Immigration to Australia

(sorry if this has been discussed before, I just recently joined the site)


Seeing all these reports of Hispanics (mostly illegals from Mexico) tripling their population in American by 2050 and whites becoming a minority, I'm starting to lose hope. I've began to seriously consider a move to Australia. It's a country which is nearly 90% white (of European descent), English is pretty much the official language, there's no threat of whites becoming a minority or extinct anytime soon. As evidenced in Beijing, sports are a huge part of Australia (an important fact for a big sports fan like me), and the more I read about it, the more I'm finding Australia to be the ideal place to live. It's basically America without all the garbage (illegals from Mexico and elsewhere destroying our country, a black population who commits most of the crimes and makes up the majority of the prison population, the caste system exposed by this site, etc).


In fact, I took the test to see if would qualify under the skilled worker program, and scored a very comfortable 140 points (you need 120 to qualify). You basically become an Australian permanent resident if approved. So, if the doom and gloom projects do not hold, well, I retain my US citizenship while having a nice back-up plan. If it does (I think it will), then it's the first path to Australian citizenship. Of course, this doesn't mean I'll give up my US citizenship just yet. The only issue is the nearly $5000 application fee. I'd better start saving up!


Has anyone else considered Australia/New Zealand as a place to re-locate?

New Zealand's unofficial motto is "New Zealand: It's a nice place to visit, but we don't want you to live here."
I can't verify it, but I believe you'll find that they have the most restrictive immigration policies on Earth. They've been practicing intelligent population engineering for years. If you can't contribute significantly to their society and economy, they won't give you citizenship. A doctoral degree or a gigantic bank account is a good first step.
And don't you believe that there's no threat of whites becoming a minority in Australia. It'll just take a little longer. The non-white races overpopulate at a jaw dropping rate and they will eventually fill up every other continent. When that happens, they'll need somewhere new to send their refuse. And that's assuming that the U.N. doesn't force tens of millions of 'refugees' upon the Australians first.

foobar75, yes I'm currently waiting for my visa to come through so I can go and work in Aussie for 6 months - 1 year. I have relatives there already like a lot English people do but I also have South African relatives there aswell. The great thing about Australia is that if they get African illegals they will just send them back to Africa with no hesitation or fuss.

the vast majority of Australians have British blood in them somehwere and they have seen what non white immigration has done to the UK socially so I don't think they will ever change their immigration policies concerning non white immigration. There is however a large Chinese population, which I don't mind that much.

In NZ we do have quite restrictive immigration policies, but I'd doubt they were the most restrictive in the world. To get into NZ, you basically have to be able to speak/read/write English fluently, have good character and health, and a decent level of education and work experience. Of course, if you are from Samoa or some of the other Pacific Islands, you don't need to meet any of those criteria because you have dual citizenship and can waltz in, get on the dole(unemployment benefit), and immediately start becoming a drain on the economy. Most of our immigrants come from the UK, South Africa and East Asia, as well as the Pacific Islands.

If you're interested in NZ's demographic situation, according to the 2006 census: 77% are European or other, 15% are Maori, 10% are Asian, and 7% are Pacific (you have to take into account some people identify with more than one ethnicity).

Uruguay is around 90% white with pro-white immigration policies; I'm even getting free Spanish lessons the longer I stay in the US. They scored lowest of the functional democracies, but are well above the flawed democracies, like Brazil, Colombia, etc.

I saw an interview with a NZ government official (Minister of Labour, perhaps?) a couple of years ago. That's where I got my information. It was an interview for an American audience. Maybe immigration to NZ is easier from the Commonwealth nations.

Matt Bowen Fan Argentina is also in the 90% white range. I'd much rather live there because of the fact that many Italian immigrants arrived there in the late 1800's and early1900's. So what does that mean? I can still get good pizza . Plus the fact that Argetina basketball program is spectacular.

Well, I do speak German and some Italian, so Argentina is a possibility...we're planning a trip to Uruguay next year, maybe I'll try to extend it and go to Argentina too.

God bless all these countries for having the policies in place to maintain their white majorities. Everytime I read a census report or population projection about the US, the only thing I see is a dwindling white population at the expense of illegal latinos from Mexico, who appear to be growing their ranks at a rate of 3:1. It's truly depressing whenever I think about it.


As for Australia/New Zealand, I actually admire that their immigration rules are strict. Being that I havea bachelors in Electrical Engineering, I found my profession to be among the in-demand occupations in Australia. Combined with my age (32), proficiency in English, job history (same company since college) and a few other factors, I found myself easilyqualified for permanent residency should I decide to apply; it's definitely looking good.


I'm going to wait and see how the '08 election turns out and the overall direction of the country before making a final decision. But this is clearly on my radar screen as a high priority item.
