Kupp's just incredibly lucky that he's "left" wide open all the time. Everyone knows Black defenders aren't motivated to try hard against White receivers and running backs.

Congratulations to Cooper Kupp on his 2nd career 1K receiving season. He went over the mark on Sunday (week 9!) and now sits at 1,019 which is 1st in the league.

Cooper Kupp deserves to be a first team All Pro. It will be interesting to see if he's voted one at the end of the season.

I'm not jinxing this. Cmac set was one of only 3 NFL Running backs to ever have 1000 yards rushing and 1000 yards receiving. Even though I loved
that he did it I would have preferred it if he led the NFL in Rushing Yards instead. I think that leaves an even better lasting impression.

We all know what Cooper Kupp is capable of but I'm gonna stay silent on how the season plays out. I'm a huge fan but don't want to jinx anything! Let's
just hope the Coach, Off. Coord. and the QB continue to look to him as a number 1 receiver which he clearly is. Woods is very good but Kupp is great!

Rams sign effeminate obj. Hoping kupps targets and numbers don’t decrease drastically but we know obj can’t be the number 2/3 wr without throwing a tantrum. I think Robert woods is a better wr at this point

This move may be the worst thing the Rams could do. A promising season may be thrown down the drain now with this prima donna. Terrible move because I see zero pluses here and that is only because of his temperament. I hope I'm wrong.

With 7 games to go Cooper Kupp is still the Number 1 Receiver in the NFL. Bring home the title Kupp. Hope he can even break the all time record by Calvin Johnson.

I'm puzzled by the move as well. I can't see him being positive for team chemistry. Time will tell.

Cooper Kupp continues to lead the NFL in receiving yards. He now has 1237 yards on the season with 6 games to go! I'm actually glad the Rams lost
a couple of games in the last month as it means they will have to keep pushing for the best playoff spot. I really want Kupp to break the all time nfl
receiving record. It's possible with a little over 110 yards each game for all 6 games. Of course he would do it in 17 games if he acheives this goal. If
nothing else I hope he is in the top 5 ever minimum ever after 16 games which he should do easily. I can see top 3 ever after 16 but we need Stafford
to get and stay healthy.

Cooper Kupp just became the fastest NFL Wide Receiver ever to hit this mark. NO ONE EVER DID THIS BEFORE!!

Rams WR Cooper Kupp is the first player in NFL history with at least 100 catches and 10 receiving TD in his team's first 12 games of a season.

This is a video of Cooper Kupp's catches against the Jaguars.

I'm trying to figure out how he gets open so much. Here's a few amateur observations.

1) He has great awareness of what's going on on the field.
2) He has good acceleration.
3) He's good at varying his speed which confuses defensive backs.

Hiis first four steps are like lightening, the backs are beat in these 4 steps...His ability to shift, deke, turn, spin, accellerate are unparralled and his natural smarts make him a deadly opponent.

Awesome analysis!!! He also has power and
balance after the catch. I really believe he would be a excellent tailback although it would be a waste of the talents that you mentioned.

After tonights game Cooper Kupp now has 1489 yards through 13 games. Here is who he is chasing for the top single season nfl receiving seasons of all time.

1 Calvin Johnson 1964 yards
2 Julio Jones 1871 yards
3 Jerry Rice 1848 yards
4 Antonio Brown 1834 yard

I'm only putting the top 4 guys in a single season ever as that is who he is chasing!

So Kupp needs to average 119 yards a game over the last four games to break the record. He would have an asterisk as he had 17 games instead of 16 but I could
care less. We will keep track of where he is at after 16 games and see where this season compares with the best single season receiving yards ever. Let's hope that
they can get him the ball more on medium and deep routes as the short ones don't help the stats too much and he takes so many hits. Let' go Cooper Kupp! :)

I dug into pro football reference, and Kupp is #7 on the all time White receiving seasons:
1. Charley Hennigan 1,746
2. Lance Alworth 1,602
3. Wes Welker 1,569
4. Charley Hennigan 1,546
5. Jordy Nelson 1,519
6. Elroy Hirsch 1,495
7. Cooper Kupp 1,489

6. Elroy Hirsch 1,495
7. Cooper Kupp 1,489

Elroy Hirsch, in a 12-game season in1951, gained 1495 yards with a 22.7 per catch and 17 TDs. Over 16 games that would be 1993 yards.

There won't be an asterisk (or at least there shouldn't be) as none have been used previously for single season records as the season expanded from 12 to 14 and then to 16 games.

That season by Hirsch is equal or better than what Calvin Johnson did. For Hirsch to do that in 12 games is insane. Would have loved to have seen it. Wish we had footage of it.

Charley Hennigan has the most yards ever by any white receiver in nfl history and has the 6th most yards by any nfl receiver ever in a season. I posted about him a while back.

There never was an asterisk for Eric Dickerson breaking O.J. Simpson's record for rushing yardage in a season. Dickerson gained 2105 yards in a 16 game season in 1984, to Simpson's 2003 for 14 games in 1973. Dickerson's record has stood ever since. Adrian Peterson came closest with 2097 in 2012.

Rushing yardage records, whether game, season, or career, have always been considered more attention worthy than records for passing or pass receiving yardage. I hope Cooper Kupp breaks the pass receiving yardage record. The reaction will be interesting.

Boy, consider how impressive Welker’s finest season was as he worked nearly exclusively out of the slot his whole career. He worked the middle of the field with monster linebacker and safeties trying to take his head off. Wes deserves to be in the HOF.

I think because the numbers are too large fore passing and receiving. It's just not as easy to remember the passing yardage records of what each hall of fame qb ended up with, also you have the problem of eras obscuring the greatness of previous eras.

Rushing records were probably viewed as greater because until about 20+ years ago the NFL was a run first league and pre 78' the league had fullbacks or tailbacks as the face of various teams less innovative bomber type qb's like Namath.
