This is just an impression, but it just seems like through the regular season, one is faced with a surfeit of interchangeable all-black teams, but when you get deep in the tournament, you see a disproportionate number of teams with white contributors.

By way of background, Cincinnati's coach, Mick Cronin, is a 100% caste man. In seven seasons, IIRC, he's has no white scholarship players on the roster, a single Pole excepted. Like typical black players, they have no shooting ability, are terrible FT shooters, and play an all-around "affletic"...

One a team goes all-black, it's hard to sign white players, even if a coach occasionally recruits them. Not many white kids want to be the only white man on a team....

Actually, I was impressed by CSU. Louisville was just too good...probably this year's best team. But CSU's whites showed enough that one searches for an innocent explanation of how they were passed up by "name," i.e., black, programs.
