jags website, (what's with the and trying to play QBs at different positions) they signed Desourmeaux as a SS, Lorenzen as a TE (in addition to Zach Miller QB/TE drafted late) and both white runningbacks are described as FB (they are pretty much the same size, if that's what they judge them by).
at least Peter is listed as a corner...

Great post. That about sums it up. Like Eric Peterman in Chicago being signed as a UFA after Johnny Knox was picked in the 5th round. We all know who should be considered a better prospect, but we all know who will probably be just a training camp body.

These guys will really have to get some breaks like injuries to blacks to make it. Then we all know what happens. The white guy becomes a Kevin Walter, Wes Welker, Ed McCaffrey, Peyton Hillis etc. when they finally get put on the field in a moment of desperation by a typical caste whore coach...but sometimes it is right back to the bench anyway.

A perfect example of this is Kevin Curtis, who filled in for Isaac Bruce on the Rams and got 100 yards. When healthy he is a 4.35 runner over 1100 yards (2007). Also just about every white "fullback" like Hillis or Heath Evans who averages over 4 to 5 yards a carry gets sidelined when a "real" or in other words black runningback comes to save the day. This "better" black runningback probably only weighs 210 and runs a 4.6, but has more "abilities" than white people with his 3.8 yards per carry.

Then there are the cornerbacks this year who run mid 4.6s (2 of them) who are affletes and its ok because they are athletic. Imagine if that was a white guy.

And the fallback reasoon to many of the whites not getting a chance or starting is speed? Gimme a break. NFL teams just dont like paying for sunscrean, must be a budget cut.

The Pack are my new favorite team. They used to be #2. You're right, if the Pack doesn't make the playoffs again, it could spell trouble for Thompson. They will blame him, Aaron Rodgers and may start cynically questioning all the white WRs he is bringing in for Rodgers.

Last year I think if he could have gotten around the PC police Justin Beaver would have gotten a training camp contract because he clearly had the talent and McCarthy even RAVED about him in mini-camp. Ted can only be quasi-fair in the current state of affairs, with the Luginbill's and fans anti-white watchful eyes.

Jordy Nelson is safe for now, but any of the other 3 will need to be perform way above and beyond the blacks to make the roster.

We know that Jennings, Driver, Jones and Nelson have secured roster spots unless something big changes (although I think Jones is overrated and Driver could be traded to pave way for youth). So that leaves at most 2 spots up for grabs for the 3 talented whites who will continue to be underrated to guys like James Jones and even Ruvell Martin.

The Jaguars also signed white QB Nathan Brown out of Central Arkansas.
My guess is that signing all these white QBs is just cover so they can avoid criticism when they run Garrard out there all year again. They can just say "But we tried out FOUR white QBs and none of them were good enough!"
Btw, I think Paul Smith of Tulsa is still with Jacksonville. So they've got very little excuse to not have at least a white backup QB next season.

Nice post and it does seem to sum it up. The money aspect has got to play a role...also they know that the white players will give effort, can learn systems easier and with less coach help (resource time), play through common pain in camp and of course never complain (whites are 'team guys').

If a few f/a make the team, then great. They get them on the cheap and they have the "non-stop motor" (caste speak). Double bonus for the coaches.
Plus, the white back ups or journey men don't rock the racial locker room hierarchy.

Jacksonville seems to be the biggest surprise this year. Decent amount of white f/a signings and they even drafter a few.
Not like the Jags to do this.
Even Baltimore has changed a bit. VanDenSteeg, would love to see him make the team (or any team). Great player for UMinn...yet, in all honesty, he WILL need to bulk up a bit to have a legitimate shot at a roster position.
I think he is listed at 255 for a DE. That's a bit slight. If he can get to 275 and not sacrifice speed, he could be Jason Taylor like.

in Ravens scheme he wouldn't have to be much bigger, 250-260 for the OLB (which he would probably play) is enough, Jarrett Johnson plays at 265 and is an inch shorter at 6'3.

Kettani has not signed.

it would appear not:

"Barnes, Kettani Report Premature

It turns out that Navy senior football players Eric Kettani and Tyree Barnes HAVE NOT signed free agent contracts with the New England Patriots. That report was premature as New England is among several NFL teams interested in signing Kettani or Barnes.

I just spoke with Chad Wiestling, agent for both Barnes and Kettani. Wiestling said the Patriots, Indianapolis Colts and other teams have contacted him about Barnes and Kettani, but he has not seen any formal contracts and no deal is done.

Stay tuned."

Michael Desormeaux better get a fair shot at Safety. If the Jaguars actually used all of these guys and got rid of Garrard they would be one of the more White friendly teams. That is odd. Too bad they got rid of Matt Jones.Edited by: dwid
